20. Chapter Twenty
Chapter Twenty
Vivi
Light filters in, gently rousing me, and I crack my eyes open.
Three warm bodies surround me, and there are hands and arms everywhere. Someone is cupping my breast, another splayed between my legs, while yet another arm is hugging me tightly to a muscular chest.
But one thing is for certain—I need to pee. Now.
Wiggling back and forth, I try to move out of the embrace of my Alphas, amazed at how good I feel after so many days of non-stop knotting. I’m a bit sore, but not bad. The arm around me bands tighter when I attempt to escape, and a sweet purr rolls down my back.
“Where are you going, little flier?” Fox’s sleepy voice asks.
“Just to the bathroom.”
He releases me reluctantly, making me promise to return, and I scurry into the enormous ensuite. Holy crap. This bathroom may be bigger than my whole apartment.
The space is bright; silver and blue. It matches my eyes and my heart stutters. A pack-sized jetted tub sits along one wall, and next to it is a shower with more heads than I can count. The floor is warm under my toes, and I sigh at the sheer luxury of the space.
Wow!
I do my business and catch my first glimpse of myself in the mirror. Yikes. My hair is a wreck, and though my skin has marks, none of them are the bites I so desperately want to see. My eyes fill with tears, and desolation clogs my throat.
They’re mine. We belong together. And yet they didn’t claim me…because you asked them not to.
Regret coils around my chest, squeezing me until it’s suddenly hard to breathe. They were so wonderful during my heat. Kind, generous, not to mention hot as fuck. Any omega would be lucky to have them. But no. I told them not to bite me., What if they find someone better?
Reaching back, I run my finger over the crescent on my neck that identifies me as an omega. I’ve always endured it stoically, using it as a shield that made me determined to prove that my designation didn’t define me. But now all I want is to be coddled by my Alphas.
Pathetic. Weak.
For the first time, I realize how sticky I am, coated in their essence, their scents. My skin begs to be clean, yet I struggle with my instincts—warring with the anxiety that comes from washing away their scents. Without it what marks me as their omega?
Indecision builds inside me. Shower? Bath? Stay just as I am? The options are before me, and yet I stand in the middle of the bathroom, staring at my reflection, completely frozen.
My eyes fall to the mark on my neck. It’s a dark purple, but already fading around the edges.
“Next time, it’s going to be real.” Dash’s deep voice rasps behind me as his handsome face appears in the mirror over my shoulder. He bends forward, eyes dark as he lowers his mouth to the mark. Our gaze locks, and he scrapes his teeth against it, causing lust to bloom low in my belly. Tilting my head, I offer my neck, giving him better access, watching with rapt attention as he loves on the spot.
Mate. Safety. Comfort. Mine.
A sigh escapes me, and he draws back after rubbing his rough stubble against my cheek.
“Come on, little omega, let’s get clean,” he says with a grin. “Before I decide to take you again.”
“Shower time!” Ty sings, entering the gigantic bathroom with Fox hot on his heels. Rushing, they grab bottles and prepare the water before ushering me in.
Steam surrounds me along with the scents of my Alphas. Looking up at them, I still can’t believe this is happening—they’re mine. Between scenting them and being thrown into an early heat, I’ve had barely any time to process.
What will they want from me? Will they insist I quit cheer? Become a baby factory?
The color drains from my face, and I gulp, trying to hold down my panic.
“Whatever it is, little flier, we’ll figure it out together,” Fox promises, lathering his hands and coating me with white bubbles. He massages my arms, moving behind me to soothe all the stress from my shoulders.
His firm hands make me moan in pleasure as Dash moves forward to clean my front, paying special attention to my breasts, which become heavy in his hands as he brushes over my sensitive nipples.
Another pair of hands pamper me, kneading my scalp as they wash my hair. Ty.
A huge smile curls my lips. If this is pack life, then I’m all in.
“Now, that’s the way I want you to feel, baby girl. Nothing but happy. Gonna make it my life’s mission,” Ty vows, grabbing a handheld shower head to rinse out the shampoo before lathering my long tresses with conditioner.
They continue to care for me, spoiling me as I’ve never been spoiled before.
A girl could get used to this.
Pausing momentarily on the stairs, my knuckles whiten as I grasp the banister like my life depends on it. Snuggling Mako when I’m this anxious usually makes me feel better, but that little traitor ran off the second the guys said they were going downstairs to make some food.
“You’re fine. You can do this. Tell them you need to go to practice, and you aren’t quitting the team,” I mutter, trying to gather the courage to enter.
Alphas only want docile omegas, not competitive cheerleaders who want to win competitions and fly through the air. My hand trembles as I consider going back to a life without them.
That would fucking suck.
“Are you going to continue to loiter out there, or do you want something to eat?” Dash calls, and I bite my lip hard, crossing my arms defensively before stepping into the biggest, brightest kitchen I’ve ever seen.
Chrome appliances sparkle in the morning light, and floor-to-ceiling windows look out on a sparkling pool.
Sheesh, this place is amazing. Two of my apartments could fit in this kitchen.
Fox stands in front of me, hand reaching out. All I need to do is take hold. I scrutinize the offer for just a second before grabbing it, and he pulls me toward him, spinning me gallantly, and I can’t hold back my giggle as I smack into his big, warm body.
His arms curl around me, and all is right in the world as he lifts me onto the countertop, capturing my lips in a passionate kiss. Opening for him, Fox’s tongue slides smoothly against mine, and my nipples harden to sensitive points, which I rub against his chest, feeling the sensation run straight to my clit. My core throbs and slick soaks my panties.
“You’re supposed to be feeding her, not feasting on her,” Dash grumbles, breaking the moment. A blush heats my face, and my stomach growls eagerly as the scent of all the pastries reaches my nose.
“Jealous?” Fox teases, grabbing some nearby plates.
“Hell yes,” Dash agrees, taking one from his hand and moving toward an impossibly large buffet-style spread. “What are you in the mood for, Vivi?”
Piles of food fill the island, and with so many options, I don’t even know where to start. Thankfully, Dash takes charge, placing a veritable smorgasbord of different morsels on the dish and bringing it to the table. Sliding forward, I inch along the counter, ready to climb off, when strong hands grip my waist. Looking up, my gaze meets a pair of cheerful brown eyes.
“Let me?” Dash asks gently, and although I know I need to assert my independence, I nod. He scoops me up easily, bringing me to his chest, and a rumbly purr of contentment vibrates against me.
Home. Safe. Mate…Love?
“Tea or Coffee?” Ty asks.
“Coffee, please, very light and very sweet,” I request, overwhelmed by their doting. This feels so normal, too normal. And I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Dash brings me to the table, sitting down and holding me on his lap. But it’s too easy to get too comfortable, so I scoot off him and into a different seat. Yes. That’s right. I need to sit on my own damn seat—even if everything in me just wants to crawl right back into his lap. Dash’s jaw tightens slightly, but he doesn’t say a word, pushing the overfilled plate my way with a happy hum.
Ty brings my coffee to the table, dropping a quick kiss on my forehead before sitting down next to me.
“Dig in,” Dash prompts, as Fox sits directly across from me. A warm hand drops on my leg, giving it a squeeze, and I take a big bite of the cinnamon roll. The flavors burst on my tongue, and I can’t hold in my moan of pleasure. It’s absolutely delicious, and before I know it, I’ve inhaled every bite—I’m so much hungrier than I thought. Another appears on my plate, and I devour that too, unable to stop until my belly protests.
Finally sated, I lean back in my chair, sipping my coffee. I raise my eyes to find all three of them staring at me, wolfish grins on their faces.
“What?”
“Nothing, just like having you here,” Dash says, his hand sliding along my inner thigh, and I want to spread my legs and invite him higher. Yesss. No. Wait….
“I probably need to go back to my apartment, though—and I have practice… Shit, what day is it?” I say, panic racing through my blood. With my heat over, I need to get back ASAP. Who knows what the team’s been up to without me? And Nationals are just a few months away.
“It’s Tuesday, Vivi. Take a breath,” Dash coaxes, removing his hand to bring it to my cheek.
“Tuesday?!?” I shriek, realization crashing down on me. “Oh, my God, that means you all…”
