I am waiting outside Rhonda’s, for Chandra to get off work.

She works as a waitress in the only cafe we have downtown.

We did recon at the pier and came up empty handed.

They were either a pop up operation or they are one that moves operations frequently to stay off radar.

Chandra told me she couldn’t be cooped up at the clubhouse any longer.

That she has a life to live and bills to pay.

I agreed after a lot of arguing with her.

I didn’t want to be the bad guy and lose any chance with her.

“What are thinking about?” she asks me as she steps up to me, handing me her purse, which I put into one of my saddlebags.

“Bending you over and having my way with you,” I reply, and she smiles, shaking her head. I’ve been pushing my luck for the past week with no hint of her bending to my will.

“I want to take this slow,” she says, and I nod before leading her into the clubhouse where we are met with blaring music and whores walking around or doing things with my men. She learned a week ago that the guy she was dating that he sold her into trafficking.

“Hey baby,” one of the whores say as she walks up and puts her hands on my chest. I remember she said her name was Misty when we interviewed her. She looks over at Chandra, giving her a dirty look, and Chandra pulls away from me.

“Take your hands off me,” I demand her, and she grinds her body against mine.

“What do you want with her when you can have this?” she asks right before her body leaves mine and I see Chandra has her hair in her hand, dragging her away from where I’m standing.

“He’s mine you bitch!” she yells out right before she throws her into the table next to them. The music cuts off, and they become the center of attention.

“That’s not what he told me yesterday,” Misty says right before Chandra bounces her head off the top of the table.

She lets her hair go and looks over at me.

I can see the moment in her eyes when she starts believing what she said.

She takes off running to the hallway, and I run after her.

As I make it to my room, I’m greeted with the door being slammed in my face.

I growl and enter my room, closing the door behind me.

“I didn’t say that to her,” I plead with her as she sits on the bed. She sniffles, and that’s when I realize she’s been crying. I take a step towards her as she looks up at me.

“I don’t believe you,” she says to me as I kneel in front of her, taking in the beauty she is.

“The moment I laid my eyes on you I felt this need to have you. I can’t explain it,” I confess to her, and she gives me a smile. I will show her every day that she is the only woman I have eyes for.
