7. Teresa
“Baby,” Jeremy rasped, his voice scratchy and slightly smoky while his nose glided up and down the line of my own. “You called me a bully.” The reminder delivered in his sharp tone sent a delicious thrill down my spine.
Bully.
My bully.
I had no idea why the hell that turned me on like it did. I knew deep down, Jeremy was a good guy, probably one of the best with his teddy bear, golden retriever vibes.
“And?” I wanted to tip him over the edge. Loved how he pinned me against the door after he freed himself of my panties wrapped around his wrist in the blink of an eye.
“You keep pushing buttons, that’s exactly what you’re going to get.
” His warning only fueled my need. And if that wasn’t enough, he kept talking, every word making me drip with need.
“An unhinged man who needs to put his hands and mouth and dick all over you. By any means necessary. If I were you, I would be careful,” he rasped.
“A man so fucking obsessed and fucking lost in his need for you, the line between right and wrong blurs.” I shivered.
I had to be sick in the head. I liked everything he was saying.
No. I loved it. Oh god, was I falling in love with Jeremy Fletcher? “So be careful, cielo.”
“Careful sounds boring.” I said, my voice was shockingly steady. I knew what I was doing. “Show me how unhinged you can get, big guy.”
Taunting him.
Pushing him to the edge to show me a side of him I somehow knew was only for me.
“Show me how much you want me, Jeremy,” I pleaded, my mouth a breath from his.
Before I could blink, he picked me up; my legs wrapped around his middle instinctively. His massive chest pressed against mine and he caged me tighter against the wooden door.
“You don’t know what you’re doing, cielo.”
“I don’t?” I smirked. “I think I do.” I kissed his cheek, and something feral, almost primal took over. I licked him with the flat of my tongue, from his chin to just under his eye. “I want you,” I moaned, loving how he tasted.
“Baby,” he pleaded, sounding almost like he was in pain. “I won’t be able to hold back.”
“I don’t need you to.”
“Fuck.”
“I can take you,” I promised, almost positive I was chewing off way more than I could chew. “I want you. The real you. Give me that,” I whined, knowing I sounded like a spoiled brat. But damn if the hardness pressing against the inside of my thigh didn’t seem to grow harder.
“I take you, that’s it.” Jeremy swallowed, intensity brewing in his gaze. I wasn’t sure if it was a threat or a promise, but either way, I wanted him. “No returns. No take-backs, Teresa. You’ll be stuck with me.”
Stuck with him. I pulled back and stared at the most beautiful blue eyes I’d seen in my whole life, and something struck me. They weren’t just a set of beautiful blue eyes. They were the eyes I knew I’d more than happily stare into for the rest of my life.
It hit me like a wall of bricks, but it didn’t scare me.
It should have, though.
We were at a point in our lives where everything was so uncertain.
Neither of us knew where our lives would go.
He had a year of school left, and I had two.
If we did this, really took a chance on one another like he was threatening, we’d have to build everything together.
Scouts and drafts were definitely in his future.
Me? That ground was a little shakier. It could go either way.
It depended if a women’s soccer team looked at me and made me a good enough offer before I had to choose law school over sports.
But as complicated and blurry as the future might have felt, I knew without a doubt where my heart wanted to go.
What my body and soul needed.
His gaze searched mine while I lovingly stroked his face, loving the slight stubble on his jaw, one I knew would feel incredible between my thighs.
“Teresa,” he growled, impatience obviously setting in.
“We’re already past the point of no return, Jeremy.
” His hands clenched around my thighs. “No take-backs. No returns. No refunds. Just…” His body stilled, holding me in place almost like a statue as if he was holding his breath.
“No lies. No games. Not between us,” I added.
He made an animal-like sound before his mouth crashed to mine.
The kiss was passionate.
Wet and deep. His hands tangled in my hair, fingers dragging against my scalp to get control of my head to move me however he needed. Our tongues dueled and teeth scraped. Like gasoline to a bonfire, we burned hotter, needier. Hornier.
Our hands were a flurry of movement.
“You’re wearing too much,” I pouted and felt his lips move upward before he slowly set me down on the ground.
Without looking away, he pulled his shirt up, exposing his sculpted chest. He was all smooth and golden tanned skin. When it was gone, I reached for his belt, but his hands covered mine and he shook his head as he walked backwards, leading the two of us towards the bed.
“Turn,” he ordered, and my mouth went dry. Yeah, maybe I had pushed the beast a little too far? “Now, Teresa,” he demanded sternly. My thighs pressed together on their own.
“Tere,” I softly corrected.
“Maybe to everyone else, but to me you’re Teresa. You’re mine. Mi cielo. My everything.” Shit. With sweet words like that, I would never be able to give him shit. I did as he asked and turned around, giving him my back. “Good girl. Now close your eyes.”
“Or what?” I guessed giving him shit came naturally.
“Or I’m going to blindfold you, bend you over my knee, and spank this perfect ass until my hand is perfectly imprinted on each fucking cheek.
And trust me, cielo, I’ll have you begging me for more while you apologize for being a bad girl and not listening to what your man needs you to do.
” My thighs pressed together as I tried to control my errant breathing.
“Fine,” I mumbled under my breath because I was almost positive he wasn’t bluffing. I shut my eyes and shivered when I felt him stand closer, his big almost mitt-size hands resting on my hips.
“Good girl,” he praised. I never got the whole praise kink thing when I read it in books, but hearing the growl-like quality in his tone, I now did.
Carefully, he brushed my hair off my neck, letting it hang off one side. His lips found that spot again, the one that had my toes curling inside of my shoes and made me uncomfortably wet. The ache between my legs grew in intensity.
“Jeremy—“
“Shh… trust me, Teresa,” he whispered. My skin broke out in goose bumps.
Part of me, the cynical, sarcastic side, wanted to buck at his words.
Trust didn’t come easy to me. But I couldn’t lie to him or myself, because at the end of the day, I wasn’t sure when it happened, but I trusted him. Completely.
Even with how worked up he was, there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that if I said we needed to stop, he would.
His hands left my hips and traveled up my back until they stopped at the zipper.
Slowly, he pulled it down. Cool air immediately hit my overheated, exposed skin.
I took a sharp breath. The tips of Jeremy’s thick fingers dragged down my spine, and I couldn’t stop the way my body melted into his touch.
That’s when I felt it.
His lips pressed teasingly soft kisses to my skin that made me burn from the inside out.
From the back of my neck, his mouth traveled leisurely down to just above my lower back.
He straightened. Both of our breathing was jagged.
His hands moved to push down the material of my sundress, first my right arm, then my left, before he let gravity take hold of the fabric until it pooled by my feet.
“Turn around, sweetheart,” he ordered, and I did.
Silently, I stared at him, taking in the way he soaked in the sight of my naked body in front of him. Part of me wanted to cover up, but I couldn’t, not when he stared at me like I was the most precious yet sexy thing he’d ever laid eyes on.
“I knew you’d be breathtaking, but fuck.” He bit his fist, and I chewed on my bottom lip to stop myself from laughing.
“You’re ridiculous.”
“I’m yours,” he answered, dropping his hands to his sides.
“Now it’s your turn.” With shaky hands, I reached out to undo his belt, but Jeremy had other plans. He shook his head as his hands took hold of mine.
“Uh-uh,” he grunted, and before I knew it, my feet no longer touched the ground.
Carefully, he set me down in the middle of the bed. My legs spread wider to accommodate his large body. I stared up at him and, without thinking, words slipped past my lips. I instantly wanted to take back.
“Should I be worried about how many girls you’ve hooked with up on this thing?” I asked like the smartass I was, more than likely ruining the mood. But he chuckled easily and shook his head before covering my body with his own.
“Cielo, I’m trying focus on the beauty I have in front of me, and you’re trying to make me laugh?” he asked, peppering kisses against my jaw.
“I wasn’t joking.” My voice cracked, exposing my vulnerable underbelly. “Well, maybe.” I moaned when his mouth touched a sensitive spot on my neck.
“Only you, Teresa. Only you here and in my bed at the dorm.” He pulled back, and my hand rose to touch his jaw.
“Mine too,” I shared, “I mean, I’ve never taken anyone back to my dorm.”
“Good. I’d hate to have to kill him. I don’t think I could rock orange.”
“I don’t know.” I whimpered as his hands traveled down my body. “I think you would look good in a Padres jersey.” I moaned as his fingers found their way between my thighs.
“You think so? You like San Diego?”
“I like being with you.”
“Fuck,” he cursed, and our lips crashed together. I swallowed his deep groan as his fingers slid between my folds, then gasped.
“Soaked. You’re fucking soaked,” he rasped, pulling back to stare down at me. His nose flared, and his forehead pressed against mine.
“For you. All for you,” I cried as I undulated my hips under him.
“Shit, cielo,” he rasped. “It’s been a while for me.”
“Me too,” I panted. “I’m clean and on the pill.”
