Chapter 10 #2
Propping myself on the pillows resting against the headboard, I allowed my hand to drift to my cock, wrapping my fingers around my length and moving slowly from the base to the tip.
The pace quickly increased as I bucked into my hand, fisting the bed sheets as I imagined cradling myself between Summer’s spread thighs.
She was everywhere. Under me, her legs tightly wrapped around my waist as I plunged into her wet pussy.
Spread open on my couch, her fingers fisting my hair as I drove her to orgasm with my tongue.
Climaxing on my fingers, then my cock, as she begged me not to stop and whispered how good I felt inside her.
My heart raced as my thoughts centered on her, and I breathed out sharp gasps, feeling the blood roar in my ears and my balls draw up with the need to come.
Her mouth… Fuck. I imagined her licking her sweet lips before opening her mouth to tease me with her tongue. Running it over the head, licking the drop of precum that beaded on the tip before taking me to the back of her throat. I’d feel the vibrations as she hummed around my length.
My eyes were squeezed shut as my mind flashed images of me roughly picking her up and slamming her into the wall. I’d pin her there, plunging my length into her as her pussy clenched around me and she begged for more.
An animalistic sound erupted from my throat as I came. As each rope of my release landed on my stomach, it clenched, igniting every nerve in my body as I rode out each wave of pleasure. Fuck, it felt good. She felt good.
As I got my heart rate under control, guilt seeped into my veins, tarnishing the memory of her. I made my way to the bathroom to clean up, tossing the used washcloth to the floor and crawling into bed.
As I closed my eyes, I tried to push away the memory of her wrapped up in that silk robe, water droplets running down her face, but the image refused to budge.
What the hell are you doing, Maverick?
That shrill ring woke me again, and I groaned, turning on my stomach and pulling a pillow over my head.
It was Saturday, right? A day where I had nothing to do. No commitments or projects. Just me and Malibu lazing the day away.
Perhaps I’d grab my rod and try out the new lures over by the Isle of Palms Marina. Or get a head start on that book collecting dust on my nightstand. Maybe today was the day I’d get rid of that pile of scrap metal in my garage, then take fresh-cut flowers to the cemetery.
Not that I could ever bring myself to say anything to the cold slab of marble.
The phone rang again, and I sat up, scrubbing a hand down my face and reaching over to answer the blasted thing.
“What’s going on, Mark?” I asked, swinging my legs over the edge of the bed.
“I’m on puppy duty since Mom has that girls’ brunch today, but Eloise has an ear infection.”
“Fuck,” I grumbled, standing from the bed and twisting my shoulders until my back made several satisfying pops.
“Yeah, I know. You’ve taken the brunt of helping Mom lately, but baby girl has a fever and fusses the moment I put her down.”
“What time does the brunch start? I really don’t want to be over there with all the girls, but she did mention the other day that her back porch steps seemed loose.”
“You mean you don’t want to be doted on by all the pushy women in our family just dying to set you up with any chick with a pulse?”
I chuckled, checking the clock and letting out a sigh of relief when I realized there was plenty of time to get over there before her condo was infested with women.
“Just worry about the pups. I’ll check on those porch steps next week,” Mark said, as Eloise fussed in the background and he shushed her.
“Don’t sweat it, man. Just take care of your family.” I leaned down to scratch Malibu’s head, cradling the phone between my ear and shoulder.
“You are my family, idiot. Mom did mention how pretty Cam’s daughter is.”
“Cut it out, dick. I get enough from the rest of you. My youngest brother should at least pretend to understand my point of view.”
“Oh, I understand,” he said as I heard Eloise’s fussing get louder. “But you can’t blame me for giving you a hard time. It’s too easy sometimes.”
Coffee beckoned as I pulled on a pair of sweats and padded into the kitchen to turn on the machine. I was going to need more than one cup for this bullshit. “Don’t you need a favor? Shouldn’t you be kissing my ass?”
“Like you’d say no. I’ll take over for you next week, okay? The station has me on days, so it’ll be easy to stop by and see to those steps.”
“Sure. Thanks, Mark.”
“Don’t mention it. Talk soon.”
I grabbed the creamer from the fridge, leaning against the counter as I waited for the coffee to brew. How could I show my face at Mom’s condo knowing Summer was so close? I couldn’t ignore her, could I?
No. Yes.
Maybe I wouldn’t see her at all, and I could try to forget that dream even happened.
Not likely.
I scoffed as Malibu trotted into the kitchen, and I dropped to a knee to scratch behind her ears.
“Let me get coffee, then I’ll feed you, baby.
” She whined, and I sighed, standing with a wince as my back twinged.
I opened the refrigerator to grab her breakfast. “Okay, you win. Food before coffee. Want to come with me to Mom’s or spend the day watching squirrels from the window? ”
Her tail thumped on the tile floor, and she yipped, trotting over to her bowl and staring at it like she hadn’t had a decent meal in a decade.
“Right. Food. Sorry, sweetie. Then squirrels. We’ll go for a long walk by the lake later, okay? Then stop by the garage and finally talk about selling the mustang.”
I scooped food into her bowl, confident she’d agree with me if it wasn’t for her one-track mind.
Shaking my head, I poured myself coffee and headed back to the bedroom to shower, pretending my thoughts hadn’t already drifted back to Summer.
