Chapter 17

SAYLOR

Knowing Levi and his club brothers were out there somewhere still cleaning up the mess Sutton helped make, I hadn’t been able to get much sleep last night.

Earlier this morning, I finally decided to catch up on all the grading I’d fallen behind on during the chaos of the past couple of weeks.

The stack of essays seemed never-ending, but I kept at it for hours, needing something normal to focus on while I waited.

My progress wasn’t quick since my eyes drifted to the door every few minutes. Levi had said he’d be back sometime today, and I hoped it would be soon.

After I managed to get through three more papers, the sound of heavy boots in the hallway made my heart leap. A moment later, the door opened, and I shot out of the chair to run to him.

Levi caught me in his arms, lifting me off the ground. I buried my face in his neck, breathing him in as relief flooded through me.

“You’re back,” I whispered.

“Fucking finally.” He pulled back just enough to look at me, searching my face. “Everything’s handled. The Diesel Serpents won’t be a problem anymore. Sutton’s safe too.”

“For now,” I mumbled before letting out a shaky breath.

“She’s never gonna pull you into her shit again.” His dark eyes gleamed with determination. “She’s on her own if she fucks up like this again.”

He said that now, but if I forgave Sutton and asked him to help her, we both knew he’d do it. Because he loved me. We might not have shared the words yet, but I knew that with every ounce of my being.

Levi pulled back just enough to look at me, his hands still framing my face. His brown eyes were full of emotion as he gave voice to his feelings. “I love you, Saylor. Didn’t want all the shit with Sutton still between us when I said it. But I love you so damn much.”

“I love you too, Levi.” Tears welled in my eyes. “More than I can possibly say.”

He flashed me a soft smile that was just for me, then gave me a quick kiss. “Gotta grab something.”

My brows drew together as he walked into the closet and reached up to the top shelf. He pulled down a leather vest, came back out, and handed it to me.

It had the Redline Kings patch on the back, and just beneath it was another that read “Property of Century.”

I sniffled. “Really?”

“Yes, really.” He shook his head with a deep chuckle. “Will you be my old lady, Saylor? Wear my patch and stand beside me as my woman?”

I stared at the vest through watery eyes, a laugh bubbling up that was half sob as I slipped the vest on with trembling hands. “Yes. Of course, yes.”

Levi’s grin was wider than I’d ever seen it as he ran his hands down my sides, admiring how it looked on me. “You look good in my patch, sweetheart. Real good.”

“Thank you for giving it to me.”

He pulled me close again. “This means you’re mine. Protected. Cherished. Part of the club.

“I know. Rain has been hyping it up for weeks.” I stroked my hands down the leather lapels. “I’m surprised she didn’t start a betting pool for when this would happen.”

“Yeah, I could see her doing something like that.” He shook his head with a chuckle. “And everyone would’ve gone along with it because the brothers already see you as family. Now it’s just official. You’ll never have to face anything alone again.”

I hugged him tight, burying my face in his chest. “The club has already become my family. And you’re my home, Levi.”

We stood there for a moment, just holding each other, the weight of everything we’d been through dropping away now that we were past it and moving onto happier times.

Then Levi reached into the drawer of his bedside table and pulled out a small black box. He dropped to one knee right there in front of me, opening it to reveal a beautiful engagement ring. “Saylor Everett, will you marry me?”

“Yes,” I breathed, tears of joy spilling over. “A thousand times yes.”

He slid the diamond solitaire onto my finger, and then captured my mouth like he’d been starving for me. The kiss quickly turned desperate, full of love and pure need.

Levi backed me toward the bed, stripping the vest off me before laying it aside like it was precious. Then he shrugged off his cut and set it next to my property patch. Seeing them side by side made me sniffle again, but the moment passed when he started tugging my pajama pants down my legs.

The rest of our clothes disappeared in a frantic rush. The second we were skin to skin, he lowered me onto the mattress and covered my body with his, settling between my thighs.

Sliding his hand down my stomach, he sank a finger inside me. “So damn wet.”

“Hearing you love me turns me on,” I teased.

“I love you,” he growled against my mouth as he repositioned to push inside me in one smooth thrust. “My old lady. My fiancée. Mine.”

I moaned and wrapped my legs around his waist as he filled me completely. “Yours, my love.”

He took me hard and deep. His mouth stayed close to my ear, whispering dirty things that made me burn hotter. “Gonna fuck my baby into my old lady. Want to see this belly round and full because I put my kid in you.”

I clung to his shoulders, nails digging in as I met every thrust. “Yes, Levi. Please. I want it.”

He groaned, driving into me harder. “That’s my good girl. Take every drop. Everyone’s gonna know you’re mine when you’re wearing my property patch, my rings on your finger, and carrying my child.”

I cried out, the combination of his love, possessiveness, and dirty promises pushing me closer to the edge.

Levi shifted his angle, hitting that perfect spot with every deep thrust while his hand slipped between us to rub firm circles over my clit. “Come for me, Saylor. Let me feel this pussy milk my cock while I fill you up.”

My orgasm crashed over me hard. I came with a broken cry of his name, my walls clenching tight around him. Levi followed right behind me with a deep, guttural groan, burying himself as far as he could go as he spilled inside me, pulse after pulse of heat.

We stayed locked together, breathing hard, with his weight a comforting blanket over me.

After pulling out, Levi kissed me softly, his hand resting possessively on my stomach like he was already imagining it growing. “Mine. Forever.”

I sighed happily, but a strange wave of queasiness suddenly hit me. My stomach rolled uncomfortably. I pulled back with a small grimace. “I don’t feel so good.”

Before he could respond, I hopped out of bed and rushed to the bathroom. I barely made it to the toilet before I got sick. Levi was right behind me, gathering my hair and holding it back for me.

He rubbed soothing circles on my back, murmuring soft words of comfort until the nausea passed. When I finally sat back, he helped me clean up and pulled me onto his lap on the bathroom floor, holding me close.

“You okay, baby?”

“I think so,” I replied weakly. “I must’ve just been sick from worrying so much and not sleeping or eating right last night and today.”

Levi was quiet for a moment. His hand drifted down to rest on my stomach again, and I felt him glance down. “Could there be another reason?”

I did the mental math and gasped, my eyes widening. “Oh my gosh. My period is a week late. With everything going on, I didn’t even realize.”

Levi kissed me, then stood. “I’ll be right back.”

He returned less than five minutes later with a pregnancy test.

I raised a brow. “Do you bikers just keep these lying around?”

“With how fast so many of the Kings have been falling for their old ladies lately?” He chuckled. “Yeah. We do.”

I laughed softly, took the test, and we waited together in nervous silence. When the result appeared, it was unmistakable.

Positive.

Levi’s entire face lit up with pure joy. He pulled me into his arms, kissing me deeply as his hand spread protectively over my stomach.

“You’re pregnant,” he whispered against my lips, his voice thick with emotion. “Carrying my baby.”

The possessiveness in his tone was matched by the overwhelming love in his eyes. He kissed me again, slower this time, like he was savoring the moment.

Tears of happiness slipped down my cheeks as I held him tight. This was more than I had ever dreamed of.
