Chapter 14 The Regular Guest

A beauty lowered everyone’s guard. After they recognized each other, Herdanba became a constant guest at the villa.

Yin Xiu told him she was a princess of Dongxia. During a palace rebellion she had been saved by him while fleeing and had sworn to repay him with her body. She had searched through distant relatives but never found him.

She never expected her benefactor to be right in front of her.

Song Dalang added that the warrior his sister often spoke of was none other than Great King Danba. Beauties had always loved heroes. Truly a match made by heaven.

Herdanba was coaxed until he looked like an old rat that had fallen into a rice jar. He wanted to test her depths, but Yin Xiu kept pulling him back and forth.

The tug and pull between man and woman was endlessly entertaining.

I cared nothing for it. I only clutched my kitchen knife and asked Su Chengyu if it was time to stew whips.

Su Chengyu said Herdanba was in his prime and had no need for them yet.

I felt dissatisfied.

“I am still young. How many bowls of whip soup have I drunk for you? Have you counted?”

Su Chengyu looked surprised.

“I gave you those bowls so you could pour them out.”

I stared at him.

“???”
