17. Sincere ‘Sin’
Sincere ‘Sin’
“Nigga, I spend the whole night at the studio, and I’m tired as fuck. Why we got to do this shit in broad daylight? Let’s wait until tonight,” I ranted to Cruz, who sat in the passenger seat of my Aston Martin.
We were at the address Ronnie gave me. We planned on robbing this muthafucka, but I thought it would at least be dark when we did it.
Cruz and I had done business with this nigga before.
He brought fifteen pistols from us weeks ago, and the shit cost him around fifteen bands, so I know he got some money laying around.
Besides, he had on a white gold necklace I’ve been eyeing for a while, so I’mma try to cop that shit.
“Man, he’s not at home. I’ve been scoping out this spot all night. He left this morning.”
“So, you don’t think somebody’s not gone notice two niggas in all-black walking up to the door?”
“Who?” Cruz questioned, searching around.
“We’re in the middle of nowhere, Sincere. Grow some nuts, nigga!”
“Man, fuck you.” I grabbed the ski mask from the back, handing him one.
“Hold up. You sure you wanna do this?”
“You know me. I’m a felon with nothing to lose, but you can lose everything, nigga,” Cruz boasted.
“I want that chain muthafucka. Let’s do this.”
We put the mask over our heads, then hopped out of the whip, holding a gun at our waist. Ducking low, we ran through the fence to the back. Cruz kicked at the screen with his feet to get inside while I held my gun up, ready to pop whoever stepped through the door.
It took a few tries, but he finally got it off the hinges. He went first, and I followed behind him. I had a bag on my shoulder to put stuff in, so when I saw something that I liked, I sat the bag on the floor to start grabbing.
“Find the necklace, man,” I whispered.
“Alright.” Cruz took off to the other side while I grabbed the PlayStation 5 from off the floor near the TV.
It wasn’t really shit to get downstairs. I was getting ready to go up when I saw Cruz running my way with a scared look in his eyes.
“Somebody’s here, man! I copped the necklace, though.” He put it into my hand.
“We gotta get the fuck out of here!” he barked.
I heard two shots from behind him. Shit got real for me when his body dropped to the floor. Instinct kicked in, so I took off toward the door.
“Shit! Shit!” I chanted, running as fast as I could to my car. I didn’t even check to see if somebody was following behind me. I just got in and sped away.
“FUCK!” I yelled, looking in my rearview. I got to get the fuck away from here, I thought, swerving into an alley to get off the main road. My nigga was gone because I wanted a fucking necklace.
I heard sirens in the distance as I hit it down another empty street. I had no idea where the fuck I was.
It took me a few more turns until I saw a familiar sign.
Breathing a sigh of relief, I’m only a few blocks from one of my cribs.
The one I took Ronnie to when I smashed her.
I used the remote to open my garage to pull my car in.
Everything I got from the living room was in the passenger seat, the necklace burning a damn hole in my pocket.
Leaping out, I let the door back down on my way inside the house.
I took the stuff off the table, turning the bag upside down to empty it.
I didn’t even get a chance to grab anything valuable.
All I had was the game console, a few rings that were on the counter in the kitchen, and a Bluetooth speaker.
Shaking my head, I stripped out of my clothes. I put them into a garbage bag and set the bag in the back of my house. My ass had to remember to burn them later.
I called Ronnie’s phone so that she could come over to take care of me. I’m stressed the fuck out, and I needed pussy. When she didn’t answer, I hit up Donna to slide through. After she said she was on her way, I put the necklace on, leaning my head against the couch. Damn!
A nigga almost got caught slipping tonight. R.I.P. to my nigga Cruz.
