Without words, they filed out. No doubt, they were just as curious as she was about her sister’s unexpected visit.

“You don’t look all that happy to see me.”

She moved toward her sister with open arms, but she was rebuffed with a wave. “You’re not gonna want a hug after you hear what I have to say.”

After a long sigh, she returned to her seat on the couch and prepped herself for the bullshit that was about to come out of her sister’s mouth. “What is it that you have to say, Nicole?”
