Chapter 2

Chapter Two

Daniil

Oh, shit.

Freezing in the half-open door, I stared through the usually opaque glass of walls of my office, and at first I wasn’t sure what I was seeing.

The new girl, Lily, was sitting on my chair, leaning back, eyes closed.

What the hell? Had she decided to take a nap in my chair after what we had just discussed? It was one thing to send awkward emails to her boyfriend on company time and quite another to—

A soft moan fell from her lips, the kind that made me snap my head back up. I took her all in, and not just her face. She wasn’t asleep at all. Her legs were thrown over the arms of my chair, and her breasts had been pulled up over some siren red underwear, and she was—

My cock, which had been flaccid against my zipper, grew instantly hard, throbbing and almost painful.

Lily wasn’t sleeping at all. Now that I could see her more clearly, it was obvious what she was doing. Hard little nipples drew my eyes like a beacon, perfect little cherry drops that begged to be sucked on. I bit back a groan.

She moaned again, louder this time, and completely at ease because she thought she was alone. Leaning against the door frame, I folded my arms about my chest and watched as her hips lifted.

The only thing that spoiled my view of the little show she was putting on was her own hand as she stroked her fingers through her folds. My eyes narrowed, and my breathing grew raspy.

She was sitting there, on complete display to anyone who walked in, and sinking her fingers between her pink, glistening folds like she was putting on a show just for me.

Or like she was some kind of cam girl. The latter was more likely, seeing that she had her phone in her hand.

Whoever she was filming this little show for was a lucky man, or a subscriber, or something.

The boyfriend…she was doing this, going to all of this trouble for the boyfriend I had seen her emailing earlier. Rage and jealousy were ugly traits, and I usually didn’t give in to either. But I did now, and I couldn’t understand why except—.

My lips thinned. She was using my office, my chair, to tape herself playing with herself for her boyfriend even after I expressly forbade her from sending personal emails, and this was about as personal as it could get.

The tiniest of whimpers made heads snap up. She was writhing now, her body doing its own thing as it raced for release. She was slightly sun-kissed, like she spent her summer at the beach or lake, and she was tight from exercise.

“Daniil,” she moaned, her fingers plunging in and out of her pussy with ferocity that made my own dick ache. Holy fuck, she was moaning my name.

If this wasn’t the hottest thing I had ever seen, I didn’t know what was.

She might be taping this for someone else, but it was me who was getting the front row seat.

In my pocket, lodged up against my throbbing cock, my cell phone began to vibrate.

Not loudly, Lily wouldn’t be able to hear it over the ragged sound of her breathing, but it broke the spell.

Backtracking quickly, I closed and locked the outer office door before pulling the phone from my pocket.

“Anya?” I spoke quickly and quietly.

“Where are you, Daniil? I’ve been waiting for ten minutes and—”

Stepping into the elevator, I sighed. She was lucky she wasn’t waiting longer than ten minutes. If she hadn’t called, I would have been much longer because that little show my personal assistant had been putting on needed a helping hand, tongue, and—

“Are you listening to me, Daniil?”

Not even a little, I admitted to myself as the elevator went down, but I didn’t say that. “Getting a cab, Anya. I’ll be there in twenty, something just came up in the office.”

Namely, my cock, thanks to that little show. A show that wasn’t even for my benefit, but it wouldn’t be seen by anyone else either, least of all the moron she called boyfriend. He would never get that email.

I would make sure of it.

That particular email—subject matter, happy Valentine’s Day—would never get to the asshole she called her boyfriend.

“What is up with you, Daniil?” the dark-haired beauty moaned from across the candlelit table. “I’m sure you haven’t heard one word I’ve said this last hour.”

Physically shaking the shelf, I speared her to her chair. And like always, she met my unblinking eyes. “I’ve heard everything you have said, Anya,” I said softly. “I just don’t find any of it that interesting.”

Her nose wrinkled up. “You could at least pretend to be interested in me, Daniil. It’s my birthday, after all.” She reached for her wine glass and paused. “Have you met someone?”

“No.” The words snapped out of my mouth with more force than I meant, and I watched as she reeled back in surprise.

“It’s just an office thing.” I amended quickly, catching her startled look.

And, of course, it was an office thing, a beautiful naked office thing in bright red underwear who pleasured herself in my chair like she belonged there.

I still wasn’t sure what I was going to do about Lily Ridgeway. That kind of indiscretion should be rewarded with a sacking, but I didn’t want to fire Miss Ridgeway. The thing I wanted to do to her was—

“No one would blame you for moving on after Claudia, Daniil. I wouldn’t. You deserve to be happy and find someone.”

“There is no one. Drop it, Anya. Like I said, it’s just a work problem.”

“Fine.” She pouted for a second, her face looking younger than it was. It kind of reminded me of how Claudia had looked when I had first met her. “I just wanted you to know that you could, you know,” her eyes raked over me, “date a little.”

“I do date, and I don’t think it’s any of your business. Aren’t we meant to be here to celebrate your birthday? Twenty-one,” I tipped my glass at her. “Old enough to drink now.”

“And old enough to get married.”

The smile dropped before I schooled my face back into a smile. “So they’re making you go through with it then?”

She nodded. “It’s fine, though, I think. He seems nice enough, but that means—” she looked away quickly.

A sigh left my lips. “Timmy.”

“I’m sorry, Daniil. I really am.”

Shaking my head, I reached across the table and squeezed her fingers. This day was always going to come, and we both knew it. She couldn’t spend her entire life taking care of my responsibilities even if she wanted to.

Women in our world had their own parts to play. She would marry well and have her own family. She couldn’t spend her life looking after mine.

“It’s fine, Anya. I’ll make the arrangements.” I gave her hand another squeeze.

“Excuse me.” To the side of us, someone cleared their throat, and my head snapped around angrily.

This place was meant to be discreet, so why was some waitress hovering over us? Lily’s green eyes met mine, widening in fear at the look I gave her.

“Sorry to interrupt, Mr. Popov,” she said quickly, her cheeks flushed, but not as flushed as they had been earlier.

Not that there was any sign of that wanton little red-haired vixen now.

She was completely poised. Her clothes were straightened and almost conservative.

Her thick winter coat was undone, so I could see the curves of her body.

I didn’t need to use my imagination. I knew what was under those clothes.

I licked my lips and smiled at her before I could help myself. It was hard to imagine what she had underneath them. If I hadn’t seen for myself, I would have never believed it.

“I have your—” Lily trailed off, flashing an uncertain smile in Anya’s direction. “So sorry to interrupt, I didn’t realize this was a date.

Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Anya smirk and flashed her a warning look. “Thats fine.” Tilting my chin up to her, I frowned. “Is everything in the office,” a lick of my lips, “satisfactory?”

Lily’s face didn’t change. Her polite, professional smile remained in place. “Of course, sir.”

She didn’t know I had seen her, I realized. Even now, she didn’t know. She thought her little show was just for her boyfriend’s undeserving eyes.

Little did she know that the email she sent was never delivered. Not to him anyway. It was sitting in my private inbox, just waiting for me to watch more closely.

“Do you need anything else this evening?” she asked sweetly.

“No, that will be all for now.” Turning back to Anya, I dismissed Lily without even a second look. The only reason I knew she had gone was because Anya started giggling.

“What?” I snapped.

“So that’s the problem in the office, hey?” Anya giggled even louder. Drawing my attention to her.

“I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about. Lily is a temp. She is—”

Anya’s face sobered. “Oh, come on, Daniil. I’m young, not stupid.

The way you looked at her.” She fanned herself theatrically.

“It was like you were undressing her with your eyes and imagining her naked. You know I wouldn’t mind if you wanted to go after her.

Today might be my birthday, but it’s also the night of love. “

My frown deepened. I didn’t need to imagine Lily naked because I had seen her spread out only a few hours ago, and it was an image that was ingrained in my mind.

“You’re allowed to be happy, Daniil,” Anya said again, with more wisdom in her voice than anyone her age should have.

But I guessed that’s what happens when you lose someone you love at an early age. Grief makes you grow up quickly.

“She’s pretty and seems sweet.”

My eyebrows shot up. I guessed Lily did seem sweet when you looked at her. But I knew the truth. There was nothing sweet about that fiery-headed fox. All the prim and proper goodness was just an act. I’d had a little glimpse of the woman she was underneath.

“Shes no one.”

Anya rolled her eyes. “Fine, have it your own way. But you can’t stay alone all your life. You need—”

“I said enough, Anya,” I snapped at her. “We are not discussing my personal life. It’s not something you should even know about. You are—”

“Twenty-one and not—”

I threw a hand up to silence her. “Do not finish that sentence. I do not want to know. And drop this sudden fascination with setting me up, as well. There is no one I’m interested in who could ever take Claudia’s place.”

Sadness flickered across her face for a second, but she nodded. “I know, and I promise I won’t bring it up again. I just wanted you to know that—”

My glare caused her lips to smack shut. I loved Anya, but sometimes she just didn’t know when to quit.

“No, let’s try to enjoy the rest of your meal. I do have some business to deal with tonight.”

“You work too hard, Daniil.”

Usually, I would agree with her, but tonight the business I had to take care of was more pleasurable. I wanted to watch Lily’s video closely, wrap my hand around my cock, and cum to the sight of her fingers dipping into herself.

And when I was done, I would decide what I would do to punish Miss Ridgeway for her little indiscretion in my chair.

A smile curved up on my face as I mulled over all the ways I could punish her that would make us both happy. It was a grin that Anya saw instantly. She threw me a new look and sipped another wine.

“But I guess some jobs are more pleasurable than others.”

I couldn’t help it. I grinned. She was damn right about that.
