16. Reaper
Chapter Sixteen
REAPER
I sat in the warehouse antsy, today along with the whole week wasn’t good.
First, I had another run in with Ream. He let me be after that, but I had to hear him and two other bitches fucking into the wee morning.
Second, I was woken up early for the meeting with Hector.
Only to learn that the shipment was hit bad, and a couple of the men Ream had over the shipment was killed.
After that shit had gone downhill. I had my father blowing me up and threatening to pop up on me and drag me home.
I knew his threats weren’t just threats, fucking with him he would make it a promise.
Kayori had even started sending concerning text about Kachella and Matthew asking me did I know where they had been.
All this shit with the blue diamond dynasty was about to be a wrap for me.
I wasn’t into distributing drugs, I loved being an assassin that’s what the fuck I signed up for.
Unfortunately, Ream didn’t see it like that, he demanded everybody that knew about the big exchange in Dominican Republic be in attendance.
Hector didn’t seem to be bothered after Ream wrote him a check and told him the next shipment was on him to make things right.
I also took on a big assignment from Hector.
He needed a hit out on his own brother, and he needed it done within a couple of weeks.
The payout was good, so I accepted the job with no problem.
It was hard to read Ream and how he felt about the big hit done on his operation.
He kept calm the whole time and barely asked any questions.
He didn’t lose his cool, but I could tell something was on his mind.
The excessive flirting had come to a stop, we hardly said little to nothing to each other.
I looked around the table, my eyes landed on Solace and Kat.
When I made eye contact with Kat, she hurriedly dropped her eyes and looked elsewhere.
Solace kept a mean mug on his face as he looked around taking his focus off me.
It looked to be about thirty people are more inside the warehouse.
There wasn’t enough room at the big folding table so the majority of everyone stood up.
My anxiety was high, and I could feel myself slowly zoning out.
I missed my doctor’s appointment for the second time, and I desperately needed to make reschedule my appointment to get a higher dosage.
I was all out of my emergency stash, the only medication I had left was my anxiety pills.
Chatter seized and in walked Ream with Solo and the freckled pretty girl that was crying when I saw her at Ream’s beach house.
I got a text from Hakeem saying he needed to speak with me asap.
Ignoring his text, I placed the phone in my back pocket and tried to focus.
I could slowly feel my bones starting to lock up in place.
I dug my right foot into my left foot to fight the oncoming episode and placed my eyes on Ream.
He looked so good and well-groomed his smooth skin tone had a light shine to it.
His hair was freshly cut with his waves dipping deep.
His hazel brown eyes scanned the room as he unbuttoned his suit jacket and handed it over to the freckle face chick.
“Everybody talks, everybody listens… but the truth always ends up missing.” He kept his voice in the same monotone. He was cool, calm, and collect as he made sure to look everybody in the eyes. His eyes lingered on me for a while and then he placed his gaze on someone else.
“I don’t know who’s who anymore. The only person, I can truly say I ain’t second-guessing is this nigga, Solo.
” Him and Solace had a silent stare-off, and the energy shifted in the room.
I could feel the fear leaking from everyone’s pores.
Solo stood tall with an AK-47. He tittered and a teasingly way and continued to mean mug everyone.
Ream took a seat at the head of the table as Solo sat his gun in front of Ream and started to talk.
“Someone from our immediate crew is a snake, and when I find out who been running their mouth to the enemy…you and your whole bloodline will be wiped clean off the face of this earth.” Solo words held disgust as he looked everybody in the eyes.
“I will be stepping up and giving orders for a while until Ream sort out some other personal issues. So, I will make this shit really fucking clear, cause if anybody feels the need to test me or jump out of line…ask yourself if it’s worth your life or your family’s life.
We all are aware that Debo is the nigga that hit our big shipment.
He will be handled accordingly, but what I want to know is which one of y’all has been in contact telling our moves.
” Solo voice bounced off the walls and was starting to ring loud in my ears.
“You can excuse everyone but the people sitting at this table. It’s in my immediate crew Solo, I can feel it.
Something doesn’t feel right at this table.
” Ream smoothly stated as the freckled chick massaged his shoulders.
I shouldn’t have been sitting here feeling some type of way, but I did.
Solo excused all the extra men that attended the meeting.
Ream stared at me intensely causing me to shift in my seat.
“Where is Hakeem? Reaper.” His brows went up and I shifted in my seat and gave him a funky look.
“Why the fuck would I know where he is at?” I could feel my forehead crease and became annoyed with the attention that was placed upon me all of a sudden.
“Watch how you speak to me. I wouldn’t want to have The Ruler teach you a fuckin’ lesson you got me?
” Little did he know a full episode was about to surface within me, I could feel it coming because my legs were frozen into place in my palms had grown sweaty.
I started to lose the urge to talk, I could feel my jaws lock up.
“I wonder where the little nigga at myself, sounds fishy as fuck if you ask me.” I wanted to say something back to Solace but couldn’t.
I could feel my insides freezing up, this was about to get embarrassing as hell.
It started to feel like different voices were screaming loud in my head causing an instant headache. My heart started to beat erratically.
“Cat got her fucking tongue, I ain’t that smart but not dumb either. She looks guilty as fuck.” Solace spat, when I got the chance, I was going to kill him slowly.
“Before I ever think it’s my own flesh in blood betraying me Solace, I will look at you first. You acting like you want the attention off of you?
I’m asking her where Hakeem is at because he has never missed a meeting and she is close to the lil nigga.
” Ream’s voice was so low, I could barely hear him, but I felt his eyes on me.
Nothing felt real anymore, my vision was frozen and so was my body and mind the last thing I heard was Ream telling everyone to get the fuck out.
I of course could not move because my catatonic episode had taken over me.
