Chapter 22

CADE

Cade woke with Faye’s twin moons cupped in his hands, his cock stiff under her thigh. Her slender form lay on top of his body, her head nestled against his shoulder. He inhaled her scent.

Mine.

He hardly believed it.

The night before when he’d heard she’d been off fighting the sea witch, he’d turned wolf on the spot, shredding his clothes and tearing out to “rescue” her.

But his little fairy had handled herself like a champion, wand in air, magick lighting up her entire body so it glowed.

He’d loved seeing her excitement and growing confidence in her abilities.

And foolish though it may be, he felt a fierce pride in knowing he had been the one to ignite her powers. He’d been her first, the one she chose despite her fears of losing everything. He squeezed her gorgeous buns and she rolled her pelvis over his, lifting her head.

He groaned, his cock aching. Her face broke into a wicked, knowing smile, pushing her torso up and wiggling her ass over his cock.

He marveled at her confidence—the girl who had never had sex before yesterday seemed quite sure of herself now.

As if reading his thoughts, she leaned forward, eyelids at half-mast, and wrapped her slender hands around each bicep, as if holding him down.

He grinned. “Are you dominating me?”

“Mmm-hmm. Do you like it?”

He popped his hips into the air, bucking her. “Show me what you got, little fairy.”

“I’ll show you.” Her voice dripped with honey. She shocked him by lifting her hips and sitting right on his cock without preamble, managing to slide it inside her with no hands.

“Oh, fate!” he growled.

“Uh-huh.” She rocked her hot sex over his cock. “You like that?”

“Yes!” he gasped. He wanted to grab her and take charge, yank her hips back and forth while he thrust up into her, but he enjoyed her sex kitten act too much to interrupt.

She continued rocking, lifting her breasts in the air, her long waves falling back.

He closed his eyes, tempering his breath, trying to enjoy the sensations without demanding more.

Faye shifted her pace, discovering a forward and backward glide.

It must have provided stimulation on her clit because she dug her fingernails into his arms, picking up her speed to frenzied motion, a pre-orgasmic look of panic showing on her face.

He grasped her hips to help, urging her on until she threw both arms in the air and the bed lifted off the ground while she shuddered around him.

She flopped back down on his chest. “Did you—?”

“Not yet,” he said.

“Oh, well.” She lifted her head, looking confused. “Um…”

He grinned. “Don’t worry. I’ll take it when I want it. Or have you forgotten?”

She nuzzled against him. “Forgotten what?” There was a contented purr in her voice.

“Forgotten you belong to me?”

She shook her hair out of her face and peered at him. “So how exactly does this work? Are we… like, married? Or I’m your girlfriend now? Or what?”

He rolled their bodies together so he lay on top, pinning her beneath him. “You’re my everything. My mate, my lover, my girlfriend, my wife, my slave…”

She bit his arm at the last word. “So am I moving in with you?”

He grinned. “Yeah, you’re moving in. And since you owe me that three thousand dollars, I figure you can spend three thousand days and nights as my slave. After that, it’s negotiable.”

“Three thousand days!” she protested, wriggling beneath him as if she could wrestle him off. “No way! Maybe three thousand hours. Maybe.”

“Come on, I know you liked it as much as I did.”

She stopped squirming and gazed up at him. “But what about when you go on tour? What then?”

He wasn’t sure what she wanted to hear. “You’ll come with me?”

She relaxed on the pillow, her hair fanning out from her face. “Will you tell all your groupies you’re married?”

“I’ll tattoo your name as a band on my ring finger.”

She giggled. “So you can never take it off?”

He kissed her nose. “That’s right. Now spread your legs and open for your master.”

She obeyed, though he thought he saw a hint of fear in her expression. “Are you sore?” he asked as he lowered his head to flick his tongue over her nipple.

“A little.”

“Too bad.” He entered her, hoping she knew he didn’t mean it, “because when you’re my slave, you get fucked until you can’t walk straight.”

His words had their desired effect: she arched to meet his thrust, her pussy growing wetter as her head fell back.

He slid one hand under her ass, squeezing his favorite part of her as he plunged in and out.

Not truly wanting to hurt her, he allowed his release to come quickly, giving a shout of victory before burying his face in her hair.

They showered and dressed, going downstairs to join Bertram and his entourage for the breakfast buffet. “This is Jillian.” His cousin presented his mate when they arrived. “Jillian, this is my cousin Cade and his mate, Faye.”

The young woman shook Faye’s hand and then stared at him. “You were the other silver wolf, weren’t you?”

He grinned, touching his ear cuff. “What gave me away?”

She flushed. “I can see the family resemblance. So, are you guys in a pack or something?”

“No,” he said. “I’m a lone wolf.”

“Hey!” Faye interjected, elbowing him.

“Well, I was a lone wolf. Now I’m in a pack of two.” He stole a quick kiss.

“He’s too alpha to be in my pack, and I don’t like to rough up family just to prove a point.” Bertram grinned.

They took their plates through the line, helping themselves to the delicious food.

No wimpy continental breakfast would be served in a Wolfe establishment.

No, heaps of steaming bacon and sausage stood on warmed platters, along with scrambled eggs, diced potatoes with rosemary, and a make-it-yourself waffle station.

Faye piled her plate as high as he did, and he grinned at her appetite, wondering how she would eat when he got her pregnant with wolf pups.

Jake and the hot redhead, Coral, came into the dining room, looking as if they were attached at the hip, too. He supposed Spa NK really was a fantasy island of sorts. Redd trotted down the stairs after them, snapping her gum.

Faye hugged her two new friends, and the entire group sat at a long table together to eat. The room filled with boisterous talk, everyone smiling, the sense of joy and affection seeming to possess the entire group.

But then Pino approached, looking agitated and holding one dainty female slipper. “Perdonami, Signore Wolfe, ma Cindy non è da nessuna parte.”

“Whoa, whoa. What are you saying?” Bertram stopped the frantic porter. The table had gone dead silent, everyone leaning in to hear the trouble.

“Oh, mi dispiace. è solo che.…” He shook his head as if jarring it might help the right language come out. “Cindy is missing! All I found was her shoe in the snow outside!”

In a flash the group surged to their feet, every one of them a warrior in their own right, prepared to assist.

“Cindy!” Faye gasped. “I knew something was wrong with her. And I’m her fairy godmother!” she exclaimed, as if the notion just occurred to her.

“I’ll go get my sword and meet you out front,” Jake said, one hand solicitously helping Coral to stand.

“Right behind you,” Redd said, dashing upstairs, presumably to don her red lycra fighting clothes.

“I’m coming, too!” Jillian said, eyeing Bertram as if daring him to tell her no.

“Okay, but only if you stay close to Faye, Redd, and Coral,” Bertram said.

The unlikely gang stalked out of the dining room, each looking fierce and determined in his or her own way, banding together to help one of their own.

It lifted Cade’s heart to feel their solidarity.

As much as he’d enjoyed being a lone wolf, his kind loved belonging to a pack, working for a common cause.

“You heard Bertram, right?” he asked Faye as he ducked into a hallway to pull off his clothing. “Girls stay together?”

“Yep. Girl power. I got it,” she said, pulling out her wand and waving it through the air.

“I know you do,” he said, giving her a quick kiss. “Let’s go find your goddaughter.”
