Chapter 4

FOUR

I blink several times.

“Do you understand?”

“Wh-what?” I whisper.

“Do you understand what I just said to you? I will spank you or put you in time-out,” he says once more.

“I heard you the first time,” I whisper, looking down at my lap. “I just didn’t think you were being serious.”

Who is he and where did he come from? Are all the men like him on Venkoria?

“So, do you understand?” he asks once again.

“I do but—”

“Not buts.”

I clench my teeth together and glare at him. “But that doesn’t mean it is okay!”

He chuckles. “Like you have a choice. You are mine, and if you are naughty, I will punish you.”

“But I wasn’t naughty!” I shout.

Never in my life have I raised my voice so many times, but he does something to me. It’s like he has lit something inside of me I never knew existed.

“I didn’t say I was going to spank you,” he gently says. “But if you continue to raise your voice at me, I will give you a couple of spankings.”

“No! You don’t have to do that!” I quickly reply.

He hums before pulling me into his chest and holding me tightly against him.

“Yamal is going to give you an injection now, so we don’t have to worry about you getting sick.” He runs his hands through my hair.

“Wait!” I scream. “I can’t! Please, don’t make me get another shot. Please!”

Tears pool in my eyes.

“I don’t want a shot. I can’t have another one. Please! I beg you. I don’t think I can handle it.” My breathing picks up. I grip onto Daddy’s shirt, pulling my face closer to his chest. “Please, I’ll be a good girl. I’ll do whatever you want me to as long as I don’t have to get the shot.”

“Whoa.” Daddy pulls me away from him. “You’re okay.”

I shake my head. “Please don’t make me get it. Please.”

Tears run down my face as I look at him. Nausea rolls inside of me, and I gag.

“Leah, you’re okay,” Daddy reminds me.

I place a hand over my mouth as I heave once again.

“No needles.” Daddy runs his hands down my back. “You don’t have to get the injection. You’re okay.”

Daddy whispers calming words into my ears.

“Chale,” Yamal says. “She needs this.”

“She is terrified of needles. Let us think this through and figure something else out,” Daddy replies.

“Leah?” Yamal gently asks. “Can you look at me quickly?”

I turn my head to face the doctor.

“Did you react the same way when you had an injection the other two times?” he asks.

I shake my head. I had no time to react when I got jabbed with those two needles. They stuck me before I even knew what was happening.

“What was different?” Chale asks.

“I didn’t know it was coming,” I whisper before my eyes go wide. “Don’t do it! I… Please.”

Daddy runs his hands up and down my back once again, calming me. “We aren’t going to. We will find another way to get the medicine into you. Even if it takes a couple of days. Right, Yamal?”

“Chale.” The doctor’s voice is full of disbelief.

“Right?” Daddy asks once again.

Yamal sighs. “Right. We will figure something out. For all we know, there could be other girls who have a phobia of needles as well. We might also want to think about the ones who do not like to take medicine.”

“That’s why you have suppositories.” Chale chuckles. “Then they don’t have to swallow them.”

Yamal snaps his fingers. “Correct, so the problem is solved. After I examine her, I will start trying to figure out a way to get the shot into pill form so she can take it that way.”

“Thank you,” Daddy says. “What do you say, Little one?”

“Thank you,” I mumble before pushing my face into his chest.

“I’m going to look over your foot and clean the wound as best as I can,” Yamal explains. “I’m going to touch your foot again.”

“No shot?” I peek at him.

He smiles at me. “No shot. I promise, unless it is absolutely necessary.”

My eyes go wide, and I shake my head. Nope. I did not agree to this.

“When I say absolutely necessary, I mean if you have a reaction to something or it is life or death,” Yamal explains. “But hopefully by then, I will have everything in pill or liquid form.”

My whole body relaxes against Daddy’s as Yamal picks up my foot once again.

“You are too cold,” he mumbles. “Are you always this cold?”

I nod. “Yes.”

“There may be something wrong with her levels. We will find out soon enough,” Yamal says as he slowly starts to clean my foot. “Can I ask you a couple of questions?”

“Not like I have a choice.” I grip onto Daddy’s shirt.

“Be respectful.” Daddy lightly taps my bottom. “Disrespect will get you sent to the corner.”

“Sorry,” I whisper.

“When you were on the space station, how did you get your medicine?” Yamal asks.

“Some were pills and some shots.” I shiver at the memories.

“And you got the injections? How did that work?” Yamal gently places my foot down. “Can you turn her around so I can look over her body?”

Daddy pulls me away from him and moves me so I’m staring directly at Yamal.

“I’m going to hover this over your body to see if you have any diseases. It will give me all sorts of information. This won’t hurt at all but I need you to keep still,” Yamal tells me. “You can answer my questions, though.”

Fascinated, I watch as he starts moving the wand slowly from my foot all the way up to my head.

“How did that work for you? Did you miss those vaccinations?” Yamal asks.

“No, I got them.” Tears pool in my eyes.

“How?” Daddy asks.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” I mumble.

“I need to know,” Yamal explains. “It’s important as your doctor to know these things. Do you remember what they were?”

“I don’t remember what they were,” I reply honestly.

We were never given that information. On the space station, we were just told to go to the medical bay and get the pills and shots before heading back to our room to rest the remainder of the day.

Some of us asked regularly what it was, but we were told by Headmistress Helena that it was to keep us healthy and not everyone got the same thing.

“And how did you get given them?” Daddy asks once again.

“I really don’t want to talk about it.” I look over my shoulder at him.

“But Yamal needs this information,” Daddy reminds me. “We aren’t going to get angry. You just need to tell us so we can understand.”

I take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. “Usually, I threw up a lot and passed out. That’s when they would give me the shots all at once while I was out and couldn’t remember anything.”

I close my eyes and try to curl up.

“They did what?” Daddy’s voice is calm.

I shake my head, wrapping my arms around my waist.

“Pull your hands out. I need to run the device over them,” Yamal gently tells me.

He grabs my wrists and helps pull my arms away from my waist. The one thing that was comforting me I can no longer do.

“I’m going to kill them,” Daddy growls.

My eyes go wide, and I lift my head to look at him.

“What?” I whisper.

“They should not have done that,” he tells me. “They should have figured something out or not given you the shots.”

I shrug and look forward again. Yamal is still slowly moving the wand over my body.

“Does it really get everything inside me?” I ask.

“It shows me all your blood vessels, bones, and organs. It will show me if you have any illness on a superficial level. Then we are going to have to take your temperature and check your other vitals,” Yamal explains.

“No taking blood to see if I’m low on anything?” I whisper.

He shakes his head. “When we take your temperature, it will give us that data.”

“How?” I wrinkle my nose as he lifts the wand over my head.

“Our technology is much advanced than humans’. This is how we examine to see if there is anything wrong. Saves a lot of time and recourses.” Yamal chuckles. “And it’s better for people who are afraid of needles.”

“Is there anyone else like me?” I lean forward as I look at him.

He shakes his head once again. “You are the first person I have met who is afraid of needles. Some find them uncomfortable, but your phobia is real.”

I slump against Daddy’s body. Of course there is no one else who is afraid of needles. I didn’t know anyone on the space station, either.

“There is another Little pet here who has a fear of heights. To the same degree that you are afraid of needles,” Daddy tells me. “Do not be ashamed.”

“It’s kind of hard,” I mumble.

“Can you lie her on her side?” Yamal asks.

My eyes go wide as I stare at him. “No!”

“Pull her knees up to her chest,” Yamal instructs.

Before I know what is happening, Daddy has me on the bed in position.

“Chale!” I yell. “Stop!”

My mouth falls open, and I stare at Daddy, who is right in front of me. Shit.

“What did you just call me?” His voice is cold.

“Sir! I called you Sir!” I say, panicked.

“Yamal, I need five minutes.” He keeps hold of me as he speaks to Yamal.

“Wait! Don’t go, Yamal!” I scream. “Don’t leave me here!”
