CHAPTER 14
ANDI
We spent two weeks in Wyoming, settling everything with Callum’s family ranch.
He’s still leaving the managers to run it, and they are purchasing a large portion of it for themselves.
I thought it was a generous deal. It will keep Callum’s family legacy intact, but neither of us will have to give up the lives we’ve created in Eastport.
As I pull my truck up to the restaurant where I’m meeting a good friend, I see Butcher pull in behind me. Callum said I could have a girl’s day with Roisin, as long as Butcher tagged along.
Callum is staying at the hotel to get some work done while letting Ria have space to play. Being stuck in the car and confined to the small apartment in the horse trailer was a bit much on the little one.
The bellhop appears, and I slide out of the truck, my boots hitting the pavement.
My back, which has been aching off and on all day, reminds me it’s still hurting.
My son rolls in my belly, letting me know he’s still there too.
I grab my cowboy hat and settle it on my head as I waddle up to the curb.
“Andi.” I hear my name hollered.
Ro walks up the sidewalk toward me. I met her when I was here after my accident.
She was doing a rotation at the hospital for her degree in medical social work.
She came into my room to cheer me up and see if there was anything she could help me with.
I was a wreck, and she immediately ingratiated herself to me with the fact she didn’t know who I was and just wanted to girl talk.
Roisin pulls me into a hug, then steps back and looks down at my stomach. “Girl, you said you had news to tell me, but this isn’t what I was expecting.” She reaches toward my belly but stops. “May I?”
“Of course.” I nod, and she rubs my stomach.
“I can’t wait to have a baby. I’ve always just wanted to be a mom, but Paddy insists I go to college and be the smart one in the family.”
I don’t know much about Roisin’s family life, other than her brother, Paddy, and an aunt raised her. She keeps a lot of her life private. I know her brother just got married last Christmas time and had a baby in the last few months.
“It will happen for you soon. I didn’t expect this little guy, but Callum was serious when he said he was going to keep me in every way.” I chuckle as we walk toward the restaurant entrance.
Ro stops and stares behind us at something. I turn and see Butcher standing there, like he always is.
“Oh, sorry, Ro. This is Butcher, my bodyguard. Callum insisted he hang out with me, even though the police think they have the right guy in custody.”
Butcher holds out his hand. “Easton,” he says in a thick, rough voice.
“Roisin MacElvoy,” Ro says softly as she takes his hand.
I watch as the two of them look down at their hands, then back up into each other’s eyes. Butcher is the first to pull away. When he looks at me, he shakes his head.
“I’ll go sit over here and keep an eye on you both.”
Normally, I would have asked him to join us, but I’m not going to argue with him. After all these months together, I can tell he’s off about something.
“Did I scare him away?” Ro looks hurt.
Butcher turns back to us and moves into Ro’s space. He looks around and nods at someone in the distance. I turn and see a couple of men in black suits, watching us.
Butcher cups her chin and leans into her. I can barely make out what he says. “Princess, you’d never do anything to make me run. But I know who you are, and I shouldn’t want the things I do right now. The things I can see in your eyes. Know I’ll always be close by, though.”
He turns to me. “With the number of guards on her, you should be okay without me for a bit.” Butcher faces Ro again. “Princess, I’m sorry to do this, but forget you met me.”
He walks back to his bike and takes off.
“Guards? Princess? What is he talking about?” I ask.
Ro looks like she’s going to cry. I pull her into my arms.
“Why is every man scared of my brother? I hoped he’d be different.” She shakes her head, and now instead of sorrow in her tears, I see anger.
“Butcher isn’t scared of anyone or anything,” I say. “I don’t understand. Who’s your brother? Also, I didn’t know his name is Easton. He goes by Butcher. I was beginning to think that was his real name.”
“Come on, let’s have a seat, eat some lunch, then go shopping.” Ro leads me into the restaurant, where she proceeds to tell me a bit more about her real life, like the fact her brother is the head of the Irish mob.
I can’t believe she’s really a part of the Vegas underground that so many people talk about. She doesn’t seem like she’s hard or streetwise. I’m about to ask her about that when she changes the subject.
“So, tell me about Callum. From what you’ve told me, he seems like a nice guy.”
“He is. He and I had a misunderstanding, but now we’re on the right path. I’m just so confused about Beau. Yesterday, after we got in, the investigators wanted to talk about him. He keeps saying he wants an attorney and that he’s being framed.”
“Every criminal thinks they’re innocent.”
A quick thought snaps into my mind, but then I let it go because I don’t care. I know Ro, and I trust her. Her brother probably only does bad things because he’s forced to. But, then again, maybe it’s because of his family. He was raised just like she was.
Could that be the case with Beau?
“He said he’d confess to me.”
“Did you talk to him?”
“No. Callum wants to wait until my attorney gets here.”
“Oh, I understand that. My brother and cousins have always said to have attorneys present. Even if you’re innocent or not involved.”
We enjoy lunch, and I’m about ready to get up and head back to my truck when Ro surprises me.
“So, your fiancé knows someone over at the Lucky Dice Resort and Casino?”
“Actually, we both do. One of the owners is related by marriage to a friend of ours. Why?”
“Well, while you and I have been enjoying lunch, he had the casino come pick up your truck. There’s a limo waiting for us, and we’re heading to a shop to find you a wedding dress. He sure does move fast.” She chuckles, but I see her eyes stray to where Butcher is back, sitting with her guards.
“How do you know all this? And are you serious? He and I talked about getting married while we’re here, but I didn’t think he was serious.”
“Oh, he’s serious, and yes. I’m supposed to help pamper you today. Ready?”
“I guess.”
Cowboy
Pacing the inside of the chapel in the Lucky Dice, I wait for my girl to get here.
Ty and his family showed up to be with us.
Tana is going to take care of Ria for the night so we can have a wedding night.
I’m not upset at all that I called Gambit.
He put me in touch with his wife’s uncle, who is part owner of the Lucky Dice.
Gray called his partner, Alek, who helped me get everything lined up.
Then to make things even better, Roisin, Andi’s friend, happens to be related to the head of the Irish Mob. She helped get flowers, a dress, and everything else needed. Of course, she made me put her in the wedding, but I thought it would make Andi feel special having her friend by her side.
Now I’m not very patiently waiting for the ceremony to begin so I can see Andi. Her family is supposed to be here tomorrow. I didn’t want her mother to interfere, so I pushed for today. I know Andi wants to marry me, and she wasn’t upset that her family wasn’t going to be with us.
The doors at the back open, and everyone turns.
Roisin stands there in a pale pink, strapless dress with a tulle skirt.
Butcher is at my side, and he shifts slightly.
His body is taut, and for the first time since I met him, he doesn’t look as calm, cool, and collected as usual.
As Roisin moves down the aisle toward us, his body tenses more until I can practically feel the tension rolling off him.
I focus back on the open doorway, and then Andi moves into view.
My body locks up. I want her here, right now. I don’t want to wait for her to walk. Why isn’t she walking faster?
Andi’s gown is strapless, made of chiffon and lace, with a delicate leaf pattern on the lace overskirt.
The waist sits above her belly and is accented with a metal floral belt.
She’s holding a bouquet of pale pink and white roses.
Her hair is pulled into an intricate bun at the back of her head, topped with a simple tiara.
The need to storm down the aisle and drag her to the justice of the peace is getting worse by the minute. Finally, she’s standing in front of me.
I don’t remember the ceremony. I remember sliding my rings onto her finger. I remember the moment she vowed to be mine until death. But mostly, I remember the moment we sealed our fates with a kiss.
A small reception commences with everyone who is here in Vegas with us.
I finally meet Roisin in person, and I can see why Andi and she are so close.
She’s a kind, gentle person, who made sure everything Andi could have dreamed of was a part of the ceremony.
We take pictures in front of the Bellagio fountain, and pictures of our small family and all of our friends.
There’s even a cake with pale pink flowers on it from an exclusive bakery.
Alek and his wife come to congratulate us.
The reception takes longer than the ceremony.
By the time I have my wife to myself, I can tell she’s nearly exhausted. Our boy is taking so much from her. I can’t wait until he’s here and I can knock her up again.
Andi backs away from me when I set her on her feet after carrying her over the threshold.
“Come get me, big boy,” she taunts me.
I rip my tuxedo jacket off and toss it across the room, then continue to undress while tracking her like prey.
When she’s standing at the end of the bed, she turns her back to me. I slowly slide the hidden zipper of her dress down. It falls, pooling at her feet. She looks like a goddess standing before me. She faces me again, wearing a pair of white-and-pale pink panties and nothing else.
My hands go to her bare breasts, and I tweak her nipples before leaning down and pulling one between my lips.
She moans and pushes more of her breast to my mouth.
I take her other breast in my palm and tease it as I suckle her.
I can’t wait until they are full and leaking for our son to eat from. I’m going to help myself to them too.
“Nymph, you are officially mine. My wife. My old lady as soon as I get you back to Eastport, where your vest is waiting for you. My love. My life.” I kiss her body with each declaration.
Lifting her into my arms, I carefully lay her on the bed and watch as she slides across to give me room. I grab her leg.
“Nope. Right here.”
I position her so her hips are at the edge of the bed and open her up before slamming home.
I groan as her body accommodates to my size and girth.
The moment she ripples along my cock, I start moving in fast, deep, hard thrusts.
I need to get me cum inside her body, even though my child in her belly is proof she is mine already.
Andi holds her breasts as I relentlessly move in her, over and over. I need her to come on my cock before I come so I deep inside her. Rolling my finger over her clit, she screams as she comes. She’s spasming so hard it drags some cum from my cock.
I pull out and flip her to her knees. She rises up, and I place a couple of pillows under her. One at her breasts and the other below our child, so if she collapses, she doesn’t put pressure on her belly. I slide back into her tight channel and move fast and hard again.
“Fucking come for me again, wife.”
“Yes, husband.”
She moans as I watch her hand slide down so she can play with her clit to get herself there. She comes only moments later, and this time I work myself through her orgasm, dragging it on longer before I come deep inside her body.
Just before her arms give out, I pull her up. Her back to my chest, and my hand on her belly.
“You’re never getting away from me again, wife.”
“I won’t ever leave you.”
I fall asleep with her in my arms and the feeling that nothing is ever going to change between us.
