Creed

Magnus and Axton were shooting a game of pool against Drakos and Irons. Jennings, Granger and I were sitting at the bar drinking a beer watching the kids play hide and seek. Typically, we played poker, and the game hadn’t started yet when it happened.

Granger and I acted like we didn’t know that Addie was hiding behind the bar. Dillon came running in and asked if we saw Addie.

“Dat’s tweeting!” Addie ran around the bar pointing at the kid.

“No, it’s not! I don’t cheat!” Dillon talked back to the little badass princess, and I watched as her face turned blood red.

“It is so, you can’t ask for help when you’re it!” She stomped her foot.

“Quit being such a baby!” Dillon stood tall.

“Umm…Granger, you might want to get your kid.” I advised.

“Nah, he can fight his own battles. He needs to know that dad can’t always bail him out.” Granger took a swig of his beer.

“Yeah, but he’s only six and I’m worried for his safety.” I muttered under my breath. I wouldn’t stop Addie. It was good she knew to stand up to boys. I was one once and we could be little assholes. Especially to cute little girls in pigtails that looked like angels.

Addie took a step closer to the kid. “I’m not the one that’s going to be cwying for mommy.”

Jennings was taking a swig but choked on his beer in a laugh.

“At least I have a mommy, four eyes!” Dillon stuck his tongue out at her, and I went to stand and take care of the kid myself, but paused midway, because it happened so fast I didn’t even see her hand move. Suddenly, Dillon had a bloody nose and was crying for Stephanie.

“Oh shit!” All the guys stopped and watched in horror, except Granger. He calmly took a swig of his beer.

Addie then spit in his face and crossed her arms. Standing there like she was proud of herself. “Who’s the baby now?” She asked.

I went to rush over to them, but Granger caught my arm. “Let them work it out.”

I looked at Granger’s son and he had blood pouring from his nose. “Dude, your kid is hurt.”

He shrugged. “He’ll be fine.”

Dillon went rushing for Granger, but Granger held a hand up. “Don’t come running to me. You brought that on yourself. I heard what you said to that girl, and you deserved it. Go on to the bathroom, and clean yourself up, its not your first bloody nose and you know what to do. If I hear you went to your mom, you and I will have a problem.”

Addie stood behind him with her arms crossed and all that attitude and pride was still shining through.

Dillon ran off crying and I waved Addie over. “You can’t hit every boy that makes you mad, Addie.”

“Sure, she can.” Axton was still laughing but calmed it. “He deserved it.” He then looked at Addie. “You are the cutest little thing ever.”

An adorable and innocent smile formed on her face as she started to blush then buried her face in my leg to hide.

“She’s a little badass angel. She’ll need those skills when she gets older.” Magnus said.

I nodded. “I know, right? Morgan doesn’t agree though. She’s worried we have a problem.” I looked at Granger. “You don’t think you were a little tough on Dillon?”

He shrugged his shoulders like he had no fucks left. “Nah, it’s best he learns young. The worst punches sometimes come from the smallest packages. I’ll have him apologize for what he said before we leave. That shit pissed me off and he needs to learn some respect. I think it’s the humiliation that hurts the most.” He leaned over and looked at Addie. “You were right, by the way. That was cheating and you were also right for calling him out on it.” He gave her a wink and she hid her face again.

An hour later, our women were playing music, drinking margaritas, and we were playing poker as the kids sat at a small table having snacks. Morgan came over and sat on my lap. “Look how well the kids get along. Little Dillon is so sweet with her. If Addie asks for something he jumps right up and gets it for her. He’s such a cutie.”

I looked over and Addie faked him out with a fist, and the poor kid jumped about a foot in the air. I never saw a kid so scared of a girl in my life. Axton chuckled but I guessed Morgan didn’t see it. I gulped before I opened my mouth and said the magic words I didn’t know would win my girl over a little more. I was starting to get used to the whole relationship thing. “I think you were right.” Her eyes lit up like Christmas morning and she didn’t even know what I was going to say. “Maybe we do have a little problem with the bullying boys thing.” Not that Dillon wasn’t in the wrong by what he said, but we couldn’t drop everything and go to the school every time some kid made Addie mad. “I like that she can defend her self and she’s not afraid to put someone in their place, but maybe she could learn to use her badass attitude in a healthier way.”

Morgan looked from me to Addie, then to me, and then to Dillon. “Please tell me she didn’t do it to Dillon. I thought maybe he had been crying earlier when we came downstairs”

“We’ll talk about it later.”

The next day, I had to start my physical training. Got up early, ran twelve miles, jumped in the lake and did some endurance exercises, then went to my gym and worked out before my shower. All before the sun was up. I started the coffee maker and thought back to the prior night. I was still having the best sex of my life. I was all in and had absolutely no reservations. Sex with Morgan brought out the most blinding explosions of orgasms I ever experienced. The sex was still getting better every damn time. I knew it wasn’t just because she had the sweetest pussy God ever created, but it was brought on by my feelings for her. The more I felt for her, the more I enjoyed sex.

I made a mental note to talk to Morgan later. We needed to define us. We talked last night but it was about Addie. I was a big part in their lives and they had become the biggest part of mine. I sure as hell wasn’t thinking marriage, but she was my old lady, and I wanted to know her expectations and the exact role I’d play in Addie’s life. We were making decisions together, like I was also a parent, so I thought it was important to know my role. I didn’t want to upset Morgan by overstepping, but I also wanted to be Addie’s father figure.

Not only was I happy as hell about my relationship with Morgan, I loved my relationship with Addie. I looked forward to coming home and having Addie jump into my arms and being able to kiss Morgan.

There was so much more to the relationship I had with the both of them than any relationship I ever had with anyone. I loved my father, and I fucked that up, so I had to work hard and make sure I didn’t fuck things up with Morgan as well. I knew I was falling in love with her, that was apparent by my acceptance of a true committed relationship. Well, by other facts as well. I trusted her, and trust never came easily to me especially when it came to women. She made things so easy. It was like we shared a brain. She could have been angry that I didn’t tell her about Nicole being my mother. She could have been angry that I didn’t just simply withhold my military status, I lied to her and the whole damn community. She could have been angry when I refused to tell her how the rogue Rejects were handled as well. She was lighthearted about my past with Dahlia and the other girls, and she knew I had done things of sexual nature with the girls in the community. Those were the reasons it was hard not to tell her anything about our missions and my deployment. She brought out an honest man in me, one that never wanted to keep secrets of any kind. She accepted the fact that I couldn’t give her details and that reminded me of Stephanie and the great marriage she had with Granger.

I was amused when I went to the pantry to look at the breakfast shelf. I never had it so damn great in my life. I grabbed a breakfast bar then went to the counter and got a banana to set to the side for breakfast. After that I got my shower then after I dressed I stood over Morgan and admired her.

She was wearing a satin and lace camisole with matching short bottoms. Both of us always dressed for bed, even after sex, because we never knew when Addie would climb into our bed. Which was what happened before we fell asleep mostly every night but that night. Morgan blew my mind, and I learned something new about her body, her pleasure, and her boundaries every time we had sex. My most intense physical, and I’d admit emotional, pleasures of my life came from that sweet angel.

Morgan laid on her side as she slept peacefully, and I admired her dark hair as it laid in waves over her pillow. Her long lashes, that button nose, and her plump parted lips made her look like an angel. As I admired the top swells of her breasts that were visible, I saw her chest rise and fall. I fought the feeling of being weak my entire life, but the woman laying in my bed made me feel weak one minute and like a hero the next. The weakness didn’t feel negative, it was just because I couldn’t deny her anything, but she never asked for much. Well, she may not have verbally asked for anything, but her eyes told me when she needed something. It was never anything material and what she did ask for didn’t feel like a sacrifice. It was more like feeling honored to gift her with the things she needed. She needed to be respected, loved, protected, and accepted. It was only things that surprisingly came naturally. She might have been spoiled, but she didn’t expect anyone else to spoil her. If she wanted something materialistic, she got it for herself.

I leaned down and moved her hair from her forehead then kissed it. Damn, I was one hell of a lucky man. Surprisingly, Addie slept in her own bed all night for the first time. I looked in on her, but didn’t want to chance waking her up, so I just admired her for a moment. Her blond hair was a tangled mess, and those innocent eyes were shut, showing me another set of long lashes. She had the cutest little nose and tiny mouth. I knew Callie, saw her at the bar and interacted with her several times. Callie was beautiful and Addie looked just like her. There wasn’t one feature Addie had that reminded me of that scrawny little piece of shit Shane. He was a nothing, just a bag of bones that took up the airspace he didn’t deserve.

It wasn’t just the residents of Creed’s Lake getting tired of the lock down. As I got on my bike to go to work, I realized how much I missed the lunch time rides. It seemed like ages since I got to ride outside the gates and visit with Mrs. Hoffman.

My day started off fine. I did a few video calls with high ranking military members and discussed possible contracts for a few missions. Met with the Originals like we did every day, then had lunch at my desk as I worked. Melissa Pierce called and accepted the offer of employment, then I got to call Morgan and give her the news. She was ecstatic. Then in the afternoon I met with each mission commander one on one and went through a few strategies for their missions. After work, I rushed home to my girls.

That was how my days went every day, and finally it was time to leave for California. Melissa had just moved in the day prior. Addie was over the moon with happiness to see Melissa. The guys helped her move, and they seemed a little too enthusiastic about leaving Creed’s Lake for a few hours.

I chartered a jet to take us to California. Normally, I’d fly commercial, but I felt a charter was best for that trip. Creed’s Lake had a private jet, but it wasn’t for personal use. The charter wasn’t because of the cartel or any bikers. It was to avoid overwhelming Addie and Melissa with the paparazzi and Morgan’s fans. I knew things would calm down for Addie someday, but I knew it would always be an issue for Morgan. There were three prospects and three operatives we took with us. There were also two men I sent out ahead of us and they arrived two days prior to secure Morgan’s Malibu home. I wasn’t about to put my guard down just because we were leaving Indiana. If anything, I needed to be a little more careful with my girls in California. There was a heavy cartel presence in California and the southwest as a whole.

We moved Melissa into the spare room on our lowest floor. That way she had a kitchen of her own and a little bit more privacy. As I worked on my laptop during the flight, Addie was sleeping as Morgan and Melissa were shopping online for things to make Melissa feel more at home. She was a tiny little thing, so if we wanted her to feel more comfortable there were some adjustments Magnus and Irons were making to Melissa’s living area. They were putting in a shorter sink and toilet in the bathroom. Adjusting her closet, and breaking lockdown rules by allowing the stair lift installers into my house. Morgan offered her new furniture, which included a bedroom set, a few new stepping stools designed for people of Melissa’s stature, and a sofa as well as anything Melissa needed. I had a feeling Melissa couldn’t afford a lot of the things available to make her life a little easier. She would have been able to take those things with her when her cabin was complete. The thing that seemed to excite her most was the side by side I had the motorcycle shop make adjustments to, so traveling around the community would be a little easier. I always did my best to make everything in the community comfortable for everyone. Some men had prosthetics, some that worked for the bike sales and command center areas were in wheelchairs, and we even had a former Marine that was blind. Creed’s Lake was built with those situations in mind. We knew not all operatives could take missions. We had to create roles for soldiers that were injured either in the war or on a mission. Just because they had injuries didn’t mean they didn’t have skills we needed.

Addie was excited when she saw Melissa. It warmed my heart knowing Addie had everything we could give her to help her adjust. There were moments when she had a bad dream, would cry and ask about Callie, then of course she had moments when she clung on to us like it was life or death. Bolton met with all three of us together then alone. For me it was more about my fear of the flashbacks, but for my girls it was grief counseling.

I had Morgan’s one security guard checked out. I wasn’t all that impressed with his history. He was never trained by the military or any kind of law enforcement. He was a former boxer without the training I felt was necessary to keep her safe. Morgan had taken chance after chance with her safety and that wasn’t good enough to satisfy me. She tried too hard to keep her circle small to protect her family from shame, but that only put her in physical danger, and she was damn lucky so far. Thankfully, she didn’t seem too bothered with the security detail I put into place. That was likely for a few reasons. She believed in the purpose of Creed’s Lake. She understood by employing the men we did, we were giving them a true purpose after separating from the Military. Some men weren’t able to adjust to civilian life like others. She also understood Creed’s Lake was meant to give them a home. Somewhere they were wanted and needed like family or at least friends. They belonged and it helped their mental health tremendously. Leaving the military was always hardest on those who didn’t have a loving family waiting back home to welcome them with open arms.

No family that lived at Creed’s Lake just consisted of parents and their kids. Several operatives served together and their buddies with families treated them as if they were an uncle or aunt to their children. If they came not knowing anyone, they were assigned to a family. Nobody spent holidays alone at Creed’s Lake. As far as me, I always spent mine with the Originals. We really were a family, and I was happy as hell to add Morgan and Addie to it.
