Chaos Chapter 5 #2

“Mishap and I went to see her Thursday after work. She had been avoiding him since Saturday. He was concerned she wouldn’t stay away from those goddamn bars. I didn’t blame him. I was wondering the same thing. When we arrived, she wasn’t thrilled to see us.

“She let us in, and we told her why we were there and what he wanted her to do, which was to let the cops investigate. We kept it secret that we’d already asked Shadow, Cambria, and Crusher to see what they could find.

Or that if we find the one or ones behind the assaults, we’ll deal with them, not the police. ”

“Bianca’s suspicion about us sure surprised me. Good thing the law and others can’t make those same mental leaps the way she can,” Fury acknowledged.

“I know. She never mentioned her suspicion Thursday. After a bit of silence as Bianca thought about it, she agreed not to look for the rapist and to stay away from the bars.”

“So, what has you worried about that?” he asked.

“For one thing, I don’t know if I believe her. She sounded and appeared sincere, but given how adamant she was a few days prior, I can’t trust the change in her. I asked Mishap if he did, and he acknowledged he wasn’t sure either.”

“So, we keep an eye on her. Shadow placed those cameras in her apartment using the key Mishap gave him. And the tracker program was put on her car and laptop. We’ve taken steps to keep her safe. Do you think we should do more? If so, what?” Fury asked.

“Hell if I know, but the thought of her putting herself in danger is making me crazy,” I confessed.

Fury studied my face, then he hit me with a question. “Is the fact she might place herself in danger the only thing that is driving you crazy?”

I swallowed the knot in my throat before I answered him.

“No, it’s not the only thing. She’s got me thinking about her constantly, Fury. I can’t get through my workday without her popping into my head multiple times. And it’s the same in the evening and worse at night. My sleep is crap. It’s interfering with my normal life.”

“What is it you think about? Interfering how?”

I glanced around us to be sure no one was close enough to overhear me. They weren’t, though I caught a few of the women watching us. I put my hand up to shield my mouth. I wasn’t sure any of them could read lips, but I wasn’t taking the chance.

“I think about how sexy, beautiful, smart, kind, and strong she is. I have erotic dreams where I have to take care of myself afterward. I want her. But she’s Mishap’s cousin.

Family members of brothers are off-limits.

I can’t go there with her. As for how it’s interfering, other women don’t interest me.

The idea of fucking them makes me sick.” I rushed to explain.

With it out there, I felt the knot in my stomach ease, but it wasn’t gone.

“I knew it! I fucking knew by the way you watched her and the hovering close when she was here that you were interested in her,” Fury said happily.

“How can you be so happy about it!? It doesn’t matter if I am. She’s in the no-go zone. I can’t screw her, and then dump her,” I hissed.

“You’re right, you can’t. But have you stopped to think that the reason you can’t forget her is that Bianca will be more than a piece of ass for you?”

I stared at him with my mouth open, blinking as I attempted to sort out what he meant. My brain felt like it was a blender. Jumbled thoughts and flashing images of Bianca filled my head.

“Think about it. You clearly find more than her body and face attractive, though God knows they are.”

A soft, low growl erupted out of me at his words. Fury smirked.

“See, you don’t like me saying that. Since when would you care?

We’ve all fucked the same chicks and never got possessive or upset over it.

You said yourself you find her smart, strong, and kind.

You’re worried about her, and I think it’s more than just as a human being or her cousin’s club brother.

You’re having sexual thoughts but unwilling or unable to perform with other women.

“Why don’t we conduct an experiment? You try to take one of the women in here back to a crash room to get your rocks off.

If you can without difficulty, then Bianca is nothing more than fuckable.

But if you can’t, then I say you should consider pursuing her with the intention of making her more than a friend with benefits.

Maybe Bianca is your future old lady,” Fury concluded.

I sat there letting what he said sink in.

And while I wanted to dismiss his words, I couldn’t.

I think I already knew, deep down, that Bianca might be more than a casual bed partner.

And I hadn’t known if I should attempt to find out.

There was the dilemma of Mishap and what if it turned out to be nothing?

I refused to drive a wedge between my club brother and me.

Yet, if Fury was correct, I owed it to myself to find out.

I had never been opposed to having an old lady.

Yeah, sure, in my twenties, I’d been more than content to party, ride, and fuck as the mood struck.

But as I got into my thirties, I began to wonder if there was more.

Watching the guys in the other clubs settling down rattled me.

But when Wrath met and claimed Jalisa, and then Shadow found Cambria, I admitted I wanted what they had.

But only if I found the right woman. Making just anyone my old lady held no appeal for me.

I don’t know how long I sat there, saying nothing, and Fury waited calmly beside me. Finally, I roused myself.

“Alright, I’ll do it. I need to know.”

“And if you can’t perform, what will you do next?” he asked.

“First, I’ll need to find out whether Bianca has any interest in me.

If she does and wants to explore a relationship with me, then I'll go to Mishap and let him know. I refuse to sneak around behind his back. If he objects, I’ll find a way to change his mind.

Once I have his blessing, we’ll go from there. ”

“What if Mishap says no?”

I narrowed my eyes. “He can’t say no. He can argue and even issue a beatdown once, but I won’t let him stop us. He can have his say, but he won’t dictate our lives.”

Fury reached over and gripped my shoulder. He squeezed it hard, then patted my back.

“I believe you know what you have to do, brother. Is there anything I can do to help?”

“Yeah, if I fail, keep the alcohol coming for the foreseeable future,” I muttered.

Fury gave me a sympathetic look. We sat there together, talking about nothing important until we finished our drinks. Then, I stood, excused myself, and went to find a woman to test myself with. I wanted the question answered tonight.

?

After I left Fury, I spent twenty minutes scoping out the available women.

In addition to the four club bunnies, there were six women from the local area.

I got encouraging glances, was asked to join a couple of them, and most of them flirted with me.

Finally, I made my selection. I decided to go with AnnMarie.

She had a different vibe than the others.

She wasn’t pushy, and her calm demeanor made me feel she wouldn’t be high maintenance.

Plus, I noticed how the hangers treated her.

They scanned her up and down, sneering. AnnMarie wasn’t dressed as revealingly as the others.

Her brown hair hung straight to her shoulders.

She didn’t tease it or spray it until it was crunchy.

Her face wasn’t plastered in makeup. Her body wasn’t an hourglass or a stick with fake tits.

Her body was natural, a little heavier on her lower half than on her upper.

I liked the frankness in her narrow hazel eyes and the sweetness of her voice.

She didn’t use fake spray tans that made her look orange or lie in the sun for hours baking herself.

She had pale skin with redness on her cheeks that wasn’t from blusher.

Her skin allowed her numerous tattoos to stand out.

She had them on her ring finger, both shoulders, back, and ribs.

Our discussion of tattoos was enjoyable.

We talked when she first came to the club. Not only had she told me about caring for her dad, but she had also told me how she had no help other than the lady who came in on Friday and Saturday. Her two older brothers were absent. They never offered to help with their dad.

AnnMarie gave off a lone wolf vibe. She was quiet and didn’t seem to like to stand up for herself.

I’d seen her walk away from anyone trying to be ugly.

But I sensed that if someone went after children or someone she cared about, she’d turn into a mama bear.

The quiet ones were the ones you had to watch out for.

It was all these things that made me choose her.

If anyone out of this group had a chance of getting me off, I thought it would be her.

And deep down, I knew that she reminded me a tad of Bianca.

It was her strength. Maybe that was the key.

I need someone with a little more depth than my usual fucks.

Knowing it was now or never, I caught her gaze.

“You wanna come with me to one of the rooms?” I asked.

Her cheeks reddened, which was unusual for a bunny. But she smiled and nodded as she answered.

“Yeah, I’d like that,” she said softly.

I took her hand and led her out of the room.

I noticed the furious looks she got from some of the other women.

I ignored them. I stopped at the door of the first crash room.

I knocked, waited for a beat or two, then turned the knob.

It moved freely, and the door swung open.

If anyone was in there, they should’ve locked it.

Relief. It was empty. I tugged her inside and made sure to shut and lock the door.

I let go of AnnMarie’s hand. She walked over to the bed and turned to face me.

Her hand came up to her top, then froze.

“Do you want me to undress, or do you want to do it?” she asked.
