The whole finance department is a shit show. Wells heard a rumor that our CFO is on a short list for a new start-up founded by a few of his tech buddies. What is it going to take for you to consider coming to Lux and helping out? For real. Tell me what you need.
Me
To just consider it?
Jack
Yes. That’s all I’m asking.
Me

…What favor were you going to text me about?
Me
I want to take Harlow to see the Northern Lights this fall. It’s a dream of hers, so I thought I could surprise her with a once-in-a-lifetime getaway. Do you still have that place in Iceland?
Jack
Yeah, there are a few producers and a recording facility there we custom built for them. I can have Jett look into it, not sure what’s all booked for recording. When are you thinking?
Me
The internet says fall until early spring, so maybe late this fall?
Jack
I’ll have Jett follow up with you directly—but only if you promise to consider joining us, for real. I need people I can trust, Ryan. This last month was just fucking insane.
