Chapter 24 #2
Either way, I never complained because regardless, he always took his time with me. He paid attention. He made sure I felt good, and that meant a lot to me, so I let him do what he did best without sayin’ a word.
Eventually, he pulled his mouth away, kissin’ back down my thighs while my legs trembled on his shoulders. My body was still sensitive, and I watched him as he stood up between my legs, lookin’ down at me like he was takin’ me all in.
I sat up and slid my hands under his shirt, feelin’ all over his abs, lettin’ my fingers press into him while I looked up at his face.
He grabbed my chin and tilted my head up just a lil’. “I’mma miss you while I’m gone,” he said, his voice low.
I held his gaze, still rubbin’ over his stomach, feelin’ the weight of what he said even though I ain’t let it show too much.
I reached down, unbuckled his pants, then slid my hand into his briefs and pulled his dick out.
It was thick and already hard, sittin’ heavy in my hand while I looked up at him.
“I’mma miss you too,” I said, softer this time.
Before he could say somethin’ else, I tightened my grip just a lil’ and took his dick straight into my mouth, not playin’ with him or teasin’ him, but just givin’ it to him how I wanted to.
“Damn…” Couture let out, his hand comin’ up to move my hair out the way so he could really feel me.
I took him deeper, movin’ my head back and forth while I kept his dick slidin’ down my throat. My hand dropped down and I cupped his balls, rollin’ them bitches like dice, keepin’ that same rhythm while I sucked him.
Spit started slidin’ from the corners of my mouth, down his shaft and into my hand while I kept massagin’ him, my mouth stayin’ wet and sloppy on his dick.
“You feel good as fuck, baby,” he moaned, pushin’ himself deeper while I took it.
I kept suckin’, deep throatin’ and gaggin’ just enough to make it sound good, lettin’ him hear every bit of it while I worked him the way I knew how.
My tongue flicked over the tip before I rolled it around his whole dick, keepin’ that same motion while I moved my head.
I could hear his breath start pickin’ up. I could feel his body reactin’, and his stomach tightenin’ the more I took him down. I pulled him back out slow, coverin’ his dick in more spit every time.
His dick was soaked, and when I pulled it out and smacked it against my lips a few times, he let out a low groan that told me everything I needed to know.
One thing about me, if I was suckin’ some dick, I wasn’t stoppin’ until I got what I came for.
“Baby…” he tried to say, but I stayed right here, keepin’ my mouth on him, pushin’ him deeper down my throat while I gagged around him, lovin’ every second of it.
I kept that same rhythm, rollin’ my head and my tongue together, pushin’ him down until I felt him lose control. The second his body tightened up, I knew what it was, and when that warm nut hit the back of my throat, I swallowed it without even thinkin’ twice.
Couture’s abs tightened, his knees bent a lil’ and his breath came out broken as he tried to catch himself. I pulled his dick out slow, still draggin’ and rollin’ my tongue around it until I reached the tip, kissin’ around it.
“Baby… I ain’t never had nobody suck my dick the way you do. I ain’t even gon’ lie,” he said, still breathin’ heavy.
“Are you serious?” I asked, playin’ it off even though I felt that shit.
“I’m so serious,” he replied, meanin’ it.
I laid back on the bed and spread my thighs again, watchin’ him step out his pants completely. He unbuttoned his shirt and left it open, then climbed right back between my legs. He pushed my thong to the side again and slid his dick back into me.
I moaned and wrapped my arms around his neck, pullin’ him down closer while he filled me up.
I was already wet, and he felt it. I could hear it in the way he grunted in my ear, and the way his body pressed into mine, sendin’ chills all through me.
I lifted my thighs higher and wrapped them tight around his waist, holdin’ him right where I needed him while he started movin’ inside me, givin’ it to me deep and slow before pickin’ it up.
We stayed right here, locked in, givin’ it to each other for the rest of the night.
Days later…
Couture had been gone for three whole damn days and I was startin’ to really miss him in a way I ain’t expect.
At first, I was cool, talkin’ to him when I could, textin’, laughin’, keepin’ it light the way we always did, but the more time passed, the more I started feelin’ that space he left behind.
It wasn’t even on no needy shit, it was just…
he had got used to me bein’ on him and I had got used to him bein’ on me, and now that he wasn’t here, I could feel it.
We had talked earlier, but the signal kept droppin’ on his end, and every time his voice cut out, it pissed me off. He always called back though. Every time.
He stayed busy, always in the kitchen, cookin’, but he still made time to check on me. He still made sure I knew he was thinkin’ about me, and told me he missed me. And I missed him too.
I was laid up on the couch with Yunique, passin’ the blunt back and forth while we talked, tryna keep my mind off that feelin’ sittin’ with me ’cause I missed Couture.
Smoke filled the room slow, curlin’ up toward the ceilin’ while we kicked it like we always did.
“So what’s up with you and lil’ chef boy?” she asked, takin’ the blunt from me with that look on her face. “Y’all gon’ make it official or what?”
I smiled a lil’, then ran my fingers through my hair, thinkin’ about it for a second before I answered. “I ain’t rushin’ it,” I said, keepin’ my tone easy. “We still learnin’ each other. I like how it is right now, I ain’t tryna force nothin’ and fuck it up.”
She smirked and hit the blunt again. “That nigga wanna lock you in though, don’t he?”
“Yeah,” I said, noddin’. “He do… but he get it. I told him how I feel about, and he respect it. We just… vibin’.”
Yunique blew her smoke out slow, then looked at me sideways. “Or could it be you still stuck on that white man?”
I rolled my eyes so hard it almost made me laugh. “Girl, Kelli ain’t got nothin’ to do with nothin’,” I said, shakin’ my head. “That was what it was and it ain’t nothin’ now. I’m just takin’ my time, that’s it.”
She watched me for a second, then shrugged like she was gon’ leave it alone, even though I knew she wasn’t fully buyin’ it. Before she could say somethin’ else, her phone buzzed. She looked down at it, then shook her head.
“Bitch, Kwest outside,” she said, already gettin’ up.
I shook my head. “Bitch, you better stop lettin’ that nigga drive the gas out yo’ car.”
She laughed and grabbed her bag. “Mind the business that pay you, hoe.”
“You right,” I said, throwin’ my hands up. “You got it, bitch.”
I walked her to the door, gave her a quick hug, and told her I’d hit her tomorrow before she stepped out. Once she left, the apartment got quiet again, and that same lil’ emptiness crept back in.
I locked the door and started straightenin’ up, pickin’ up behind us, washin’ the dishes and cleanin’ the kitchen like I always did before I got ready for bed.
I took the trash out, ironed my clothes for the mornin’, then headed to the bathroom to shower, runnin’ through my routine like it was just another night.
After I got out, I threw my robe on and dropped my phone in the pocket just in case Couture called me while I was in the bathroom.
Then, I stood at the mirror and started pressin’ my hair, movin’ slow and careful so it came out right.
I wrapped it up once I was done, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and went through my facial routine, tryna settle my mind down before I laid it down for the night.
I had just patted my face dry with the towel when I heard a knock at the door.
I ain’t think nothin’ of it. I walked out the bathroom and down the hall, still in my robe, and when I opened the door, my whole body froze.
Three niggas stood there in dark clothes with ski masks on, and for a second, my mind couldn’t even process what I was lookin’ at. It felt unreal, like I had stepped into somethin’ that wasn’t mine or like I was havin’ a fuckin’ nightmare.
Then it hit me all at the same damn time…
I tried to slam the door, but they was too fast.
They pushed through the shit like it wasn’t nothin’, and the force of it sent me flyin’ backwards, my body slammin’ hard against the floor while the door flung wide open behind me.
The sound echoed through the apartment, and before I could even catch my breath or push myself up, they was already inside.
For a second, I just laid here on my back, starin’ up at them, my heart racin’ so fast it ain’t even feel real.
As I laid frozen from shock and fear, it dawned on me…
I done let these niggas in…
And just like that… I knew this shit could go either way.
One of them stepped forward and shoved the door closed behind him, lockin’ it like he had all the time in the world, while the other one moved closer to me. My chest started risin’ and fallin’ too fast, my body tryna react, but my mind still stuck, tryna catch up to what was happenin’.
I opened my mouth to say somethin’, to scream, to beg or do anything, but nothin’ came out. The only thing I could hear was my own heartbeat poundin’ in my ears while I laid here, lookin’ up at three masked faces and realizin’ I was really in this shit.
“Bitch, where the money at?” Ond of ’em snapped, and before I could even answer, his hand came across my face so hard it made my head snap to the side.
“What money?” I finally got out, my voice shaky and confused.
He slapped me again, harder this time, and somethin’ in me reacted without thinkin’. I swung back, but it ain’t do nothin’. He grabbed me up and threw me back to the floor so hard it knocked the breath out my body, and before I could even catch it, he was draggin’ me by my hair across the floor.
“Stop playin’ with me, bitch!” He yelled, yankin’ me so hard it made tears fill my eyes. “Where the fuck the money at?”
That’s when it clicked…
Somebody had been talkin’, ’cause ain’t no way these niggas just popped up askin’ for money they wasn’t even supposed to know shit about.
Kay’Lo had gave me fifty thousand in cash before I came back home. I had took twenty thousand of it and put it in my bank account, tryna move smart, and after spendin’ about five, I still had a full twenty sittin’ in the safe in my closet.
And now these niggas was in my house… askin’ for it.
My stomach dropped all over again, but I ain’t have time to think about who set me up or how they even knew. That shit ain’t matter right now. All that mattered was stayin’ alive.
“Okay, okay,” I said quick, my voice breakin’ while I tried to push myself up. “I’ll give y’all the fuckin’ money…just… don’t shoot me. Please…”
They followed behind me while I crawled toward my bedroom, my body shakin’ and my hands barely steady enough to hold me up. I kept prayin’ under my breath the whole way, askin’ God not to let this be how I went out.
When I got to my closet, I grabbed the safe and dropped it on the bed, my fingers tremblin’ as I tried to remember the code. My mind went blank, and panic hit me all over again.
“Bitch! Open that muthafuckin’ safe before I shoot you in yo’ shit!” One of ’em yelled, cockin’ the gun.
My heart felt like it was finna explode. I closed my eyes for a second and begged God to help me remember, and just like that, the numbers came back to me.
I punched them in fast, my hands shakin’ the whole time, and when it finally clicked open, they rushed in and grabbed the money.
I just knew it was over. I thought they was gon’ leave, but one of ’em lifted his gun and pointed it right at me.
That’s when survival took over. I pushed past him and ran. I ain’t think about shit but gettin’ out that door. I could hear them behind me. I could hear the footsteps and the gunshots poppin’ off while I ran for my life.
I grabbed the handle, yanked the door open, and the moment I stepped through, a shot hit me.
Pain shot through my shoulder so fast it made my whole body give out, and I dropped right here in the doorway, my hand tryna reach for the handle while everything around me started feelin’ unreal.
They ran past me, tramplin’ over me like I wasn’t shit, and I could feel the blood startin’ to soak through my robe while my breath came out shallow and fast.
I thought I was about to die…
My hand shook as I reached into my pocket and grabbed my phone, barely able to hold it steady while I dialed.
“What’s your emergency?”
“I been shot…” I whispered, my voice weak and breakin’ while my body started to give in. “Please… help me…”
The world around me started to fade, my vision blurin’ while my chest struggled to keep up, and before I could say anything else…
Everything went black…
