VAELITH
My mate was passed out in my claws, her limbs limp, her head rolled back as I twitched inside her, filling her with even more of my seed.
The first urgent madness of my rut had faded, leaving behind only the hardness of my length while giving me the clarity of mind to rock back on my haunches, holding her carefully in place as I looked at the readings on her medical wrist unit, ensuring her vitals were strong and that there had been no serious damage from the mating.
I smiled at the readings. The Chyrrith scientists, the ones the Norratar had running this program, had provided me with all the details of her preparation so that I could bring it back to my people. I set the scanner down.
It was good that she was unconscious for this next part.
I shifted back while still inside her, my form growing smaller as I cradled her in my arms, gently lowering us both down to the furs.
I arranged her, rotating her to her side with me behind her so she would wake comfortably, even as I pumped my smaller length inside of her until it swelled down at the base to the same size as my larger form, locking me inside of her.
I would lie with her while she slept, and every time she woke, I would stroke her between her legs until she clenched down on me, her body sucking more of my seed into her.
I settled down, activated my wrist unit, and ordered food and beverages to be delivered by automatic trays. I reviewed my messages about the other tasks I'd set in motion, noting the ones I knew she would want to know about.
I would be fine for some time, but she would need to eat and drink while I bred her.
I held her against me, pressing my nose into her hair, delighting in the soft scent of her.
We barely knew each other. She had agreed to be mine, to let me devote myself to her, and I would spend every day of the rest of our long lives proving to her that she had made the right choice.
I ran a finger along the small scales that were starting to take shape along her bare arm, the hint of the transformation that was to come. It would take time, and many breedings.
The choice she made to be with me wasn't just leaving her homeworld behind; it was a choice to outlive all the humans she had ever known, to go out into a new world of time where lifetimes of exploration and discovery awaited, where any experience she wanted to have could be explored and devoured, all the precious treasures captured and collected.
She was mine, I was hers, and I couldn't wait to get to know who we became together.
She stirred in my arms.
I kissed her cheek and smoothed her hair back from her face.
"Vaelith?" she whispered as her eyes fluttered open, her head tilting to the side so she could look at me.
"Yes, Brielle?" I murmured, stroking down the side of her neck, petting her with gentle caresses.
"Hi," she said, the word soft and breathy, the corners of her eyes crinkling as a smile spread across her face.
"Hi," I said back, tracing her jaw. "Your domesticated feline has been delivered to my ship and has been acclimating to the new climate chamber I provided for her."
"Climate chamber?" she asked, a small wrinkle forming in the center of her forehead.
I shifted us slightly so I could angle my wrist unit where she could see, then brought up the video feed from the room. Her domesticated feline was lounging in a square ray of warm light that mimicked the composition of her star's rays, its speckled belly up as it curled slightly to one side.
"Is that a rat?" she gasped, pointing to the corner of the screen, where one of the animatronic prey animals scurried under the broad leaf of a plant.
The room was lush with greenery, all transplanted with Earth after going through a pathogen scanner and planted into a thick layer of soil I laid down in the room.
They were tested to ensure they were safe for the feline to consume if it had the urge, and they provided an enriching environment while being fed from the artificial stream that ran through the room.
I had my autonomous ship units install a gravity mesh because of the soil, independently powered from the ship's main systems, which would activate if there was an emergency and keep everything from flying around.
"It is a small robot with a squishy, destroyable shell that has a small intelligence unit programmed to tempt and evade your domesticated pet," I said. "There are a few of them, of different forms. They release treats when caught."
"Vaelith... you didn't have to do all that..." she said, the depth of her smile saying otherwise. "She would have been happy just being able to run around the ship."
"You have trusted me to care for the needs of your domesticated feline," I said.
"I do not take the responsibility of care lightly.
Your feline is welcome to the rest of the ship once she acclimates, but that room will remain dedicated to her needs.
I set it up based on my initial research, but we can change anything about it that you wish. "
"How did you get it done so quickly?" she asked.
"My people are less numerous than other species, so we developed robotic aids early in our development to take care of many tasks," I said. "Our robotics technology is considered the best in the known galaxy. I do not have to be present to take care of things."
Another frown fluttered across her face, and she began to turn it away from me as if she could hide it.
I reached and gently tilted her face back to me with one finger.
"Say it," I commanded.
"The contract said you'd take care of me," she said, her worry reflecting in her voice. "Does that mean I'm going to spend my life being tended by robots?"
"You are not a thing," I said. "You are my mate."
I shifted my hips to remind her of how we were connected, and her eyes popped open wider than I'd seen them before.
"Is that... your knot?" she asked, reaching down to feel between her legs with tentative fingers. "It was described in the contract."
"Yes," I murmured as I followed her hand down with my own and began to stroke her quivering lower lips with gentle caresses.
I shifted as much as I could, rotating my hips to rub inside of her without pulling on the knot to cause her discomfort.
She let out a soft moan, and her head pressed back against my chest. I reached with my other hand and cupped one of her voluminous mounds, teasing the peak of it between my fingers.
"To think my mate would be such a luscious creature," I said as I continued to stroke and tease her with my hands.
"To think my mate would be a.... a...." She couldn't finish her words as her eyes rolled back and her insides fluttered around me, milking me of my seed, pulling it from me as I gave her the deep, shallow thrusts that would send it into her depths.
"A what, my treasure?"
She smiled at me, languid and satiated, speared and anchored onto my length where she belonged.
"A dragon," she said.
