Chapter 18

Paxton

“Mr. Hughes these gifts came for you while you were out.” I smiled and looked at the things Yani sent over to my office. This had become our thing and something I looked forward to bi-weekly.

“Thank you, Amy. Bring them in please.”

I stepped into my office to a beautiful being. One that I hadn’t had the pleasure of seeing for the pass week. We both had tight schedules and couldn’t get away. I wasn’t expecting to see her until this weekend.

“Oh yeah. You have a visitor as well,” Amy commented after Yani’s presence had already been revealed.

“Yeah, I can see that. What are you doing here beautiful?”

She stood as I approached her, and we shared a kiss that lingered after our disconnection.

Yani had no idea what she was doing to a nigga.

I was prepared to wait for her until she was ready to turn us into a relationship.

I saw first hand the pain she went through.

I knew it would take time and I had that to give.

“We missed you and couldn’t wait,” she said with a smirk.

I knew exactly what that meant. I was glad she decided to stop by because I missed them as well. I had buried myself with work just to make it through the week and stay distracted.

After Amy was done bringing in everything, I locked the door and began to undress. “Strip,” I commanded.

She did, allowing me to take in every inch of her. The view was enjoyable. I could’ve been tripping but it seemed as if her body was beginning to fill out. Her breast was slightly bigger, and her hips were starting to expand just a little.

Taking a seat on the sofa, she positioned herself between my legs and proceeded to get on her knees. My wood became her point of interest as she swiveled her tongue across the head. So wet and so warm. I could never get tired of that feeling.

I eyed her as she took me in whole. Over the months of us dealing with one another, she adjusted to my size in many ways.

She knew how to take me, as well as please me, and that was something most women couldn’t do.

With us never breaking eye contact, I brought her hair up in a ponytail position and held it there while she did her thing.

Admiring her jaws go to work was one of the best things I came across.

Hearing her slurp me up, and feeling the back of her throat, brought me to my peak.

I was damn near jabbing at her tonsils as I released and let my warm fluid coat her throat walls.

She stood, wiping the corners of her mouth, indicating she swallowed every drop, then straddled me.

I could feel the heat radiating from her box.

I sat back and allowed her to do as she pleased.

Yani was in control. She slipped the tip inside and worked her way down my shaft until she hit the base.

The snug feeling her pussy provided was one that I couldn’t help but cause a ruckus for.

She felt like heaven and that was something to go hard behind.

Her ride started out slow and steady. She let me enjoy the warmth, and wetness it housed. With every motion, I fell deeper into her web. She wasn’t even doing much but I felt like she was doing everything necessary to imprint and stake her claim on me.

Since being with Yani, I hadn’t thought about anything other than a future with her. All the way down to which one of us our children would resemble. I saw so much with her, and I didn’t think she understood what all I was investing in her.

Our flesh rubbed against one another enhancing our connection.

It seemed the more she invited me in, the more water her pond produced.

The tsunami had no plans of ending. I was hit with wave after wave with juices flowing in my lap.

I didn’t know if she was excited to get the dick or what, but this time didn’t feel like the last.

Her breast bounced against my cheeks as she rode with slight aggression. She smelled like a bottle of cocoa butter and the way her body melted in my hands, she felt just as smooth.

“Fuuuuck!”

I held on to her ass, gripping tightly as she slammed down on my dick repeatedly.

“You’re too loud beautiful,” I said as I sucked on her neck.

“You feel so good baby.”

“I have employees mama.”

I was speaking to a wall the way she ignored me. Her screams got louder as she got closer to releasing. She gripped me tighter, pulling my nut out as well. Our climax together was always one for the books and a moment I could run back timelessly.

Her chest heaved as her head dropped to the crook of my neck. I cherished these moments with her. A woman’s body was their most prized possession, and I was grateful to receive hers.

“This whole floor heard you beautiful.”

“Stop loving me so good and they wouldn’t hear me. I love this shit baby.”

“I see that mama. Hop up so my staff won’t think I’m in here killing you.”

“No baby. I like having you inside me.”

“And trust when I say a nigga love being there, but I’m at work and I still have a company to run.”

She released a deep breath causing me to chuckle. “Fine. I’m hungry anyway. You do have time to eat with me, right?”

“Of course.” I threw her a wink and she smiled.

Spending time with Yani had become one of my favorite pastimes. She could make my day go faster and smoother just by feeling her presence. She was my new comfortability.

I found myself questioning whether what I felt for her was real at times because of how comfortable she made me feel. Our attachment to one another had grown from being a beneficial partner to a partner I couldn’t see myself without.

Thalia still had a place in my heart, but it was clear that Yani was moving in and settling down. I developed feelings for her quickly, but they were ones I was sure about. I knew the effects she had on me.

When I couldn’t go a day without thinking about her, I knew then we were locked in. My thoughts were always surrounding her. Mostly how her smile brightened my day or how her voice was so angelic. She was consuming more than my body.

“I got us something light. A few salads from Caesars Palace.”

“I can get with that. I like that ring you got on. Where it come from?”

“It’s just a part of my jewelry.”

“That’s cool, it’s just I never seen it before, nor do you wear rings like that, Yani.”

“I have a lot of jewelry that I don’t wear often. I was in the mood and decided to put it on. Do you want the receipts to my purchases Paxton?”

She was getting smart with me and that was a first. I asked a simple question and got a snappy response in return. It wasn’t even that serious.

“You doing too much, but I won’t ask again. Let’s just eat because I have a lot to get done today.”

An awkward silence formed, and we sat eating without acknowledging the others presence. That quick we fell into a rut. I didn’t know what to expect afterward.

She finished before I did and started to clean up after herself still not saying a word. I wasn’t the nigga that allowed their woman to walk away feeling anything other than happy and satisfied.

“Come here beautiful.”

“I’m about to get out of your hair, Pax. It seems you have a busy day, and I already took enough of your time.”

“I’m not repeating myself, Yani.”

She gave me a glare that I didn’t flinch from. Yani didn’t intimidate me. I loved her passion behind her character, but I wasn’t easily moved. When I didn’t budge, she kissed her teeth, and rolled her eyes. However, she took that stride in my direction.

“What Pax?”

I pulled her down onto my lap bringing her face toward mine. Our lips connected and my tongue quickly parted hers. They couldn’t help but dance. The kiss was so enthusiastic I was hoping it wiped away her attitude.

“Drop this sass. That’s not how we rock. I asked a question from a curiosity. It is what it is baby. It’s nice and it looks good on you.”

“Thank you. I wasn’t trying to argue either or create this tension.”

“Then let it go. We’re good. I do have a lot of work I need to get done though. That statement wasn’t to brush you off.”

“I get it. I saw the pile of files on your desk when I arrived. I’ll go and talk to you later on.”

“I’ll hit you when I’m home and settled.”

She stood, giving me another sensual kiss before sashaying across the floor. I eyed her every move. She was indeed a physical flawless woman. It made no sense how her ass jiggled so effortlessly.

“Bye handsome man. I love you.”

I was too stunned to speak, and her steps stopped once she realized what she let slip off her tongue. It seemed as if the world was at a standstill. She hurriedly opened the door and tried to take off.

“What did you just say?”

She ignored my inquiry and left me to think on it alone. I was trying to process what she said but my desk phone began to ring catching my attention.

“Yeah.”

“Mr. Hughes, Gia is here and ready for your meeting.”

“Ask her to give me five minutes and she could enter.”

I was completely stuck and didn’t know if I was hearing shit or not. I knew how I felt but if her feelings were mutual then I could openly voice my feelings about her to her. She didn’t want a label on us, but those words held more sentimental value than any title she could acknowledge us as.

Time with Yani wasn’t wasted so if she did love me, it meant that she was accepting the treatment I gave her.

I tried my best to make her feel appreciated and wanted.

I spoiled her with gifts and quality time as if that was what kept her energized.

Anything she wanted; she didn’t have to ask for twice.

I did my job as a man so if what she said was true, I felt accomplished.

My only goal was to get her to love me in return.

“She said what now?”

The day had continued, but the words Yani said to me were still ringing loud as if they were just spoken. I didn’t know what to say or do. She had been avoiding me ever since as well. No response back to my calls or text. I knew I was worth some of her time and at least an explanation.

“Her exact words were “Bye handsome man. I love you” and I been fucked up ever since.”

“Damn. Do you think it was an impulsive thing or that was really how she felt?”

“That’s the thing Jo, I can’t call it. Like, when we together everything just seems right. We barely argue and shit so damn good with us that I low key think she does.”

“That’s big if she does. Y’all been at this for some months so it wouldn’t be surprising. Has she mentioned her ex or anything lately?”

“Not since the last time we had a transparent conversation. I can tell she not truly over him though. She avoids bringing him up a lot.”

“What if she ain’t over him for real? I mean, didn’t you say they were together for ten years?”

“Yeah, that’s what she said. I know her feelings for him won’t wash away with ease, but I was hoping that the time we were putting in was making it easier for her. Hell, I’m already working overtime for Brendon’s approval. He doesn’t want Yani with anyone but his pops.”

Lately, I was taking him out for lunch dates to try and gain a relationship with him. I knew how he felt but I was still trying because eventually his mother was going to be my wife. At least that was the goal I was working toward.

“Shit, you knew that was going to take more time and effort than getting with Yani. I know how I was about dukes and that dating shit.”

“Why she not talking to me though?”

“Nigga she probably trying to process what the fuck she said as well. Give her time to come to you. More than likely, she scared herself.”

I got what he was saying. Those words weren’t ones you just threw around lightly. Coming from someone you had strong feelings for, they hit different. I was surprised to even hear them, so I knew what she was going through momentarily.

“Anyway, off her and on this birthday party. It’s in a few weeks. You got a date yet?”

“I planned on bringing my woman Dawn with me.”

“I been meaning to ask you, what’s Dawn’s last name?”

“Sullivan. Why?”

“How coincidental. That’s Yani’s best friend.”

“Say word? Damn this world getting smaller and smaller.”

“Same shit I been saying. Yani speaks highly of her. This shit is wild.”

I had a feeling that Josiaha had ran into Yani’s right hand man and he confirmed it. The girl talks those two had could only be imagined.

“She’s on her way over here now. She should be pulling up any minute now.”

“You could’ve warned me before I dropped by nigga. I would’ve just hit yo’ line.”

“For what? You act like you can’t meet who I’m dealing with or be around them. She cool people.”

I figured she was from how Yani smiled when she spoke about her. I guess meeting her outside of a work environment would provide an unfamiliar perspective for me.

“That’s not even remotely true. I just don’t interrupt people’s time. I’m ’bout to head out though. I owe Pay a movie night.”

I stood and he dapper me up. He showed me to the door and as I opened it, Dawn was beginning to knock. Once she saw me, she cocked her head to the side.

“Paxton?”

“I’m pass my stage of curiosity. Josiaha is my brother. I see we’ll have a relationship outside of business with how many mutual parties we share.”

“I guess we will.” She smiled and gestured for a hug which I gave up.

“All I got to say, is don’t hurt my people. I get real stupid behind them.”

“I could give you the same warning, but Yani is a piece of work all by herself. However, I don’t want to see her hurt twice.”

“I got you. Enjoy your night.”

I walked pass her and to my car. My circle was growing and the people in it were genuine.

With Yani, she brought friends that wanted to see our relationship flourish, and on my end, I had people that was excited for the future.

They wanted me happy with a woman again and I could finally give them that.
