6. Luciano #3
“It doesn’t matter where I’m staying. It’s none of your business, in fact. So why don’t you run home to your wife or whoever Lacey is and leave me alone?”
Both Alessandro and I stare at her, our eyes narrowed. She really needs her ass spanked, and I’m pretty sure he’s thinking the same thing.
“Did you hear that?” I smirk at Alessandro. “Fallon thinks it’s none of my business where she stays tonight.”
Alessandro watches her, his blue-gray eyes sparkling with amusement. “I heard her. Too bad everything is our business. Especially Little girls who obviously have no self-preservation.”
Fallon gasps and lifts her nose. “Excuse me, but I am a grown-ass woman who doesn’t need a bunch of gangsters in my business, thank you very much.
I told you I would pay you back for the damages to your car.
If that isn’t good enough for you, I don’t know what to tell you.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m calling a car service and leaving. ”
I wait while she digs through her purse and pulls out her phone, then taps the screen several times before she remembers that it’s dead.
“Fuck,” she murmurs. “Whatever. I’ll find a payphone. Goodbye.”
She spins around to leave but is stopped in her tracks when Angelo’s enormous frame blocks her. She tries to step around him, but he moves with her, his face hard as stone when she glares up at him.
“Move it, beast, before I bite you again.”
Reaching out, I snatch her wrist and yank her against me, ignoring the men standing around us. With her body pressed against mine, I lean down and whisper in her ear.
“Little girls who bite get their asses spanked. Now, be a good fucking girl and get back in the SUV before I put you in there myself. I will drive you wherever you need to go.”
I nudge her toward the car we arrived in, keeping hold of her arm. “You guys can take the other SUV. I’ll see that Fallon gets to where she needs to. I’ll call you in the morning.”
Alessandro chuckles and nods. “Nice to meet you, Fallon.”
She turns and scowls at him. “The pleasure wasn’t mine.”
Alessandro bursts out laughing as he follows Angelo and Luca to the other Escalade. I can’t help but grin as I walk her to the front passenger side of my car and open the door. God, she has a mouth on her. One I’d like to slide my dick into.
“Get in,” I instruct much more firmly than I’m feeling at the moment.
There’s a lightness within me that I don’t recognize. It’s uncomfortable. I can’t remember the last time I was alone with a woman who wasn’t family or a friend’s wife. My dick is in overdrive around Fallon.
“Luciano, I don’t want a ride. Will you leave me alone? I don’t need you playing superhero, or whatever you’re trying to do right now.”
Fallon’s deep green eyes stare up at me, her arched eyebrows scrunched together.
This woman hates me. Yet I can’t stop looking at her in total awe of her beauty.
She’s perfect, even with her messy bun, simple black leggings, and printed T-shirt with the picture of a blond guy with the name Alex Warren below it.
I’m pretty sure he’s a singer, though I can’t say I’ve heard anything he’s recorded.
The guy looks young. Just like her fuck-ass ex.
Is that the type of man Fallon likes? Men her age? Or would she prefer someone more mature? Someone who will take charge and never have her worrying about anything again. Not a shitty car or worrying about her man cheating. Someone to be her Daddy.
“Why are you being so difficult, princess? Is it because you don’t trust me? Or do you think I’m going to do something to you? I’m a man of very few morals, but hurting women emotionally or physically is one of the things I would never do. I respect women too much to ever do that.”
Fallon scoffs and runs her free hand over her face while I keep hold of her other wrist. She’s already proven she’s a runner, and I’m not in the mood to chase her again tonight. Maybe some other time, though.
“Then let me go! Then you can go home to your wife, and we can forget we ever met.” She tries to pull free, but I tighten my grip.
Without warning, I grab her wide hips and lift her into the passenger seat. Then I lean in so we’re face-to-face, and my hands are on either side of her, boxing her in.
“Let’s get one thing clear right now, princess, so listen carefully. I don’t have a wife. Or a girlfriend. Or even a fuck buddy. I’m completely single. Lacey is my cousin. She’s the only woman who calls me.”
Fallon’s chest rises and falls quickly as if she’s gone on a jog, her eyes studying mine so closely I just know she’s looking for any hint of a lie.
I move my face closer to hers so we’re only inches apart.
I’m struggling not to close the gap all the way, but instead, I say, “I don’t know what kind of men you’ve had in your life until now, but don’t put me in the same box as them.
I don’t cheat, and I don’t lie. I’m not that asshole you just left.
And quite fucking frankly, I don’t know why you were with him in the first place because he’s not even in your fucking league. ”
