Epilogue Still Here #2

“She does.” He stepped back, giving me the ground, and began unbuttoning his shirt with the calm of a man planning to keep up. “She never forgot for one second. Trust her. I’ll be right beside you.”

I closed my eyes. I unfolded the last folded thing.

And I let her out.

The shift did not tear through me like the weather.

It rose through me like a tide coming home.

Nine years arriving all at once, painless and enormous.

The world exploding into scent and depth and moonrise.

Then the snow was under four paws instead of two feet, and the night was a thousand times larger than it had ever been, and she was out, she was out, she was OUT.

A silver wolf stood beside me at the tree line, huge and patient, his eyes gray and burning and entirely his.

My wolf—I—turned to him and pressed my muzzle to the curve of his shoulder, to the mark beneath the fur. He made a low sound I felt through the ground. The bond between us ran wide open in a grammar older than any of our languages: mate. home. run.

We ran.

Not away from anything. For the first time in either of our lives, not away from anything at all.

Over the snow, through the black trees, under a rising moon.

Two wolves at a dead run with no pursuit anywhere in the world.

If you had been standing at the tall window at the end of the east corridor, you would have seen them cross the white grounds side by side, matched stride for stride.

And you would have heard, rising off the winter dark, a sound the Ashveil Estate had never hosted in all its careful years:

Two wolves, singing.

Still here. Still here. Still, and always, here.

Thank you for reading Bound To The Shadow Guard.

Elise Arden never wanted a bodyguard, a fake fiancé, or a Pack Guard wolf reading her every move.

Gideon Cross never once let a mission become personal.

But some engagements stop being cover — and some claims run in both directions.

If their story stayed with you, the tables without names are only beginning to turn.

A Wolf shifter Touch Her and Die Romance

The tip line rang at ten-fifteen on a Tuesday night.

By ten forty-two, I was standing at her door.

I'm the Pack Guard's fixer — the man who moves the assets, runs the logistics, and never appears on anyone's org chart. I don't work protection details. I don't do attachments. And I have never once heard my wolf say a word.

Then Ivy Bennett opens her door.

A seer nobody believed — not her family, not the specialist who spent three years teaching her to doubt her own eyes. She saw the man hunting her before he ever found her trail. She reported it when no one else would have dared.

And my wolf chose her before she finished her first sentence.

The tracker circling her has taken three seers in four years. None of them were ever seen again. As we pack to run, her phone lights up with four words: I see you too.

He sees her.

He doesn't see me yet.
