Chapter 2
Cal Thomas found most weddings boring. Everyone always made a huge deal over the bride and the groom and everyone else sat around talking, drinking, eating, and occasionally dancing. But tonight’s wedding was very interesting.
Lillian Bradley was a sprite, cute little thing he just wanted to snatch up, throw over his shoulder, and carry home straight to his bedroom.
And Nathan was beside himself, trying to get her out on the dance floor with him and not letting any other single men know she was available. The man was ready to marry and he wanted a wife who accepted the Blessing Texas way. One woman and two men.
While Cal agreed it was an excellent way to live, he hadn’t met a woman he couldn’t live without. Not since his last disastrous attempt at getting married. The verdict was still out on Lillian, but so far, she undoubtedly had his blood pumping, and his cock was dancing the tango, ready to feel a tight pussy wrapped around it.
And Cal was too.
Nathan wrapped his arm around Lillian as he walked her off the dance floor. A nice slow ballad began to play, and before Lillian had time to catch her breath, Cal whisked her out of Nathan’s arms and onto the dance floor.
He pulled her in close, took a deep breath, and let the smell of her perfume fill his lungs. His brain imagined them dancing nice and slow in the bedroom. Both of them naked.
“What do you think of our weddings?” he finally asked her.
“My grandparents were from around here, and I had two grandfathers for a while,” she said softly. “Until one disappeared.”
“Oh, who were your grandparents?” he asked.
She gave a chuckle. “How long have you lived here?”
“Since I was nine years old,” he said, the memory of the CPS worker bringing him to Blessing flashing through his mind. That kid lived deep in his soul as much as he tried to get rid of him. Painful memories were better left undisturbed.
“I was probably moving out about the time you were moving in,” she said without mentioning her grandparents.
Dancing beneath the Texas stars, he pulled Lillian in as tight as he dared as they scooted across the wooden floor. If he ever got married, he would want this type of wedding. One beneath the Texas sky with his family and friends here to celebrate.
Even his paralyzed grandfather.
But he’d thought about marriage once, and now the very idea left a bad taste in his mouth. Once burned, twice shy. Oh no, when Emily’s father learned about the Blessing way, he yanked her home so fast that even the sheriff couldn’t stop them. And, frankly, it was better before they married than after.
“How long are you staying in town,” he asked.
“Two weeks,” she said. “I’ve got some business here, and I want to do some family research while I’m here.”
There was something about her that he kept thinking he should know, but he wasn’t certain of what. Like a distant memory tugging at the corners of his mind, its details blurred and fragmented, leaving him grasping at wisps of recollection.
The music ended, but instead of walking her off the dance floor, he held her in his arms.
“Fireworks in less than a minute,” the DJ said. “Afterward, the bride and grooms will depart for their honeymoon.”
“Oh, I love fireworks,” she said. “We never had the money to purchase them, but I love to watch other people’s money go up in colors.”
“My grandfather refused to let us have them on the ranch,” he said.
Just then, Nathan walked up beside them and slid his arm around Lillian. She glanced from one man to the other and smiled. Her sapphire eyes twinkled with delight.
“I know it’s common for two men to share a woman here in town. Have you guys ever shared a woman?” she asked.
Nathan glanced at him, his eyes wide.
“Yes,” Cal said. “One we almost made it to the altar with.”
A chuckle escaped from Nathan. “Sometimes life interferes in your plans, and later you realize how thankful you are that the universe looked out for you.”
She nodded. “I’ve escaped marriage once as well. But it was with another lawyer.”
The fireworks began, and watching them, he felt a shudder go through Lillian. “I thought you liked fireworks?”
“I do; it’s just I’m getting cold.” Both of them began to remove their suit coats. Nathan was the quickest, and Cal watched as he draped his jacket over her.
“I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve had enough wedding bliss to last me until the next couple that ties the knot.”
“What would you think of following us back to the ranch so we could have a nightcap?” Cal said thinking he had done all the peopling he wanted to do for one night. And he wanted Lillian to go home with them.
Lillian bit her bottom lip, and he wanted to suck it into his mouth.
“Two men, one woman. Are you guys going to play nice?”
Nathan chuckled. “Lil, we’ll play nice, all right. It will be so nice that when you leave, you’re going to want to come back for more.”
Cal didn’t respond verbally. Instead, he pulled her into his arms and layered his mouth over hers. It was a deep kiss. One that seemed to go on forever, yet he wasn’t ready for it to end. If he had his way, he would take it to the next level, and the next, until she was beneath him in his bed.
When they came apart, she opened her eyes and stared at him.
“Hmm, let me think on this,” she said. “Will you show me the Blessing way?”
Nathan let out a groan. “Darling, we can show you a hell of a good time, but you’re not ready for the Blessing way. That takes time.”
She turned and laid her hand on his chest. “I’m here two weeks. How long will it take?”
Cal turned her to him and pulled her in tight. “You need to know what you’re getting yourself into. Do you know anything about the Blessing way?”
“Yes, I had two grandfathers,” she said.
He’d forgotten she mentioned that.
“Did they tell you how we like our women?”
“No,” she said, her breathing heavy. “All I know is that I want to learn.”
Cal exchanged a look across the way with Nathan.
“If you want to learn, then you shall,” he said. “But that means we’re all going to the ranch. I think we’ll miss the bouquet toss.”
She chuckled. “I’m sure as hell not going to catch it. I don’t want that thing anywhere near me.”
If the woman wasn’t interested in marriage, why did Nathan think this was such a great idea? The man was actively searching for a wife. Cal wanted nothing to do with his search except occasionally taking a woman for a test drive. So far, they were all failures. And he was sure that Lillian would be a failure because the woman knew nothing about the way the men in Blessing liked their women—nothing except that they wanted two men for every woman.
If she wanted sex, he could give her that all day long, but his heart was stuck in the past, and he wasn’t ready to unlock the vault he’d hidden it in.
The fireworks ended, and they took her by the arms.
“Are you certain about this?” Cal asked, needing to hear her say the words.
“Yes,” she replied. “I want both of you together to fuck me. Is that what you want to hear me say?”
A grin spread across his face, and he leaned down and kissed her upturned nose. “Your wish is our command. We can’t wait to spread you out on the bed and lick you like a delicious lollipop. Up one side and down the other.”
A smile spread across her face. “You do have condoms?”
“Oh yes,” he promised. “No worries there.”
“Then, boys, take me to your home and let the night’s festivities begin,” she said as she stopped at a car.
“Follow us,” he said. “Oh, and by the way, take off your underwear. I want nothing between us and you when we reach the house.”
Her mouth dropped into an O shape, but then she pulled her panties down before she crawled into the car.
“Better?”
“Oh yes,” he replied, taking them from her and holding them up to his nose. “Now I can dream about shoving my fingers up inside your sweet cunt the moment I see you.”
“Don’t you think it would be fair for you to remove your underwear?”
A chuckle came from between his lips. “Yes, but I’m wearing jeans, not a dress.”
“See you at the ranch,” she said. “Who knows, maybe by the time we reach there, I’ll be naked.”
