5. Sha’nelle Harper #2

Dinner kept goin’, but we barely touched the dessert he ordered.

Couture stayed close with his knee pressed against mine and his mouth findin’ my neck every few minutes like he couldn’t help himself.

I got warm from the drinks and from him and by the time the server came back with the bill, I was leanin’ into his side with my hand on his chest while he kissed behind my ear.

My body had been so tight for weeks that it almost felt good to let somebody touch me without fightin’ myself every second.

Couture paid the bill without lookin’ at it too long. He signed the receipt, slid his card back into his wallet and looked at me like he was ready to leave before he took it too far.

“You ready, baby?” he asked.

I nodded and pushed my chair back, but he was already standin’ to help me up. He grabbed my hand, and I let him lead me through the restaurant with his fingers locked around mine. He pulled me closer to his side while we walked past the hostess stand and out into the night.

The air outside felt cool against my face after all that warmth inside. Couture kept holdin’ my hand as we crossed the parkin’ lot, and his thumb moved over my ring finger while we walked. I looked at our hands again, then looked up at him. He caught me lookin’ and smiled.

When we got to the car, he opened the passenger door and helped me in.

I sat down and adjusted my dress over my thighs while he leaned in and kissed me again before closin’ the door.

I watched him walk around to the driver’s side, and I hated how fine he looked doin’ somethin’ as regular as crossin’ the front of the car.

He got in, closed the door, and instead of startin’ the car right away, he reached for me.

“Come here,” he said.

I leaned toward him, and he pulled me closer with his hand on the back of my neck.

His mouth was on mine before I could think too much.

He kissed me deep. It was slow at first, then with more hunger when my lips opened for him.

His tongue slid against mine, and his hand moved to my waist while he pulled me over the console as much as the space would let him.

I held on to his shirt, and the smell of his cologne wrapped around me while his beard rubbed against my skin.

The kiss did somethin’ to me. It softened me and hurt me at the same time.

I kissed him back ‘cause I wanted to. I kissed him back ‘cause he was here, warm, real and lookin’ at me like he had already built a place for me in his future.

My fingers curled in his shirt, and when he groaned low into my mouth, my eyes burned behind my lids. I kept ‘em closed ‘cause I ain’t want him to see me like this.

Couture pulled back just enough to look at me. His thumb rubbed along my cheek and his eyes moved over my face like he was tryna memorize me under the dashboard lights.

“I love you,” he said. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Tears sat in my eyes before I could stop ‘em.

I tried to blink ‘em back, but they stayed there, makin’ everything shine too much.

Couture looked at me with that soft smile still on his face, and I nodded ‘cause my throat felt tight. I reached up and touched his beard, runnin’ my thumb along the line of it while I forced myself to stay right here with him.

“I love you too,” I said.

He kissed me again, softer this time, and I let him. I let his mouth cover mine, let his hand stay on my waist and let the ring on my finger press against the side of his face when I touched him.

When he finally sat back and started the car, I looked out the windshield and wiped careful under my eye before a tear could fall and ruin my makeup.

Couture pulled out of the parkin’ lot with one hand on the wheel and the other reachin’ for mine. I slid my fingers between his, and he brought my hand to his mouth, kissin’ right over the ring before restin’ our hands between us.

The street lights passed over the windshield, and I sat here beside him, wearin’ the ring, holdin’ his hand and tryin’ with everything in me to be where my body was.

I ain’t call Renza, and I ain’t text him either.

I just sat in that passenger seat while Couture drove us away from the restaurant, and I kept my hand in his ‘cause for now, this was the life I had said yes to.

“Damn, baby,” Couture moaned, his voice low and rough while his forearms stayed tucked under my thighs and his knees pressed in the bed.

He had me opened up under him with my legs lifted high, fuckin’ me slow. His strokes was deep and smooth, pushin’ into me with just enough weight to make my body rock back into the mattress every time he slid in.

I had the vibrator pressed to my clit, and every time his dick reached that spot inside me, my bottom lip went between my teeth and my toes curled.I pressed the vibrator harder against myself and rolled my hips up to meet him.

Couture looked down at me with his mouth half open, and his eyes low and locked on mine while he watched every lil’ reaction my body gave him.

Sweat had started gatherin’ on his chest, and when I slid my free hand up his stomach to touch him, his muscles jumped under my palm.

He was close enough for me to smell his cologne mixed with the heat comin’ off his body, and the room had got quiet except for him breathin’ hard and the wet sound of him movin’ in and out of me.

“You always so wet,” he moaned, pushin’ deeper until my back lifted a lil’ off the bed. “Fuck, Sha’Nelle.”

I couldn’t even answer him right away. The vibrator was buzzin’ against my clit, his dick was buried deep in me and the way he had my thighs pinned open made everything feel too sensitive.
