Teresa Reynova #2

“Because you’re going to do anything I want from here on out.” He shrugged like his word was law. I laughed because he was out of his mind if he thought that was true. “I’m serious.” His eyes shifted into something different, something I couldn’t read. “We’re going to go out.”

“Are you really this hard up for a date?”

“No,” he replied casually, but I ignored him. Tried to remind him I wasn’t the only woman in existence.

“I’m pretty sure I’ve seen half the volleyball girls and Kappa’s fawning over you.”

It was true.

It always annoyed me when I’d be in the elevator with him and I’d see one of them trying to get all touchy-feely with him. Not that I had a right to get upset. He wasn’t mine. He wasn’t anything to me. Other than your bully now. Bully? More like blackmailer. Tomato-tomatoh.

“Keeping an eye on me, have you?” he asked. I rolled my eyes with way too much attitude considering the situation I was in.

“Look—“

“No, Teresa,” he cut me off. You look.” He stepped closer until my back hit the metal cabinet. We were pressed so close together, our chests touched, and I had no choice but to look up at him and rest my hand on his. “We’re going out.”

“Jeremy.” His name came out breathier than I’d expected. Any other words vanished from my mind when he leaned forward, his scent wafted into my lungs, and I got dizzy.

He smelled good.

Better than good.

Like sandalwood and citrus and something I knew down to my bones was uniquely him. Jeremy’s blue eyes darkened before his face dropped even lower. My knees started to shake. His harsh breath brushed against my lips, making them tingle.

Is he going to kiss me? Why do I want that? My eyes slowly fluttered shut when his nose gently slid gently along mine.

“We’re going to go out.”

“I don’t think so,” I whispered half-heartedly

“Hmm… I do,” he answered arrogantly. “Now you’re going to kiss me.” It sounded like a demand, and I wasn’t going to overthink the way my body reacted to it as my pussy fluttered at his order.

“Excuse me?” My voice cracked, but I didn’t have time to think. The door opened and the lights in the room turned on.

“What the—“ a distraught voice sounded.

My heart leapt from my chest just as Jeremy’s lips touched mine, and despite the fear and anxiety, every single thought melted from my brain. Nothing but the sensation of his full lips dragging seductively against mine in what I could only describe as the best first kiss ever remained.

My lips parted without request, and he didn’t hesitate to pull me closer, gliding his tongue against mine. His hand around my waist tightened, and I moaned. Actually moaned! Shamelessly turning into liquid goo in his arms. Never, ever had I been so turned on by a damn kiss.

“What is going on here!” a shrill voice cut through the blood rushing in my ears. He pulled away, breaking a kiss I wasn’t ready to be over. I whimpered at the loss!

My eyes opened, and I squinted at the brightness of the room. Right behind Jeremy Fletcher stood the head librarian.

“What are you two doing in here?”

“Shit,” I whispered, fear slowly creeping up my back. Jeremy turned around and tucked me into his side, my body easily fitting almost perfectly against his. Another thing I was going to refuse to overthink about. Liar, a little voice in my head said.

“I’m sorry about this. My girl and I… Shit, shoot, I mean, we got carried away.” He shrugged, and I looked up at him only to see him with a genuinely honest-to-goodness dopey-ass smile on his face.

“This isn’t a hotel.” The librarian stomped her foot before opening the door wider and pointing towards the opening.

“We know. Sorry. Things got out of hand. She just agreed to be mine,” he shared, but I was too scared out of my mind to glare at him. “I think you can understand; young love and all.” Her lips pursed like she was trying not to get charmed by him. I knew firsthand just how tough that battle was.

“Congrats, but this isn’t a hotel. Out!” she clipped. His arm dropped from my shoulder and his hand tangled with mine. “Wait, how did you two get in here?” she asked the moment we stepped out of the room. My blood turned to ice. Her eyes darted to me and then locked with his.

Shit! This was where it all went to hell!

In my head, I could imagine the disappointed faces of my parents when I’d have to tell them I was kicked out for cheating. Attempted cheating? My heart was beating in my ears at that point, but without missing a beat, Jeremy Fletcher covered for me.

“I actually found these.” He pulled a set of jingling keys from his back pocket, keys that most certainly weren’t the ones I’d swiped from Sadie. “They were on the floor right outside.”

“Shit,” she muttered under her breath, taking them and looking at him then me.

“I must have dropped them.” I could tell by the look on her face she knew it could mean her getting in trouble as well.

“Either way, this room is off limits, and if I catch you two… canoodling here or in one of the study rooms, I’ll be forced to ban you from the library,” she sternly scolded.

I nodded furiously before Jeremy pulled my arm and we rushed out of the library.

We didn’t stop until we were halfway to the dorms, and when we looked at one another, both a little breathless and pale, the moment our gazes connected, the two of us started to laugh. Easy and carefree like two little kids who just got away with something mischievous.

My laughter started to die down, and before I could stop myself, I moved closer to him, and it was obvious he noticed.

His blue eyes caught mine, and I swallowed hard.

In that moment, I wasn’t sure what, but something came over me.

It was like I no longer had control of my seriously traitorous body.

My hand rose and rested on the middle of his ridiculously wide, solid chest.

I could have sworn his heart raced under my palm, but I couldn’t get myself to focus enough to figure it out above the overwhelming need to kiss him again. It was like I was under some kind of spell. And again, the man who had just blackmailed me, bullied me into going out with him, reacted.

Jeremy moved in closer.

Impossibly close.

He leaned forward, my body rose to the tips of my toes, and before I knew what I was doing, my lips were on his and I was kissing him.

It wasn’t sweet or soft or even a little gentle.

It didn’t have the kind of slow build you would have with someone you just met.

Nope. This guy, who I’d assumed would be all about himself and his ego, kissed with passion and heat and a domineering control that even I couldn’t lie to myself made my knees wobble a little.

Undoubtedly generous and in tune with my body.

As if somehow knowing his effect on me, he wrapped his hands around my middle, holding me flush against him. My breath hitched in the middle of my throat when I felt it. Hard and thick. It seemed like I wasn’t the only one feeling the best kiss ever.

Damn, the first one wasn’t some kind of fluke!

I wasn’t above admitting that feeling his hard thickness pressed against my belly was a little of an ego boost. Not to mention the way it kicked up my already overheated blood. Jeremy’s fingers dug into my sides possessively, and I couldn’t deny how much I liked that, too.

Shit. Jeremy Fletcher was trouble with a capital T.

Not only was I attracted to him, but he kissed like the devil and made my head swim with need. Nothing but him and I and that damn kiss existed. A sinfully delicious growl bubbled through him, making my nipples tighten almost painfully as wet warmth pooled embarrassingly between my legs.

My lungs burned, and the world as I knew it tilted on its axis a second before he broke the kiss. “Fuck,” he cursed before resting his forehead against mine.

“Wow,” I stupidly whispered, and I knew he’d heard when he gave me an all-knowing smug smirk. “Shut up,” I sassed, taking a huge step away from him.

Not that I got too far since my legs were still a little shaky, they wobbled, but he held me in his arms, not letting me go too far. “Be careful, babe.” The genuine concern in his voice jarred me.

“I’m not your babe,” I argued half-heartedly as my fingers rose to touch my lips. They were swollen and wet. I licked them again, hating how much I loved the taste of him there.

“Teresa,” he tsked. “Thought we had a deal.”

A deal. Shit! What am I doing? This guy was blackmailing me, bullying me for some damn reason to go out with him, and I was willingly kissing him! He pulled his phone from his pocket as if to remind me what he had on me. I glared at him.

“Whatever.” There was no fight in my voice, yet his dark brows narrowed.

“Don’t do that.” He shook his head, his blue eyes darkening with warning. “You kissed me.”

“I didn’t— I—“ I stuttered because he was right. I had been the one to all but throw myself at him and kiss him after almost getting caught red-handed. “How did you have her keys?”

“Tell me you kissed me. I didn’t start that.” He was like a dog with a bone, and I knew by the way he stood and his jaw ticked that he wasn’t going to let it go.

“Fine.” I might have childishly stomped my foot. “I kissed you. Kisses… happen.” It was a weak argument at best, but his lips twitched like he thought my pouting was cute, which only made everything inside of me feel even more confused.

“Like I told her, I found them outside.” He shrugged.

I couldn’t tell if he was lying. “Make sure to return your roommate hers,” he reminded me.

My mouth opened on instinct to give him some snarky response, but it seemed he was done with our little chat.

Jeremy simply turned and, before he started to walk, took my hand in his, tangling our fingers together like we’d held hands a million times before, and started walking.

And for some reason, I didn’t fight him.

I didn’t shake his hand away from mine. I didn’t yell at him to let go or shout for help.

Nope, I didn’t do anything but let him lead the way home.
