Chapter Six

Come Monday morning, Gabriel had already solved some problems. First, her change of clothes, because going into work in his clothes was not going to be ideal. Sunday evening, he had a delivery of clothes from a very expensive boutique. Nora was never going to be able to afford them, but he insisted. Of course he did. Not that she could argue with him. It was either wear the clothes he provided, or wear the same ones she had on Saturday. That was not going to happen.

A whole new wardrobe was provided for her at his apartment, along with shoes and the relevant lingerie.

In the morning, she made coffee, cooked their breakfast, and Gabriel drove them to work. She usually walked home, took a taxi, or the bus. Most often, it was walking. Recently, Gabriel had been taking her home.

Now, as she stood in the mail room, sorting out her cart, she felt her cheeks start to heat. Before they left his apartment, Gabriel had reached beneath her skirt and felt the panties she wore. He removed them and placed them in his pocket. According to him, if she wanted them back, she was to hand-deliver the mail to him. Nora didn’t know how she was going to do that seeing as she always handed them to Trudy.

She couldn’t believe she was at work and not wearing underwear. It seemed completely absurd for her not to wear any lingerie. Well, she was in her bra, but no panties.

Each time she went to the bathroom and was alone, she tried to see if there was a way of anyone knowing. This was crazy. She was going to lose her mind at this rate.

Either way, her cart was full, the mail room was in working order, and the staff were happy. It was rare for her to enjoy this kind of peace. Before she got this position, the mail room always seemed in a state of panic.

Moving to the elevator, she clicked the button that would take her to the top floor. This made her nervous. She never used to be nervous about going to see Trudy. The woman was a dream and so easy to talk to.

Her stomach started to tense as she got to the final floor, and then the bell tolled. She thought she was going to be sick.

Trudy was an observant woman, and there was no doubt she probably already knew something was going on. Stepping out of the elevator, she wondered if she would see disapproval on her face. Disappointment maybe?

There was no Trudy at her desk. Nora hesitated. This was unusual. When she delivered mail, Trudy was always at her desk, ready to receive it. This made no sense.

That meant there was only one place she could go—Gabriel’s office.

She took a deep breath. This was fine.

They had sex over the weekend. He took her virginity and they had sex multiple times. She was a little sore, but it wasn’t a bad kind of pain. It was all fine.

She stepped toward the door, expecting to find Gabriel either not there or busy, or perhaps on a phone call. He was in his chair, leaning back with this smirk on his face.

“Uh, Trudy is not at her desk,”

she said, stating the obvious.

“Running important errands for me. Is that mail for me?”

She had no idea how to react. She had seen this man naked. Had been up close and personal with him. She’d felt him inside her. There were technically no secrets between them. Yet, their relationship, at her own request, was secret. She didn’t want anyone to know.

In fact, this morning, over coffee, she had checked the employee handbook, and there was no mention of internal relationships. In fact, there was a side note that stated any turmoil in internal relationships was to be handled outside, and not to be dealt with inside working hours. If they broke these rules, both sides jobs would be terminated. It sounded fair. In a strange way.

Nora hadn’t known of anyone to lose their job through a breakup. Technically, her and Gabriel’s relationship was completely fine. Apart from the fact he was the boss and deserved someone better. Someone who had money and possibly a title.

Pulling out of her thoughts, she nodded her head and stepped forward. “Yes, yes, this mail is for you.”

She was more than aware of her panty-less state. She handed the mail over to him across his desk. He didn’t take it, and instead raised a brow at her, and she knew what he wanted. Of course, she knew what he wanted. It would be crazy not to know what he wanted.

Nora couldn’t help but glance behind her.

“We will not be interrupted,”

Gabriel said.

She had no doubt of him. Still, this was work, and to her, they were already breaking boundaries. Boss and employee seemed like a big boundary break.

Even though her nerves were getting the better of her, she found herself moving around the desk and getting closer to him. She held out the mail, and Gabriel didn’t take it. His hand touched the inside of her knee. She couldn’t help but swallow as he slowly moved beneath the skirt and didn’t stop even once as he cupped her pussy.

Nora tried to convince herself to be cold, or made of steel, or iron, but the moment he touched her pussy, she was nothing but weak. She closed her eyes and let out a moan as a single finger slid between her pussy. He groaned, and she clenched her hands, scrunching up the mail in the process.

He stroked a single finger across her clit, but then slid it down, going toward her entrance, and he pressed it deep inside her, making her moan. She couldn’t hold back, not that she wanted to.

He had complete control over her. There was nothing she could do. She was putty in his hands. Weak.

He added a second finger. “I love how wet you are.”

“Gabriel?”

she asked, not quite sure what she was asking for, but then he shocked her by pushing the chair out from the desk, and moving her toward him.

He lifted her skirt, and she heard the unmistakable sound of his zipper. Nora gripped hold of the desk in front of her, and Gabriel didn’t need any help as he lowered her onto his cock.

She was still so sensitive, but it felt so good feeling him slowly pull her onto his cock. His name spilled from her lips. He growled and she whimpered as he hit the hilt deep inside her. She closed her eyes and couldn’t believe this was happening.

“We need to stop,” she said.

“Hell, no. Do you have any idea what it has been like all morning thinking about you? Knowing you’re not wearing any panties and waiting for you to come to me? I’ve been so fucking hard and it’s time for my cum to sink deep inside your cunt,”

he said with a groan.

She loved what he said and knew she should hate it at the same time.

He lifted her up, and even though she couldn’t see him, just as he couldn’t see her, it felt more intense.

Gabriel was hard, and he rocked inside her, working her body over his cock. At first, she couldn’t think. Could only fear Trudy coming back, or someone from one of the other floors needing his attention, and that she couldn’t stand. She didn’t want to panic.

But feeling his cock stroke her pussy, working his length deep inside her cunt, all fear faded away.

Gabriel held onto her hips, and she knew he was not going to let her get hurt. Even though he was a complex man with so many different layers to his person, she had a feeling he didn’t want to cause her pain. Unlike some people in her life.

She knew this was not going to be forever. Gabriel didn’t do forever, and she refused to get her heart broken in believing this was more than just sex. She accepted that and was only going to enjoy this for as long as it lasted.

He growled her name, and she felt him come, spilling deep inside her. She was on the pill—which she had gotten on when she was younger to regulate her cycle—but she knew she had to go to her apartment to get them. A baby was not an option.

Nora was about to get up, but Gabriel was not done with her. With his cock still balls-deep inside her, he started to stroke her clit. She didn’t think she would be able to find release, but Gabriel was not a man to be swayed. He pushed her to the edge, and then sent her right over.

She should know by now, Gabriel got exactly what he wanted.

****

Gabriel saw it was a little after five-thirty and he was waiting for the building to empty. He didn’t need to keep his intentions secret but he would do so for Nora. Just thinking about her messed with his head. He couldn’t get her out of his thoughts.

“I will see you tomorrow,”

Trudy said, coming to stand in the doorway of his office.

He looked up and nodded. “See you tomorrow.”

Trudy continued to stare at him, and he sat back, looking at her. He had known her for years and knew it was only a matter of time before she spoke her mind.

“Your grandfather would have liked Nora,”

Trudy said.

He had no doubt the woman before him was already aware of his relationship with Nora. That woman didn’t miss a thing. She was paid not to.

“Do you?”

“Yeah, she’s a good, honest, hardworking woman. She’s not after your money, but I am curious. The secrecy, your idea or hers?”

Gabriel knew he could just dismiss her, but Trudy was the closest thing he had to a mother and a best friend. It was sad, he knew that, but at a young age, he learned loyalty was rare.

“Hers,”

Gabriel said.

“Does that bother you?”

“No.”

“Why does she want it to be a secret?”

Trudy asked.

“I’m the boss. She’s not exactly comfortable dating the boss.”

Trudy smiled. “I like this woman more and more. So, are you going to keep pretending she is just a fling?”

“Trudy, don’t.”

She held her hands out. “You and I both know your grandfather would have wanted you married and settled down by now. Nora’s a good woman. I’ve seen the details we have on her. She was hit hard in life and at a young age, and yet she’s still a nice person. The streets didn’t toughen her up too much.”

“Nora’s not ready for marriage. She is not ready to be my wife.”

“Are you ready to be her husband?”

Trudy asked. “Marriage is a two-way partnership, and you both need to be ready.”

“Go home, Trudy.”

She winked at him, and then turned to leave. He expected her to go, but he should have known Trudy to have the last say.

“Just, one thing, I am going to keep reminding you that marriage is not a scary concept. I know everyone makes it out to be a prison and all the fun is squashed out of it, that you’re with the same person you will come to hate, but it is not always like that. Some marriages, the right ones, married for the right reasons, work. I know I love my husband more now than when we were first married. I’d die for him, and I’d live for him as well. Don’t be afraid of that kind of commitment.”

With that, she turned and left.

Gabriel was not thinking of marriage, even if Trudy was.

Nora was happy keeping things secret, and he was busy looking into how she lost everything. He had a private detective looking into the paperwork.

Her aunt and uncle had a very cushy life off Nora’s father’s work. They owned full copyright and all that shit. Something didn’t add up, and he was going to get to the bottom of it. For now, all he had to do was wait a couple of minutes and then he was going to get Nora and leave with her.

He couldn’t help but think about her and how amazing she looked riding his cock. It was like she was designed to be seated on his dick.

His grandfather had only made one true request from him, when he gave the money to start this company. When the time was right, he was not to be a dick to the woman who was going to have his children. Nora wasn’t even pregnant, but he knew the chances increased every time he came inside her. He kept promising himself he was going to get a condom, but the moment he was near her, all bets were off. It was like he couldn’t keep his hands off her, not that he wanted to. She was a dream. His dream. The woman he wanted more than anything.

Running a hand down his face, he didn’t know where any of this was coming from. Maybe he felt responsible because she was a virgin. He’d never been a woman’s first before. Marriage. Children. Why did Trudy have to bring that shit up? He didn’t need to be thinking about any of that.

While his thoughts had been running wild, the time had passed, and it was now okay for him to head down to the mail room. Grabbing his jacket, he walked toward his elevator and then headed toward the mail room.

Marriage? It was not going to happen. He and Nora were just having fun.

Really? You’re going to keep telling yourself that.

He pressed his fingers to his eyes, attempting to clear his thoughts. Now was not the time to keep thinking about that.

The elevator doors opened, and he went in search of Nora. This time, he found her at her desk, going through some documents. The moment he was near, she looked up and smiled at him.

“Gabriel,” she said.

“Are you ready to leave?”

“Yeah, yeah, of course.”

He nodded toward her desk. “What’s that?”

“Oh, this is the order form for all the necessary stationery. I’m the one responsible for making sure the whole building doesn’t run out.”

She smiled at him. “I’ve already checked everything off, and tomorrow I’ll order what we need. Is everything okay?”

she asked.

Gabriel looked at her, and he was once again taken aback by how beautiful she was. That smile on her lips that wasn’t asking for anything else, and yet she so freely gave it. Not a lot of people were like that.

“Nothing,”

he said. “Actually, there’s something I want to ask you.”

“Ask away.”

“Are you on the pill?”

She tilted her head to the side and nodded. “Yeah, I am.”

“And you’ve been taking it?”

“Yeah. I mean, that first time, I thought I had left it at my apartment, but when I rummaged through my bag, I take it with me. I took it the moment I saw it.”

She frowned, holding out her bag. “Do you want to check?”

He knew if he checked, it would look like he didn’t trust her, and that wasn’t the case. He was used to people manipulating him. Doing their own shit for their own means.

Her cheeks looked a deeper shade of red. “Don’t you trust me?”

she asked.

“I trust you. I don’t need to see it.”

“We’ve not talked about … what we’re doing,”

she said, glancing down on the floor.

Fuck this. He didn’t give a fuck if she was pregnant, and that was the scariest truth out of everything. What he cared about was having a good time with Nora.

“Come here,” he said.

She stepped right into his arms and he kissed the top of her head.

“I trust you.”

And the strangest thing of all, he meant every word he said. He did trust her.

“Thank you. I trust you too.”

And she went on her tiptoes and kissed him back. “I don’t know what you expected, but I know what it is like to be let down by the people closest to you. I wouldn’t do that to anyone. I swear.”

He stared into her eyes, and all of Trudy’s words came rushing back to him. It was bullshit.

“Come on. I want to take you to dinner,” he said.

Gabriel did have every intention of taking her straight back to his apartment and fucking her brains out, then ordering takeout. However, he knew she was not a big fan of the whole takeout plan, so now he would treat her to dinner and then take her back to his place and fuck her brains out. The plan sounded great to him.
