Chapter 4
Crue
Isat at my desk and looked down at my watch.
It was six o’clock, and I knew I should have been gone by now.
The office was quiet because most of the employees had already gone home for the day.
I leaned back in my chair, eyes on the computer screen in front of me, but I wasn’t reading it anymore.
My day had been long, filled with meetings and calls from clients that wanted things handled immediately.
I was trying to go over the last few reports I had left before I went home, but the day had gotten the best of me.
I reached for the glass sitting on my desk, taking a slow sip before setting it back down.
I pushed my chair away from my desk and stood up, walking over to the window and looking out at my city.
It had been a couple of weeks since Saniyah had started, and I had to admit that she was doing way better than I thought she would.
She caught on quick, and that was always a good thing in this business.
I couldn’t lie; she might have been the best secretary we’d had since we started the business.
Not only was she good at her job, but she was also beautiful.
I always thought that it was good to have a little eye candy around the office.
As hard as I was on her in the first two weeks she’d worked here, I was glad that she didn’t fold under the pressure that I had been applying.
There were moments where I just watched her while she worked, maybe from my office or down the hallway.
She worked so effortlessly, as if the job was made just for her.
Sitting back at my desk, I glanced at my computer once more. I thought about finishing up but then quickly decided against it. After shutting down my computer, I grabbed my belongings and walked out of my office. Saniyah was still sitting at her desk when I walked out, and I frowned.
“You still here? I thought you would have left at five with everyone else,” I asked as I walked up to the desk.
She looked up at me, smiling faintly. “I didn’t want to leave without getting everything done. Once I finish inputting this last page of clients, I’ll be leaving.”
I nodded before letting her know to have a good night and walking out the building.
I didn’t have anything planned tonight other than going home and relaxing.
I was going to stop by my favorite Italian spot, grab me some pasta, and take my ass home.
Getting into my car, I rolled my windows down instead of turning on the air.
It was a beautiful day outside, and I wanted to enjoy some of the fresh air.
Once I made it home with my carryout, I opened all the blinds before placing my pasta on a plate and grabbing a beer from the fridge. I’d just sat down at my kitchen island when my phone rang. Looking down at the screen, I saw it was Kadeem and swiped the talk button.
“What up doe?” I answered.
“What up doe? We got a client that’s having a private event on Friday night. I have to be in Atlanta that day, so I need you to handle it.”
“I got it, just email me the details.”
“I already did. You have to blend in though, so you’re going to have to bring a date. Not one of the lil hoodrats though. You have to bring someone classy.”
I laughed. “Nigga, not too much on me. I fuck with a lot of classy bitches.”
“Oh, okay. I must not have met them yet.”
“Oh, you got hella jokes today, huh?”
“I’m just saying. But on some real shit, I think you should take Saniyah. I think she will play the part well, and it will be a chance for the two of you to get to know each other.”
My brow raised at his suggestion. Saniyah was the last person that I would think to take on a job. She was a secretary and wasn’t even into security. But for some reason, Kadeem wanted me to take her, and I didn’t understand why.
“I don’t feel like that would be the best idea,” I responded.
“I do. She already works for the company, and we know she carries herself well. For what you need on the job, she’s perfect. Just ask her tomorrow and let her know it will be overtime. If she says she can’t, then just find someone else.”
“Alright, I don’t know why you want me to, but I’ll ask her.”
I ended the call and continued to eat my pasta.
Once I was done with dinner, I decided to check my email and read the details of this job.
It was a private dinner party with our team working as waiters for added security.
There was a mandatory plus one, which was why I needed a date.
The fact that Kadeem thought that date should be Saniyah was something I still didn’t understand.
That nigga had something up his sleeve. I just wasn’t sure what it was yet.
Walking into my bathroom, I turned on the shower and allowed the steam to fill the room. I stepped in, letting the hot water run down my body. Once I was done, I put on a white tee and a pair of basketball shorts before making my way into my living room and watching TV for the rest of the night.
The next morning, I walked into the office feeling amazing.
The full night of sleep I’d gotten the night before had done my body good.
I sat at my desk thinking about how I was going to ask Saniyah to accompany me on a job.
I had no clue why I was so nervous to ask her.
It wasn’t like it was even a fucking date, yet here I was, heart pounding and hands sweating.
I took a deep breath and pressed the button on my phone, placing a call to her desk.
“Good morning, Crue. How can I help you this morning?” she greeted cheerfully.
“Could you step into my office for a moment?”
“Sure, I’ll be right in.”
A few moments later, there was a soft knock at my door before it opened, and Saniyah stepped in.
She was dressed in a pair of white slacks and a pink and white striped button up with the top two buttons undone.
I could smell her perfume the moment she stepped into my office.
If there was one thing I liked, it was a woman that smelled good.
Her hair was parted down the middle and fell bone straight down her back.
All in all, she looked amazing, and that made me even more nervous than I already was.
“Saniyah, have a seat. I want to talk to you about something real quick,” I spoke, gesturing to one of the chairs.
She smiled and took a seat, looking up at me as she waited on me to speak. I cleared my throat then took a seat in my chair.
“Are you busy Friday night?”
“No, I don’t have anything planned as of now. Do you need me to stay late and do some extra work?”
“Something like that. One of our clients is having a private dinner party, and I need to be there disguised as a guest. A plus one is mandatory, and I need someone with me that knows why I’m there and can fit in with the rest of the guests.
Kadeem suggested that I take you. And of course you will be paid overtime for the night. ”
She looked at me for a moment, and I could tell she was thinking. My heart pounded even harder as I waited for her answer. I didn’t know what the fuck was wrong with me, and I tried not to show my nervousness. Finally, she spoke.
“Yeah, that will be fine. I could use the overtime. Just email me the address and the time, and I will be there.”
“This has to look like a date. Under no circumstances can it look like I’m there to work. So, I’ll be coming to pick you up Friday around seven-thirty. You can email me your address.”
She nodded, letting me know that she would send it when she got back to her desk, and stood to her feet.
When she walked out, I let out a breath that I hadn’t even realized I was holding.
Picking up my phone, I sent a text to Kadeem, letting him know that Saniyah would be going to the dinner party and that I wanted a separate bonus check cut for her as payment instead of just overtime pay.
He agreed with no hesitation, and I continued on with my workday.
I had just gotten home when April called me, asking if I was busy tonight.
I had known April was a freak, but I wasn’t sure how freaky until the first time I brought Kadeem in.
After that, she couldn’t stop talking about it, letting me know it had been the best sexual experience of her life.
I knew what she was on the moment she called me.
I instantly shot a text to Kadeem, wanting to know if he was on that same type of time.
I knew that April was telling the truth about it being the best sexual experience of her life because Kadeem had given me some of the best experiences as well.
Man, if the walls we walked in could talk, they would tell on us.
I drifted off, thinking about one of those encounters as my dick hardened.
I’d walked into my apartment after my shift at Burger King.
It was a week before my twenty-second birthday, and I had been working double shifts for the past month trying to prepare.
Kadeem had a business idea that he would bet his life on, telling me it would make us millions.
However, he needed me to put ten thousand dollars down.
It was times like this that I wished I had the money to give him without going completely broke.
I knew if I had a real career then I wouldn’t have to work as hard as I did.
I had just gotten out the shower when Kadeem called, asking me if I was busy.
I told him that I’d just gotten off work and planned to relax for the rest of the night.
Apparently, that wasn’t going to work for him because he told me to get dressed because he was coming to pick me up in an hour.
I tried to protest, telling him I was tired, but he wasn’t trying to hear that shit.
So, needless to say, I got dressed and waited for him to pull up.
He didn’t even come in when he got outside. Instead, he blew the horn twice, and I walked out.
“Where we going?” I asked the moment I got into the car.
