Chapter Thirty-Seven

RELLIANAH

“I want a full background check on that freckle face bitch!” I slammed my hand down on the island we were sitting at while looking up at Cease.

“Here you go with this shit!” He took a bite out of his fried chicken sandwich that I made us and chewed as crumbs fell from his damn mouth, pissing me off further.

“I mean why can’t you just let Christian live his life and learn shit?

Pops let us learn hard lessons all the time when we were running shit.

” His eyes and mine had lowered. I missed my dad so fucking much my heart aches and cracked each time I pictured his face.

Everyday memories of him swarmed my mind.

I was always daddy’s girl; he taught and groomed me so well.

“I can’t let my son fall victim to a pretty face and wet pussy.

” I scoffed, running my coffin-shaped nails through my head.

I worried about Christian every day. Paranoid of something bad happening to him.

My daughter, Christina was on the right path.

She was the total opposite of her father and I.

Christian had me and Cream running throughout his body.

He was bullheaded and a lot of times I felt like it fucked up his sight.

“What about him and this new broad you said he been chilling with lately?” Cease took another big bite of his sandwich. He got on my nerves, but I loved him and Khaos like they were my real blood brothers. Cease and I was closer because he put up with all my shit more than Khaos.

“Reaper checks out fine, for now.” I didn’t have a problem with Reaper, she actually reminded me of my younger self.

When I looked into her eyes, they held no fear.

I liked that, just didn’t know if I wanted my son to fall for her just yet.

I stood up and went to the secret cabinet that I kept in the kitchen.

My husband never went in it and if he did it wouldn’t be much of a problem.

I would probably have to sleep alone for some nights as punishment because of my snooping in Christian’s business but I felt it was worth it.

“What you got going on Fatty?” Joel walked in as I pulled the envelope out. I gave him a brief hug and told Cease to open it up as I passed it to him. Joel shook his head and threw a towel on his shoulder.

“Whatever yo fat ass got going on, I don’t want to know. I just came to use the gym.” He scoffed and looked at me in disbelief.

“Well, take yo pretty boy ass with a fucked-up line up on to the back and work out. Caved in bird chest ass nigga, always got some fuck shit to say. You should’ve kept your hair!

” I yelled to his back as he walked away.

My brother was a lawyer and married like me.

He always had the smartest shit to say but couldn’t stay out of my house.

We were close but got on each other’s last nerves.

I placed my focus back on Cease, watching his eyebrows crease and I continued to pump the situation up.

I needed Cease’s help, because if I did everything on my own my husband would for sure find out.

“See what I’m saying? Bitch said someone broke in her place, so she filed a police report. I went to the management, and they said, there was never a break in! So that freckle face hoe, hiding something and lying! I can’t wait to kill her!” Cease looked hard at the pictures.

“Damn this bitch got a banging ass body though.” He sat the pictures down and rubbed his kinky chin hairs.

“I see, man… this bitch a pig. What type of job you said she had?” He asked as he reached over to my plate next to him that I had abandoned. Cease was greedy as hell it didn’t make any sense.

“A nurse and Christian had the bitch running numbers!” I yelled.

“Nephew got to make better decisions.” He took a bite out of my sandwich and looked at it weirdly.

“Damn your nasty ass love fucking pickles.” Opening the sandwich, he took the pickles out and put it back together while licking his fat fingers.

“I want the run down, that bitch trying to take my son down. I want everything attached to her and I also want you to put somebody onto that chief. Bitches like her, use what’s between their thighs to get up high,” I sneered.

“I want so much shit, that when shit hit the fan, I’m able to turn the heat up on everybody. ”

“Where is Ream now?”

“In Italy, I’m able to move how I need to before he returns.”

Cease nodded his head and smiled; his smile made me smile even harder. He was always down to help me, even if it went against what I was supposed to be doing.

“After this shit, you fall back. We got big moves coming up, I don’t need that nigga Cream and Khaos thinking we slacking on our pimping when it comes to handling our shit.

” He looked up at me as I rolled my eyes hard.

All four of us were currently looking into opening a big executive company focusing on digital things, similar to Meta world.

My husband and I was finally coming together again and running something big and successful adding our family friends to the project.

Cream’s love was for young men and women trying to make something of themselves.

When we were younger and stepping down from the dynasty my husband opened lots of Elementary and Junior high schools and funded them with top-of-the-line everything.

He had resource centers and counseling buildings helping lost young kids like he was.

I truly admired him and everything it was he had accomplished.

I struggled with staying on a narrow path because I was so used to busting my gun and living the wrong way.

I was immune to being in power, it took a lot for me to just live the regular legal life I was living today.

The generations had changed, and I hated how young folks looked at shit.

Their mind frames weren’t how the people were in my day and it was sad.

Everything was about capturing the moment via social media and impressing and caring about what other people thought and said.

I didn’t like it one bit, I stuck to my own ways of doing things.

I wasn’t one of those older women on social media still trying to flaunt my shit and get attention for doing so.

I was beautiful and had a handsome husband, wealthy as fuck, and didn’t need social media for any validation.

“I tell you what,” he paused and drank his soda, burping loud making me cringe and step away from his nasty ass.

I couldn’t stand to smell a person’s farts or burps it disgusted me.

“When I come back over here later to hang, you bet not give me no shit on eating dinner with you and hubby tonight. I want fried chicken, Mac and cheese, greens and candied yams, nigga.” He stood and wiped his face and looked at me waiting for my response.

“Whatever nigga just get started now. Christian should be back in town in a few days.” We shook hands and parted ways.

I should’ve let things play out, but I couldn’t just sit back and watch my son go down.

Maybe if I let him get a little taste of how things could be without my help, he would sit his ass down somewhere and listen to me.
