Chapter 6
Theo
Ideserved some sort of gold star for getting over myself and inviting Diccon up to my apartment.
But why not? The evening had been spectacular so far.
Diccon was so sunny and easy to talk to.
We had more in common than I would have thought, which was thrilling.
I could have sat there in the restaurant with the weird name all night or walked all over Glenside with him and not run out of things to talk about, but as soon as I started getting green light signals, I knew where I wanted the night to end.
“Wow,” Diccon said, looking around my apartment as soon as we were inside. “This place looks exactly like where I imagined you would live.”
“Is that a good thing?” I asked, worry tying my stomach in knots. Maybe I shouldn’t have had so much wine with my supper. Not that I’d had much. Or maybe I should have had more. I wasn’t good in these sorts of situations, where I really wanted a guy, but I wished I was.
Diccon made it to the center of the main room and turned in a circle, looking around. “Honestly, a lot of guys our age don’t know the first thing about decorating or maintaining a space. Bare walls and thrift store furniture and all. But this place looks amazing.”
I let out a breath, though the expectant energy I’d been carrying with me since Closed Mondays, since I’d found the courage to ask Diccon out the other morning, really, was still there.
“Architecture is my passion,” I explained, “but interior design kind of goes hand in hand with that. What’s the point of having a well-designed building if you mess it up with cheap, mismatched décor, or nothing at all? ”
“I totally agree with that,” Diccon said, glancing around at the furniture and walls. “And you said you didn’t understand eclectic art.”
“Making sure the couch has a few throw pillows on it is miles away from creating art out of bike parts and garden tools,” I said, maybe making a joke. I was so bad at joking that the comment could have been a complete flop.
Diccon’s gaze dragged away from the painting by a local artist I had on my wall and met mine. His smile wasn’t just contagious; it was a whole pandemic of brilliance and lust. I felt it all the way down into my core.
“Maybe we should test your couch and throw pillows out to make sure they’re functional,” he said, a twinkle in his eyes.
I grinned, taking a step closer to him. “Maybe we should.” I was breathless and my insides swirled, but for once, it wasn’t out of fear that everything would fall apart. Every instinct within me said things were just about to come together.
“I definitely think we should,” Diccon said, lowering his voice as he came close enough to reach for me.
I sucked in a breath at the touch of his hand on my waist. The gesture was far more intimate than holding hands while walking through the streets of our hometown.
The heat that spread from his hand seemed to fill me, though all I wanted to do for a second was look at Diccon and memorize the desire in his eyes.
I couldn’t believe that a guy as bright and charming as Diccon actually wanted me. But it was so clear that he did, from the flush that spread across his cheeks to the way his pupils dilated as we inched closer together.
I reached for him as well, sliding one hand up his arm to his shoulder, and then cupping his face.
I couldn’t believe he was here with me, in my apartment, ready for wherever the night might take us.
I didn’t usually take the initiative with guys I liked out of fear that I’d get it all wrong and end up broken, but I just had to with Diccon.
I closed the distance between us, slanting my mouth over his in a kiss that was calm and quiet at first. Just a brush of lips, a first taste of warmth and what was yet to come.
It was different than our sudden kiss at open mic night.
I was surer of myself, not at all taken by surprise.
I even felt like I could take the lead. I deepened our kiss, brushing my thumb over Diccon’s cheek.
Diccon hummed low in his throat and slid his arms all the way around me, bringing our bodies flush against each other. “You’re wonderful,” he said breathlessly, then came back in for another kiss.
Things escalated quickly, and it was heaven. Our exploratory kisses turned to open-mouth communion. Diccon was an amazing kisser, and I completely lost myself in the brush of his tongue and the nip of his teeth against my bottom lip.
I don’t even know how we ended up on the couch.
My body was so primed and ready that I slid into a reclined position with grace I didn’t usually have.
Diccon ended up slightly on top of me as he tugged at the bottom of my shirt and spread his hand across my bare stomach.
I pulled at his clothes as well, hungry to feel him with no barriers between us.
“Are you okay with this?” Diccon asked, his voice so tender it made my heart hurt as he swept his hand all the way up to my chest, fingers dancing across one of my nipples.
“Definitely okay,” I sighed in reply, then wriggled so he could take my shirt off entirely.
I returned the favor once my torso was bare, sweeping Diccon’s shirt up over his head and tossing it aside. I might have liked order and neatness in my work and my apartment under normal circumstances, but I just wanted to be as close to Diccon as possible now.
“You’re gorgeous,” I told him as I explored his chest with my hands. He had a light dusting of hair across his pecs, an enticing trail that led from his stomach down to the waist of his jeans, and flushed skin that begged to be touched and savored.
“You’re not bad yourself,” Diccon said in return with a sexy smile.
I wanted him so badly I could hardly think.
We should have discussed a few things before we got started, but as the energy picked up, I didn’t care.
We would figure out the details later. For now, I muscled up, shifting our positions so I could spread Diccon on his back under me and reach for the fly of his jeans.
I kissed him as I undid the button and zipper. He lifted his hips and helped me push his jeans down enough so I could slip my hand under the waistband of his boxers to free what I wanted.
He was already so hard. His length was perfect and straight, thicker than I thought he’d be. He was uncut, but as I stroked him slowly, mesmerized by the sight of him, his foreskin pulled back to reveal his already damp tip.
“Do you mind?” I asked, hoarse and pulsing in my own jeans.
“Yes, please,” he sighed.
His answer didn’t quite match my question, but I got the point and I didn’t hesitate.
I lowered myself to kiss his tip, then explore his hot length with my lips and tongue.
I loved the taste of him, salty and musky.
I sighed at the sounds he made as I shifted my hand to hold his balls while licking my way up his length, then closing my mouth around him to suck his flared head.
“That’s so good,” he gasped, tilting his head back for a moment before focusing on watching what I was doing.
I couldn’t believe I had my mouth on Diccon Meyers.
I’d adored him from afar, and now I could show him just how into him I was with pleasure.
I loved everything I was doing, even though I hadn’t necessarily been a fan of sucking cock in the past. With Diccon, it wasn’t a demand made or a desperate way for me to keep someone who didn’t really want me.
It was so good, and we were so in tune with each other.
“Stop, stop,” Diccon gasped, putting a hand on my shoulder to hold me back. “I’m close.”
I pulled off him and nodded, then surged in to kiss him again. It was hot and beautiful, and for the first time in a long time, I felt like things might actually go my way.
We switched positions again, and I nearly cried out loud enough to wake the neighbors when Diccon went down on me.
He was really good with his mouth. Once he had my jeans and underwear around my thighs, he dove into me like there was a prize for creating the most sensation.
I wasn’t all that impressive, or so I’d always thought, but Diccon hummed and moaned as he sucked me like I was the sweetest candy.
It was so good that I wasn’t going to last. I let myself indulge in the wet heat of his mouth a little too long, and when my orgasm started, I wasn’t quite ready. “Diccon,” I gasped, trying to push at his shoulder to warn him.
I was too late, and with a deep sigh that took over my entire being, I started to come in his mouth. Diccon picked up his speed instead of pulling back and swallowed, making everything that much better. It felt like all the life was sucked out of me, but I was perfectly fine with that.
As I relaxed into a boneless state of satisfaction, Diccon finally pulled back.
His face was red and his eyes were glazed as he looked down at me, shirtless and a little bit slutty with my jeans pulled down and my flagging cock resting against my belly.
He liked what he saw. He pushed up to his knees and took his own, rock-hard dick in hand, pumping as he drank in the sight of me.
It was sexy as hell to watch, and when he whimpered then came all over my stomach, I wished I could get hard again and come with him. Never in my life had I been part of anything so dead sexy.
“That was amazing,” Diccon panted, reaching for a tissue from the box on the table beside the couch and using that to clean me up. “You’re fabulous.”
“So are you,” I said, still breathless.
Diccon tossed the tissue aside, then eased down onto the couch to tangle up with me.
We didn’t bother pulling up our jeans or covering ourselves with anything other than each other.
I loved a good cuddle after sex, but usually I was too afraid to ask for it.
I shouldn’t have been at all surprised that Diccon was a snuggler, too.
“This is nice,” Diccon said after we’d just lain there, and maybe dozed, for a few minutes. “We should do it more often.”
