TAYLOR
“I haven’t seen her since this morning, but she’s awake. Victoria is in with her now.”
To say they were frenemies would be putting it mildly.
Donna laughed. “Girl, Lincoln done put together a team of retired rangers for extra security. They gonna be steppin’ all over each other.”
Donna chuckled. “True facts.”
Victor approached and kissed Taylor’s forehead. “What are you ladies plotting?”
“You’re political demise,” Taylor remarked. “We’re sick of your entourage.”
Victor dropped his head. “You’re preaching to the choir, ladies. But they are definitely useful at times like this.”
“I guess,” Donna muttered.
Victor smiled. “I’ll leave you to it. Don’t forget about the family meeting at 5.”
“We won’t forget, my love. But, first, we’re gonna go and check on Bella.”
“All right. I’ll see you later.”
When Victor walked away, Donna took notice of Taylor’s lingering gaze. “Girl, you love yourself some Victor.”
“And do,” Taylor confirmed with a smirk. “And, what about you? How do feel about Lincoln?”
Bella grinned. “I love fucking him. And his cooking ain’t half bad.”
Taylor laughed and grabbed Bella by the elbow. “Come on, fool. Let’s go see your sister.” ?
