Chapter 4

“What?” shorty shouted, and even though it was too loud for my pounding head, the raspiness of her voice made my dick twitch.

“Mama, I’m gonna need you to take it down a notch. My head is thumping like a muthafucka.” I rubbed my temples even though I knew that wasn’t going to do shit. I had way too much to drink, and I paid for it as soon as I opened my eyes.

I felt the absence of her warm body as soon as she left the bed. That was the reason I had gotten up and ordered breakfast while she was in the bathroom.

“What do you mean I’m your wife, Boston?” She crossed her arms over her ample-sized breasts, and I couldn’t help but lick my lips.

Shorty was fine as fuck and thick. Thick like I needed both hands to grip any part of her body, and I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get the chance to the night before. I was drunk as hell, but not that drunk that I would take advantage of her or any other woman.

“What I mean is, you and I got married last night,” I said as I pointed between the two of us. It did sound unbelievable. I wasn’t even sure how my brother and my boys let it happen. They also knew when I had my mind made up about something, there was no changing it.

She looked like she was on the verge of passing out as she stood on the side of the bed.

Her hickory brown eyes traveled to the ring on her finger, then back to me.

I couldn’t help but stare at her. Ivy was beautiful, but Harvest was on a different level to me.

I knew exactly who she was from the moment I spotted her in the nightclub my brother and friends suggested we go to after I spiraled from reading the blog post on the Soleil Society page.

CEO of Brooks Records left at the altar. Homegirl fumbled the bag, but I’m sure some lucky lady will be right there to ease his pain. Good luck ladies.

It took no time for the world to know what happened, and it pissed me off all over again.

I also couldn’t get over the fact that I put so much time and money into the wedding for her to leave me the way she did.

She could have easily said something months prior.

I was embarrassed as hell, but my boys had my back.

My brother explained everything to the guests, even though they could see that Ivy hadn’t shown up.

We still let them eat and party at the reception, since everything was paid for, but we got up out of there because I didn’t want the pity or people asking me questions.

My brother assured my parents that I was good, and he would make sure of it.

Ivy’s parents were just shocked, and they said they had no idea that she would do that.

They apologized to me, but it wasn’t on them.

Ivy was a grown woman who made her own decision. Nobody was to blame but her.

That shit wasn’t important. Instead, I had to address the beauty in front of me. For her to be just as hungover as me, she looked too damn good.

Before I could answer her question, there was a knock at the door, and I assumed it was our food.

“Hold on, love. I ordered breakfast for us. We can eat, then talk about what happened. I’m sure you need to put something on your stomach after drinking last night. I know I need to.” I got out of bed and walked to the front of the suite to get our food.

Once I had the food, I took it into the room. Harvest was standing in the same spot I’d left her in. There was a table in there, so I placed the food on the table.

“Come sit down while I wash my hands,” I told Harvest. She hesitated for a second, but then she came over to where I was.

I went to the bathroom to relieve myself and wash my hands and face.

I hated that I waited to brush my teeth, but I decided to wait so my food didn’t taste weird.

I just rinsed my mouth out with water, and I would brush them after we ate.

I smiled when I went back into the room and Harvest had the food set up for us.

“You can eat as much as you want,” I told her as I sat in the chair next to her.

“Okay, thanks. I’m glad you ordered because I am hungry. Hopefully this food helps this headache.” She bowed her head and prayed over our food.

I liked the fact that she prayed before eating and wasn’t afraid to because she was in my company. Just another thing about her that turned me on.

“Now, can you explain to me how I’m your wife,” she demanded once she fixed her food the way she wanted.

“We got married in a chapel last night, Harvest. Your friends and mine were there.” I didn’t know shit about her except the fact that she was a model, but as soon as I spotted her, I was immediately drawn to her.

She and her friends were in a VIP section across from ours, and I watched her as they smoked.

Each time she blew smoke out of her mouth and nose, my dick jumped.

It was the sexiest fucking thing on Earth.

It wasn’t just the weed and drinks either; it was her.

I remembered seeing her model for a boutique and had been attracted to her since, but I was with Ivy.

I would never approach her, but I couldn’t deny her beauty.

Harvest was confident, and it showed by the way she moved on the dance floor.

She caught the eye of numerous men in the club, and I even saw a few of them approach her.

She entertained a few of them, but not for long.

“You know my name?”

I couldn’t help but chuckle.

“You think I would marry you and not know your name?”

She had trouble meeting my eyes, and I thought it was cute. It was obvious I made her nervous, especially when I saw her cheeks turn red. She bit a piece of her bacon and looked at me in disbelief.

“Of course I know you, Harvest Green the model. I’ve seen you plenty of times on social media and when you modeled for multiple people. The first time was when you did a lingerie photo shoot for Kinky by Lana. I also follow you on social media,” I told her the truth.

“That still doesn’t explain how I’m your wife.” She still held the ring in her hand. It seemed like she didn’t want to give it back, and I didn’t blame her. The shit cost me a grip, and it was beautiful.

“Not to sound like a creep, but after I watched you for a while and saw you turn down multiple guys, I decided to approach you. We talked, and I was intrigued by you. We even danced together for a little bit. We shared drinks and an edible or two. I mean, we were lit, but I knew exactly what I was doing when I suggested we get married.”

She shook her head and glanced down at the ring in her hand again.

“And my friends were okay with this?”

“Surprisingly, they were. They were our witnesses, along with my brother and my two best friends.”

“This is crazy. That’s so reckless of me. Boston, I—” She abruptly snapped her mouth shut. “I can’t believe this. I’m sure we could get this annulled, right?”

The way she said my name made we want to hear her say that shit repeatedly.

If I could, I would take her to the studio so I could record it and put it on a constant loop.

Hearing her say something about an annulment made my heart stop for a second.

I didn’t want to get an annulment. It was crazy, and I knew some things would be said about me, but I wanted to see how things went with us.

I’d never been so entranced by a woman before.

This was my opportunity to follow through with the little crush I had on her.

I already knew the backlash we both would get once word got out about us, but I didn’t care. I never cared what anybody had to say about me, and I wouldn’t start now.

“How about we stay married for thirty days?”
