33. Chapter 33 #2
“Enough! You three will go to the living room right now!” The words aren’t necessarily screamed, but there is a feeling in my chest when I say them, something I haven’t felt before.
Before I can see what they do, my vision turns completely white.
I stare down the hall, not seeing anything for a second, then I see the meadow.
I’m not in my wolf form, strangely, I’m also not alone.
I’m standing there with my mates and a group of people I’ve never seen before.
As I look around my meadow, one of the women I don’t know steps into the middle of the random groups of people.
“Welcome everyone. I’m so glad you all could make it. We are ready to start to spell now. Will the representatives please step forward?Alphas, form a circle around us.”
My feet move of their own accord and I see three other women step forward as well.
As we clasp hands, my vision turns white again.
The meadow fades as magic starts swirling around us.
Blinking, I switch from seeing the meadow to seeing the hall again.
Skylar, Mandy, and Charles are all surrounding me.
I’m in Skylar’s arms and I can hear his panicked voice hollering for the rest of the guys in the house.
Thunderous footsteps ring out and I’m trying to find out what is going on.
“Becca, please! Talk to me, Sweetheart, what's wrong?” Charles has his hands on my cheeks. I can see tears in Mandy’s eyes and Skylar is sounding more and more distressed as he calls for everyone else, even though I can see them in the hall now.
“August, James, something is wrong, she needs to get to the hospital!”
Before anyone can freak out even more, I speak up. “I’m fine. I’m fine. I think I just had a vision of the future. Seriously, I’m a bit confused but I’m fine.”
The group as a collective takes a deep breath. Mandy steps around Charles, nudging him back away from me. He doesn’t move much, but he does slide back enough that Mandy can stand in front of me too. She takes in my face, looking hard at my eyes and breathing a relieved sigh at whatever she sees.
“I need you to tell us what happened, Becca. Quickly because the Coven is here.”
I don’t waste time trying to think about it or argue that it can wait, I just tell them everything as it happened.
I explained that my vision was white, then I could see my meadow but I wasn’t a wolf and there were other people there.
I tell them what the strange woman said and about how we all stepped forward.
I even told them about the magic I saw swirling around us before the vision faded away.
As the explanation finishes, the doorbell rings out.
“We can dissect this all later, but for now, everyone but Charles, Mandy, and Skylar needs to go back to what you were doing. Skylar, put me down.” He set me gently down onto my own two feet.
I straighten out my clothes and tilt my head up.
Grabbing Mandy’s hand, I head to the door as if nothing is wrong.
Skylar and Charles follow us to the door, neither of them saying anything.
I can feel the tension between the guys, but I don’t think the Coven will be able to tell.
I glance at Mandy quickly, seeing she is smiling at me.
She waves to the door, indicating that I should open it.
I smile back at her, and pull open the door.
Standing on the doorstep is a beautiful woman, a strangely familiar looking woman.
Her hair is close to my color, but a tad bit more blonde.
Her eyes are the same bright green shade as mine and she is only a few inches taller than I am.
She smiles when she sees me and something in my chest seems to click into place.
One of the three guys behind her shifts, pulling my attention to them.
All three of them are big, but nowhere near as big as Skylar, who is my smallest mate.
They look like they may be triplets. All three of them have light blonde hair and tan skin.
They are wearing white button up shirts and black jeans that compliment the woman’s white tea dress with black skulls on it.
Each of them are subtly touching the woman, not trying to block her, but also making sure they are close enough to be helpful if needed.
“Charlotte, it's so good to see you again!” Mandy leans forward and hugs the woman and warmth spreads across my chest. “This is my daughter, Rebecca, we call her Becca. Please, you and your mates come inside and sit down, the boys should have some snacks for us to munch on while dinner is finishing up.”
I wave at the woman, unable to find any words yet and step back so our guests can get through the door.
The woman smiles warmly at me and as she walks by, one arm still holding Mandy around the waist, she latches onto my hand and drags me with them to the living room.
I get the impression that she and Mandy are friends and she has been here a time or two because she has no problems finding the living room.
Her mates greet Skylar and Charles as if they’ve known each other for years, I even hear one of them congratulate Skylar for finding his mate and earning the Lead Alpha position.
We sit down on the couch, me resting between the two other ladies. Mandy takes my hand in hers and squeezes it gently. I assume she is trying to calm my nerves, but I oddly don’t have any anymore. I feel comfortable with everyone here, even if I don’t really know them yet.
“So, Becca, you look just like your mother. I’m Charlotte, your mom and I are sisters. I’m so sorry that I didn’t know about you until now, and that you had to go through so much before I found you. I don’t know how I’ll ever forgive myself for losing track of my sisters for so long.”
Oh, that makes sense, she looks familiar because she looks a bit like my mother.
I can see it now that she has said something.
Wow, I have an aunt … and she is a witch.
I have so many questions, but I don't voice any of them, letting her say what she needs to.
I do feel like I need to set her mind at ease about one thing.
“There is no need for your apology. These last few months have been a lot, but I don’t regret anything that has happened. My life has gone the exact way the Moon Goddess intended and I wouldn’t take any of it back and risk not meeting my mates, my new family, or my wolf. I love them all.”
She smiles at me and gently pulls me to her side for a hug before speaking again.
“I’m sure you have lots of questions, but let me tell you my side of the story, then you can ask all the questions.
We have all night to get this worked out so we can move forward and have the relationship we always should have. ”
I nod my head and wait for her to tell me everything.
