Chapter 23 #3
Jolt claps his hands with a great big smile. “It seemed to work for Hanger.” He motions to the sectional and side chairs.
Everyone obediently shuffles over and takes a seat. Jolt beams even more. “Perhaps it should be my thing now!”
Frankie’s hand wraps around my wrist, pulling me down directly at his side, practically putting me on top of him.
I hear some light grumbling from my brother and realize quickly it has nothing to do with me as Wally has pulled Meads into him on the end of the couch.
Ricky has to take the side chair closest to that end.
Jolt looks directly at Frankie, he seems expectant.
I glance at Frankie and he rolls his eyes, pulling me over into the space as he stands.
I look around a little confused before remembering this is about the plan.
My brows narrow as I frown. I do not like that I am learning this shit at the same time as everyone else. Frankie shakes his head at me and that makes me frown more. He gives a huff with an eye roll, but his heart isn’t in it, so I know it is more him trying to say, ‘Wife, this is the shit we do.’
I motion for him to go on because I am eager to hear how he wants to make Bobby pay. If he doesn’t have me ending it, we are going to have some fucking issues.
“I am sure Virus filled you all in.” My man starts, his eyes moving around, mine follow suit. Everyone gives nods of their heads. “Good. Vanilla has his people watching Bobby. It has been a week since the fire, so I think it is best if we give it a couple more weeks before we go collect him.”
His eyes meet mine, and I know he is being vague about the specific date because he wants me to weigh in. His look also suggests he’s asked me to keep quiet for now. I give a slight shrug of my shoulders, and I watch as a little smile twitches at his lips.
He keeps going. “I know Hanger, Mint… and myself will want to have our thoughts out on this asshole, but I want to make sure everyone is clear on this fact: Harlow makes all decisions regarding life and death and how long those things will be once he is in our custody. Do we all understand and agree?”
My heart hammers in my chest. That blow job was not nearly enough to show him how much I love and appreciate him.
The rest of their conversation becomes more of a fuzzy buzz at the back of my mind.
My thoughts and focus are on the man that has bound himself to me.
The man I will fight myself tooth and nail to keep hold of.
There will be no outs. I love this man too much.
This man loves and respects me too much.
As we are saying our goodbyes and waving our friends that feel more like family off, I turn my head looking up at my husband, his face pushes up into a smile as he calls out one last “remember the fucking rules assholes,” and it hits me. I deserve this.
Every muscle in my body feels as if it releases the little bit of tension they have always been holding.
When my neck releases, my head sags on my shoulders just a touch and it feels so damn good.
Blinking over and over as I adjust to this new feeling, a hand cups along the side of my face.
I let my eyes center on Frankie. His handsome face has that soft boyish grin without the devil’s touch to it.
My lips part as I drag in a slow breath absorbing his beauty.
“You aren’t ever going to run, are you?” his words are soft, meeting the feel of the moment for me.
“No. Never.” I am uncertain if the words actually came out of my mouth, but his lips twitching up into an even warmer smile suggests I did.
Frankie’s arms come down, sweeping under my ass, lifting me up.
Wrapping my arms around his shoulders and clutching my legs around him, my head dips into his shoulder.
He moves us around the house, shutting things down since our friends spent time cleaning up with us before they left.
Moving down the hall, my shirt makes its way off my body, along with Frankie’s.
The sound of the shower turning on hits my ears just before my skirt and panties are pushed down my thighs. He settles me on the counter as he removes my frilly socks followed by my bra. Frankie quickly relieves himself of his own clothes.
“Dry hair?” he softly questions.
I nod.
He wraps my hair up with a claw clip on top of my head then pulls my favorite shower cap on to cover all my hair.
He even carefully tucks the loose baby strands around my neck up.
His lips press to the tip of my nose before I am back up in his arms. My hands cling to his shoulders, my eyes stay on his face as he gently sets me on my feet, the water spraying down upon us.
My husband sets to washing me, rinsing each section carefully as he goes.
His hands moving over my marred flesh feels reverent.
Sinking to his knees, his hands move so slowly over my skin, followed by his mouth brushing along.
Cupping the side of his head, I lightly draw my nails down until my hand settles against the curve of his jaw.
“You mean everything to me,” I whisper.
