CHAPTER 20
*~* Breaker *~*
I’m staying away from the house until later tonight because Molly is having her powwow with Bri and Marcia. We are all interested in what is going to happen with the three of them because of how they are going to find Carrie-Anne.
We’ve, well I should say Bull, has done a lot of digging into the stepsister’s past, and it’s not pretty. She has never held a job for over three weeks, living off anyone that would help her. She’s a bottom feeder and not giving anything to her family, which is Molly, or the world in general.
I can understand why Molly says she’s gonna kill Carrie-Anne, but I’m not sure if it came to it she’d be able to actually do it? But any of the brothers in the club will easily take the bitch out and think nothing of it.
Saddle and Bank take a seat at the table with me in the rec room. I take a swallow of the beer I’ve been nursing for the last hour. I never have more than one beer when I’m riding, and that’s what I’ll be doing later.
“I hope they come up with a good plan,” Bank mumbles, picking up his beer.
Saddle chuckles. “Brothers, we both know the two of them are deadly when they want to be, but that two has become three and we don’t know as yet the full potency of Molly.”
“She’s had to look after herself for years.
She knows Carrie-Anne better than any of us, although we have found through Bull’s investigation she’s a toxic bitch.
I’m trusting what they come up with as long as it’s not dangerous to themselves.
” I look from Bank to Saddle, and they both give me a nod of agreement.
“You claiming, Molly?” Bank suddenly asks.
Saddle chuckles when I splutter into my beer. “Come on, Breaker, pull up your panties and get on with it. We can all see you want her.”
“Yeah, I’m gonna claim her. I need to order her property patch.”
I give Bull a small nod as he takes a seat at the table. Places his beer down and sighs. “I’ve already seen it on order. Think Pres put the order in,” smirking broadly.
“Fuckin’ hell, sometimes Pres is like a nosy old woman,” I snap.
“Is that right, Breaker?”
Closing my eyes, because could my luck have run out just at that moment?
Opening my eyes, I look into Whack’s who had taken a seat at the table.
His eyes are full of humor, and I’ve two options here.
I either ignore the fact I just put my foot in it, or I face up to it.
Well, of course, I am who I am, and I face up to it.
“Yeah, it is right, Whack. You butt in at times when you shouldn’t, but most of the fuckin’ time you are on point. ”
“Breaker, from the moment you brought Molly to the clubhouse it was obvious you liked the woman. It was only a matter of time before you admitted to yourself that it was more than a kidnapping friendship that was growing. But I’ll tell you now that I respected you as a brother and a friend by not going after Molly myself.
I could see her being a fantastic first lady of the club, so don’t loiter because there are more than me and Griller could be interested in snapping her up.
” Whack takes a long drink of his beer before walking away from the table.
Bear is at the bar with Pens, Wraith and Riddle. It looks like they are talking to him about that bitch, Angel. “Hey, Bear, are you worrying about that worthless niece of yours?” I shout.
He turns, giving me a nod. “I’m her only family now, Breaker, you know this.”
“Yeah, and I know she’s using you. While you keep wiping her ass, she’s never going to grow up. You want help to empty the house ready for listing?” I can see the situation is cutting him up, but you can bet your life that Angel is already planning something, or some way of surviving.
“Got it covered, Breaker, but thanks.” Bear walks toward the stairs where he’s reopened his room. He’s not used it for two years in any full-time way. He lays his head down now and again when he’s had too much to drink, but now he’s moved in to use it permanently.
Saddle stands and puts his phone into his cut pocket. “Come on, let’s get out of here. I’m ready to go home to Bri.”
“Yeah, I’m ready to go home to Marcia too.” Bank takes his empty beer bottle along with ours to the bar and gives the prospect a nod.
Climbing on my hog, I fire her up and follow Bank out of the compound. Saddle is behind me, and the three of us roar down the road enjoying the evening air.
Back at the clubhouse this morning I’m still wondering how we are going to get any information out of Bri and Marcia.
They are still talking together about how to find Carrie-Anne, and they still have to speak to Molly.
Last night they were so tight-lipped I was impressed.
Under interrogation, I’m sure the fuckers would say nothing.
In my club room, I check the bathroom, and it’s not cleaned properly again. I’m going to speak with Pattie, and if she can’t sort out the problem with the club girls not cleaning as they should I’m going to take it further.
Where the fuck is my hoodie? I empty my dresser, wardrobe and even the laundry basket. It’s not anywhere in sight. I even looked under the fuckin’ bed!
Taking my phone from the bedside table, I texted Pattie.
Breaker: Get to my room. I have a problem for you to sort out.
Pattie: I’ll be with you in two minutes.
Looking at the messages, I cringe because this could be misconstrued, and I’m not having my balls being placed in anyone’s fucking purse.
Breaker: It’s about the mess and missing clothing!
Pattie: OK.
I tidy the clothing I had dumped on the bed and wait for Pattie to arrive. It doesn’t take long before a light tap on the door gets my attention.
“Come in,” I shout, but follow that when I see it’s Pattie with, “leave the door open.” No way am I having anyone say I was in my room with Pattie and the door was closed.
I see Winger walking past, and call out. “Winger, hang on a minute.” Winger steps to my door and leans against the door frame. “I want a witness that nothing happened in my room between me and Pattie. I’m gonna claim Molly, and I want no misunderstandings.”
“Sensible, Breaker.” Winger looks at Pattie who is also nodding and giving a soft smile at me.
“You should be careful, Breaker. Some of the club girls will try to cause any trouble they can until Molly is wearing the property patch, and has put them one more time in their place.” Pattie stands on one side of the bed while I’m on the other side.
“Look at my bathroom, Pattie. I had to clean it after Mella last time. I’m not sure who was cleaning this time, but I’m not cleaning up after they are supposed to have done it.”
Pattie looks around the bathroom and then steps into the bedroom with a pissed-off look on her face. “Julia was cleaning in here. Leave it with me, Breaker, I’ll sort her out.”
“Have you seen my hoodie anywhere by any chance?” I ask.
“You mean the black one with the motif on the front?” Pattie frowns.
“Yeah, that’s the one.”
“I think I’ve seen that somewhere. Leave it with me and I’ll keep my eyes open for it.” Tapping her chin in thought, before shaking her head and walking out of the room leaving Winger watching her ass as she goes down the corridor.
“She’s a good woman, Breaker. It’s a shame she isn’t out of here by now.” Winger shakes his head. “Not my business. You okay now?”
“Yeah, thanks, Winger. You know what it’s like around here for gossip, and the wrong kind of gossip too.”
Chuckling, Winger nods. “Oh, yeah. But you are covered. Get your woman locked down, Breaker, because more than one of the brothers has their eye on her.”
In the rec room, I notice Bear is back sitting with a hangdog look. “You still worrying, Bear?”
“No, I’m wondering if I should do some hunting…”
“Hunting?” I take a seat at the table with him. “What do you mean, hunting?”
“I was thinking of giving Angel some money to help her set herself up with an apartment. Opened my banking app and half my fuckin’ savings have been taken. The only person who could have done that was…”
“Angel…!” I snarl. “Come on, Bear. We’re gonna track that bitch using Bull’s program because we all know he would have tagged her somehow with being your niece.”
After thirty minutes of waiting for Bull to track Angel as she’s moving around at this point in time, I turn when I hear my name. Pattie is standing outside Bull’s door holding my hoodie.
“Where did you find it?”
“It was in Floss’s room. I knew I’d seen it, but it took me a few to remember. She has been wearing it in her room. I’m taking it to the laundry, if that’s okay. I’ll make sure it gets back to your room. I told her she can expect you to speak to her.” Pattie waits for my response.
“Okay, thanks, Pattie. Yeah, I don’t want to wear it if she’s been strutting around in it.
In fact, trash it. I’ll buy a new one.” Shuddering because I don’t want to wear it even after it has gone through the laundry.
You never know what she’s done in it. “I’ll speak with Whack and see what he suggests because I’ve about had enough of that bitch. ”
“I’ll dispose of it, Breaker. Would you mind if I took it to the charity shop?”
“That’s fine, Pattie. I don’t mind as long as that bitch doesn’t get her hands on it again.”
Before we can say more Bear walks past me with determination in his step. Bull watches after him, then looks at me. “Make sure a brother goes with him, Breaker. Angel is in Cobra’s territory.”
“Oh, fuck.” I rush past Pattie and after Bear. I’m not in time to see him tearing out of the compound, but thankfully he had Sprinter and Vortex behind him.
Walking back into the clubhouse I feel a vibration from my phone. Checking it’s a message from Smoker.
Smoker: Hog sold, money with you today.
Breaker: Great, thanks, brother.
Smoker: He will collect in the next few weeks. He’s on a mission for his president at this minute.
Once I get the money for my girl, I’m gonna see about a custom hog and have her painted by the woman Smoker knows. It’ll make her stand out, and if anyone touches that one they’ll follow Fink to hell.
The day has passed far too fast, and I’m walking into Molly’s house with meat that I’m leaving for the freezer.
I’m not having my woman paying for food when I can supply it.
I’ve already spoken to the store where Molly always shops regarding the payment of any groceries she purchases.
I left my card details with the manager of the store as I know him and can trust him not to do anything stupid.
He knows he’ll end up dead if he does, make no mistake, I made that perfectly obvious.
After placing the meat away, I drag my ass upstairs and empty the second haul of clothing I’ve brought from the clubhouse. I needed my phone charger and other stuff now that I’m living here.
I smirk because I’ve ideas on how I’m going to cozy up to Molly. She’s no idea what’s coming, but she’s mine and I’m making my move.
Stepping back into the kitchen I fill the coffee machine and set it going. I know Molly loves her coffee, and this is the first thing I’m going to do to let her know that I’m here to stay.
My phone rings, and picking it up I see it is Cannon contacting. “Cannon?”
“Just a heads-up that my street kids think they’ve seen Carrie-Anne around town. They were not able to catch her, but she had someone with her and as the kids chased her, she jumped into a black van and was driven away. Brother, it seems she got herself an accomplice.”
“Let Bri and Marcia know, and I’ll inform Molly.” I rub my chin. “I don’t know your thoughts, Cannon, but I reckon we should bury the bitch and be done with it. I know Whack wanted to run her out of town, or hand her over to the Cobras, but I think she’s the sort to keep causing trouble.”
Cannon chuckles. “I agree. She needs ending.”
I’m not sure how Molly will react, but I’m sure it has gotta be done.
