Epilogue

Three weeks later…

“Don’t forget we’re meeting at the library Saturday for a study session,” Marissa, one of my classmates, told me as we walked out of the building together.

I nodded. “I’ll be there. See you.” I waved and started down the stone walkway.

It took some time, but I was able to get everything straightened at the college and had enrolled in the second set of summer classes. I was only taking three, one being online, but I was happy to be back.

The past three weeks had been an adjustment. I gave up my house and Kairus had all my things moved into his house, without my knowledge I might add. It didn’t bother me because I had planned on doing it anyway after deciding to put it on the market, he just sped up the process.

My eyes fell on the faint new scar on my right wrist. Kairus had the tracker removed from my wrist after some heavy convincing. I knew he didn’t like the fact that he couldn’t keep track of me every second of the day, but to ease his mind and paranoia I shared my location on my phone with him. It wasn’t like I had anything to hide or was ever being sneaky.

My phone vibrated in my back pocket. Since I was done with my class for the day, I was headed home. I had some homework to complete before meeting Jatavia later. She didn’t understand why I chose to go back to Kairus after he let me go, but that was okay because she supported me regardless. She had even came over to the house once all my stuff was moved in to help me unpack. Kairus hovered around for a while but didn’t bother us. It would take some time but I hoped the two learned to co-exist peacefully since both were a part of my life.

A smile split my face seeing my mom’s name flash on my screen.

“Hey, Mommy,” I answered, walking through the courtyard.

“Hi, my sweet girl.” Her smile matched mine. “Are you leaving class?”

“I am.” We fell into conversation.

Things with my parents were rocky. While my mom didn’t understand why I wanted to be with Kairus, she chose to ignore it rather than gripe about it. She was uneasy about our relationship, but she wanted me to be happy. My dad, on the other hand, flat out forbade it. Our relationship was pretty much nonexistent right now and I couldn’t lie and say it wasn’t hurtful, but I got it. Part of the reason I think he felt like he did was because he felt guilty about being the cause of this in the first place.

“I plan on going to clear out the garden Sunday. I want you to come help.” Mom wasn’t a hundred percent back, but she was regaining her strength each day. Her body was still recovering from the hysterectomy but she was able to be on her feet more now.

“I don’t know, Mommy.” I approached my car and leaned against it.

Her eyes were sad as a small, toothless smile formed on her face. “Don’t worry about your dad. Come over.”

I knew my parents’ relationship had been rocky since she found out everything that happened these past few months. I hated that I was also the cause of their arguing due to me choosing to stay with Kairus, but I believed they could get through it. My parents loved each other and I knew they would overcome this.

I bounced the idea around in my head. “Okay,” I finally whispered.

“And give it some time with your dad. He’s just stubborn, he’ll come around. Eventually I want that boyfriend of yours over so we can get to know him better.”

I nibbled on my bottom lip and nodded. “Maybe.” While my mom might eventually accept Kairus, I doubted my dad ever would.

We talked for a little longer before hanging up. I tossed my book bag in the back seat and climbed in the driver’s seat.

Walking into the house, I went to the living room and laid my book bag near the couch. My eyes circled the room and I smiled slightly, seeing some of the decorations from my house around the room. Kairus didn’t care that I started to decorate the house and make it feel more homely. He gave me free rein to make the place feel like mine.

Leaving the living room I went down the hall to the kitchen. “Hi, Lillian,” I said, going to the fridge for a bottled water. She was still short with me but wasn’t as cold anymore.

“Azeira,” she replied, putting away groceries.

“Do you need help?” I asked, closing the fridge and facing her.

She shook her head. “No. I want you out of my kitchen.” She shooed me away. I rolled my eyes.

“Fine.” I turned to leave.

I went back to the living room for my bag then headed to the library. Since being back in school I enjoyed working in the library on schoolwork. Kairus had told me he would be in the office most of the day working with clients so I would have some peace to myself for a bit.

The air in the house had been lighter since I came back. Kairus still walked around looming and broody, but I tried to add a little lighter to the house. When I wasn’t at school, I still maintained the cleaning and upkeep. When Kairus suggested hiring someone, I shut him down. It made me happy to maintain the house. Plus I didn’t want anyone else to crowd our space. I enjoyed it being just us most of the time. We were wrapped in a web of each other with no plans of unraveling.

Once in the library, I inhaled the smell of books. I eyed the fresh ones I added to the shelf recently. After seeing how much I truly enjoyed the room, Kairus took me to a bookstore not too far from the house and told me to get as many as I desired. It was a surprise to me and he didn’t complain that I spent over an hour stalking the shelves. He no longer had ill feelings toward the room that once reminded him of his mother. Kairus still fought demons from his past but he showed me every day just how much he cared about me regardless of all that.

I spent the next couple of hours doing homework then picking up the book I had been reading to finish a couple more chapters. Eventually I went to my room to shower. I was due to meet Jatavia soon and needed to get ready.

Stepping out the bathroom, I went to pick my phone up and paused, noticing a vase with a rose inside. It was one of the Wildfire ones. When I came back I was sad seeing my rose had wilted and died. A smile formed on my face as I picked the vase up and brought the rose to my nose, inhaling it. The rose was a bit larger than the one I previously held in my old bedroom and was healthy looking.

My eyes fell on the door when it was pushed open. Kairus stepped inside in just his dress shirt and slacks. His muscles rippled under the white shirt, making my pulse quicken. He closed the door, standing there deviously handsome, making my center throb. His large hands bulged with multiple veins. His aura beamed, big and powerful.

I tucked my bottom lip between my teeth as I eyed him. Kairus was ruggedly handsome. His hooded orbs were dark and his profile was strong and rigid. Everything about Kairus turned me on.

“You like my gift?” he asked, moving closer to me.

I inhaled a deep breath and nodded. Like a magnet, I met him halfway. His arm lifted and his hand clamped over my chin. He tilted my head back and stared down at me.

“I hate that you leave for hours of the day,” he murmured, making my smile grow.

“But you love that I come home to you right?” I batted my lashes.

His hand moved down to the side of my neck and brushed across the top of my chest. My body trembled and my stomach fluttered. Moving to my left arm, he stroked it lightly, making a trail down to my hand. When he picked it up, he studied my hand before bringing it to his mouth. His eyes darkened with ownership as he eyed his name. I gasped when stuck his tongue out and swirled it around my digit. I couldn’t breathe. My pulse quickened, swelling in my throat.

I loved how possessive seeing both of his names on me made Kairus. It was like a hungry beast took over him and he became desperate to have me, to own me . His eyes never left mine as he moved my hand down and grabbed me by the neck, yanking me into him. He kissed me, taking my mouth as his own.

I arched my chest into him. His other hand grabbed my breast, he caressed it roughly. Ecstasy spiraled inside me. My mouth burned with fire. I whimpered against his lips when he pinched my nipple and twisted. Pain shot through me and my heart fluttered wildly under my breasts.

“I want you,” he growled, taking my mouth once more. Kairus’s kisses were always so intoxicating. I couldn’t get enough of him. I was sure he wasn’t normally a kisser but he always had his lips on me, taking parts of me whether I wanted him to or not.

Kairus stepped into me, forcing me back until the back of my knees hit the bed. He pulled back and pushed me. My body bounced slightly when my back hit the bed. I stared up at my man in awe. A delightful shiver ran through me seeing the hunger and desire in his orbs.

His hand disappeared for a second and when it reappeared I noticed the knife. My breathing picked up, knowing what was to come. He crowded my body with his. His mouth went to my breast. His rough tongue flickered over my nipple before his teeth clamped down on it. Between my legs was soaked and begging for relief.

“I want you to bleed for me,” he breathed huskily.

I moaned and closed my eyes when his mouth covered my breast and he sucked it roughly. He brushed a hand over my lower stomach where his name rested. His touch was firm and electrifying.

I couldn’t breathe as he attacked my breasts, bouncing his mouth between the two, sucking and biting them, teasing my sensitive nipples.

A hiss fell from my mouth when I felt the blade go down the valley of my breasts. I opened my eyes and looked down. Kairus’s eyes locked on the wound he created. They darkened and beamed with lust. He stuck his tongue out and dragged it up, collecting the blood. A shiver ran through me as a twisted feeling traveled through my stomach. It turned me on more seeing him taste my blood. Knowing I was inside his mouth in that way sent pleasure exploding through me. My sight was hazy and darkened with need.

“Kairus. I need you,” I begged, rolling my hips into his leg. The friction of the pants felt good against my clit.

“You want me to fuck you, Beauty? Fill that needy pussy up?”

I moaned and moved my hips faster.

“Yes!” I panted. He grabbed my breast in a painful grip. I cried out. His touch sent tingles through me. “Please, take me Beast.” Lifting his head, his orbs flashed.

“As you wish.” He moved quickly, undoing his pants, not even bothering to remove them fully as he pushed into me. It was always like this with him. Kairus always fucked me with overflowing passion. His movements felt like he was desperate to fill a hunger inside of him, like he could never get enough of me. It fired my veins. It made me feel alive and wanted.

Heat rippled under my skin. A moan of ecstasy slipped through my lips. Passion inched through my veins.

“Oh god!” I cried when he pushed into me deeply. My back arched and my breasts pushed into him. The blood from the cut smeared on his shirt, but he didn’t seem to care.

“That’s right, bleed for me. This pussy is so needy,” he groaned.

Flames of passion burned within both of us. Sweat beaded on my forehead. Our sex was always intense.

“Who do you belong to?” he asked, licking between my breasts again. He sucked on my wound. I cried out and my body shook.

“You,” I whimpered.

Turning slightly, he bit into my breast. Blood swirled in my head. Overwhelming desire filled me.

“That’s right. Every inch of you is mine. I love knowing my name is branded on you. That my marks are on your skin.” My eyes rolled to the back of my head as he lifted. I could feel the imprint of his teeth on the side of my breast. It was sick how I loved knowing he marked me up.

Kairus continued to fuck me, speaking sweet dirty words. When he finally released inside of me, I felt an overwhelming orgasm flow through my body.

My eyes fluttered open and I stared into his dark brown eyes. With shaky hands, I grabbed his face and brought it down to mine. “I love you, Kairus. You are my beast, but also my sweetest desire,” I whispered before kissing him.

I fell into a whirl of sensation. Over the weeks of being back I learned Kairus wasn’t the only one obsessed. I too had grown the same hunger for him. The strong longing to always be near him.

Pulling back, he studied my face and my heart swelled.

“My sweet obsession and beautiful need. You are mine, Azeira. The only one who saw beyond the monster on the surface. The only one I crave daily.” He moved in and out of me slowly although he just released. Neither of us were ready to give up this moment. I thought I was done, but here I was cumming again.

“Forever,” I whispered, brushing his scarred cheek with my thumb. His eyes drooped and his breath brushed over my wrist.

It was hard to believe that months ago I was kidnapped and held against my will. People might think I was crazy and maybe they were right. Kairus was someone I should be running far away from. I typically didn’t believe in fate, but it was clear to me that it took a true beauty to love the beast within. He was where I was meant to be and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

The end!
