Chapter 28 #2

I read it and slowly take Love in my arms, turning on the water in the new bathtub and filling it the warmest I can.

Love likes to almost roast in the bath, I’ve learnt to enjoy it.

I gently lay Love in the water on top of me, and wash her while massaging every muscle of her body.

When I get to her inner thighs, she sighs and softly moans and starts to wake up when I get to her pussy.

“What are you doing?” Love asks slightly moaning as I clean her lips.

“We need to be out in…,” I look at the clock. “Fifteen minutes,” I whisper to her and she’s suddenly wide awake, her breathing returning to normal. She gets up slowly holding my hands and getting a towel for herself and one for me.

She stares at me, “Sometimes I forget how heavenly you look”

“And I’ll always be here to remind you of it,” I say chuckling. Love starts to dress up as if she is on a countdown. “Slow down, or you might get your license taken,” I say and Love pouts at me.

“I need to get properly dressed Dominik,” she says looking at the wardrobe.

“Here,” I hand Love her backup clothes and she smiles miles wide.

“Thank you,” she says and I try not to look at her as she dresses herself and focus on getting some clothes on me, but my eyes lock like magnets on her.

“Let’s kill, Liot,” Love screams when we get out of the room.

I’m armed from feet to neck. Love is equally armed since I’m a paranoid bastard who refuses to believe in fair resolutions in war.

Someone always dies, the world just isn’t fair.

If God exists, he’s in need of a major reality check.

He put Love through hell, a person whose only sin was falling for me.

I may be demonic to some. Yet I won’t let God or anyone else in the matter, hurt her ever again.

“What’s the status Josh?” I question finding him in the living room.

His hazel eyes are different. I don’t know how or why but they seem...

different. I’ll further explore the reason behind the change once I have time and will for it.

Which may never happen with Love next to me.

I’m blind to everyone but her. She’s all I see, all I want, all I need.

However I still need my servants to be loyal so I make time for them.

When Love sleeps or is busy. I stay present and don’t need to change my agenda or modus operandi much.

I’ve always been distant, unreachable to be more accurate.

“Liot has united all Mitkus mafia, which means if we end him, Alakai and both of us will be in control of all south,” Denfell’s, Ricik’s, and Kane’s legacy zone, “And all north,” various Mitkus mafia. “Who wants to own a whole country?” Josh drops the bomb and Aiden raises his hand.

“Just talk, you’re not in class,” I respond and Love elbows me hard, I almost curse under my breath, but I won’t give Aiden that pleasure.

“What if Linft or Katkan start to notice us?” Aiden asks concerned about the countries closer to our island-like one Maakt. This comes from Egyptian Maat, which can be defined as order. How ironic… the country of order will be fully ruled by the chaos itself. That can also be defined as me.

“We make sure they don’t. And we get ready for the possibility of them taking an interest in us.-”

“Just like any other leader,” Josh completes my phrase.

“Aw, you finish each other’s…,” Maya says making a big pause, “Sentences, it was easy, guys. Screw you”

“What about the police?” Samantha asks completely ignoring Maya’s pointless intervention.

“They fear and respect us, as long as we respect the rules, that doesn’t mean follow them, that means not leaving traces behind, and not calling fucking attention!

” Josh screams at Maya when she tries to take a group photo on Snapchat.

“That’s it. Last strike, you’re out of social media for two weeks. ”

“You’re not my father!” Maya exclaims enraged.

“I’m your superior, behave,” Josh calmly speaks, which only gets her to curse and go to the entrance door.

“Are we going to kill Liot or what?” Samantha asks from the door.

“A plan would be good, don’t you think, sweetheart?” Josh yells, but I have a sense it’s only to upset Samantha; yelling isn’t necessary at this distance, so I elbow Josh, when Love elbows me.

“What’s the plan?” Rian asks sitting on the couch as if he’s not bothered at all, if anything he seems bored.

“We get to Liot’s house. Team 1,” Josh says clapping his hands twice and the light turns off, showing the image from a projector.

Josh has been dying for a chance to use this new asset he bought for the new house.

Smart lights and a fancy command-controlled cinema-quality projector.

“Team 1, that as if you can see Love, Sammy, Thomas, Rian, Kit and Camilla are coming with me”

“We did not agree with Love going with you,” I interject.

“I agreed to let you disagree. Team 2 is the rest of you, Maya, Aiden, Marcus, Damian, Dominik and Karl. Love can protect herself, but for your chauvinist personality problem, Kit will accompany her and throw himself in front of any bullets shot her way,” Josh says and I am still not convinced.

Rian gets up and gives us a last accessory, our newest bulletproof vests.

“If this shortens my movement span I’ll kill you, Denfell-”

“It won’t,” Rian says ending up handing the vests. “And you can’t,” Rian whispers to me and Love hears. She pulls him close and pretends to hug him while whispering “But I can,” in his ear. That’s my girl.

Josh tells all the details and I hear everything attentively while making some amends to his flawed plan. What else is to be expected from the most sinful being in earth? When everything is polished and there aren’t any questions from anyone we move.

I walk to Josh’s car holding my rifle close, Love holding my arm. “I’ll see you inside,” I look at Love embracing her in my arms. She kisses me, with more emotion than ever.

“I’ll see you,” even though she’s not convinced we’ll all make it out alive. Thankfully we have access to each other’s cameras and will be up to everything happening on both sides of Liot’s construction site.

“It’s a promise, Ma Vie,” she assents looking ahead before I can see her face lose light clearly. But I know it did, even only seeing her profile.

“I’m not doing this to torture you,” Josh says nearing the car and I almost lose it.

“Then why are you doing this, motherfucker?” I question lowly so that no one but us can hear it.

“You work better alone, without Love around, you won’t be fully bound to anyone else. You’ll be able to do your job and come back home to her,” Josh says smiling meanly. I smile back. Maybe my hand will slip accidentally and my rifle will hit his dear Marcus by mere coincidence.

Everyone is in their own cars when I look at Karl on the front passenger seat and enter mine. I start to drive, knowing we’re going to the wolves' cave, and they won’t be happy. Good thing they won’t be expecting it either.
