EPILOGUE TWO
About ten years later

I look in the stands and see Hanna cheering alongside her parents and mine. Emma’s on the other side of Hanna, yelling as loud as can be. I look out at the field and watch Carson rounding the bases after hitting a home run.
Nowadays my time is filled coaching Carson’s little league team along with the high school’s varsity football team. I help with the high school baseball team occasionally as well, since Carter’s the head coach.
I’ve been retired from the Axemen for a little over six years. I made that decision when our little Caranna was born. With two kids at home and my injuries piling up, it just made sense.
I look back up at the stands, and in Hanna’s arms is our newest addition. My woman is amazing. I’m glad I get to be the one she chooses to love each and every day. She’s with me till the end of the road.
