Chapter 31 Jade

Chapter Thirty-One

JADE

I’ve never been the type to cry at weddings. Not once. I like to look at the sorry sucker standing at the other end of the aisle. The man who’s been told his entire life is going to end once they get married.

And when I look at them, I can see they never believed it.

Not for a moment.

Those men are always smiling, some of them tearing up, all of them looking like there’s nothing they’d rather do than spend the rest of their lives with the woman walking toward them.

But as I look at Aiden, waiting for Zoe to finish her walk down the aisle, the tears start streaming down my face.

Aiden looks like he’s finally found peace as she stops in front of him, handing off her bouquet to Gia.

Gia takes the flowers, tears rolling down her cheeks and running into her smile too.

I take a sharp breath and lean into Ezra’s side as his arm wraps around my shoulders.

He kisses my temple, but he’s stiff.

It’s been a hard couple of weeks, getting him adjusted to the family, and I’m still not sure things are good between him and Aiden, but he won’t talk about it. I’m not pushing him either. Not when the last two weeks have been busy with the last-minute wedding planning.

Only Aiden and Zoe would decide that two weeks is enough time to plan an entire wedding and get married.

Ezra’s lips hover against my ear. “You’re going to start cutting tracks in your foundation if you keep sobbing.”

I laugh and take the tissue he holds out, dabbing away the tears as Zoe and Aiden start to read their vows.

My heart is so full. “Do you think one day that’s going to be us?”

It’s impossible for him to get any stiffer, at least it should be. But he does.

I laugh nervously, clutching the tissue.

“I mean, I don’t want to get married anytime soon, but I was thinking about the future while they’ve been planning this, and I started thinking that one day, it might be nice to get married, but I understand if that’s not what you want because it is a lot to think about, especially when we’re just starting to get our shit together. ”

A slow smile tugs at the corner of his mouth. “It’s not that I don’t want to. It’s that I’ve never thought about it before these last two weeks when I finally had time to sit and think about what a future was going to look like.”

Zoe and Aiden seal their marriage with a kiss.

Another tear slides down my face. “And what do you see?”

Ezra lifts my hand to his mouth and kisses the back of it. “I don’t know. Noah is still a problem. But what I do know is that I want to spend every day for the rest of my life with you, whatever that might look like.”

“Has he reached out to you?” Panic rises in my chest.

“Family pictures! All the Lynde siblings get your asses in front of the rose bushes!” Zoe yells as she walks down the aisle hand-in-hand with Aiden.

I laugh, all thoughts of the future on pause for a moment as I get up and tug Ezra with me. “That includes you now.”

His cheeks tinge, and he shakes his head. “I don’t think it does. Your brothers still aren’t happy I’m here, and I’ve caught Skyla looking at me like she’s going to put a knife in my back.”

“She’s a serial killer, so that’s not surprising.” I look at him as the color drains from his skin. “For someone who was stalking me, you don’t seem to know a whole lot about what goes on in my family.”

His fingers skim my waist as he follows me. “You were the only one I was really interested in.”

“Shoddy work, then.” I tow him with me over to the rose bushes.

Aiden glares at him, but Zoe is quick to step on his toes and offer Ezra a smile, pulling him into the mix.

Everyone is bumping into each other as they try to find a space to stand.

Ellie grins, leaning into Sean while Joshua and Skyla look like they could kill anyone at any time. Royce and Gia are busy wrangling Bianca, who keeps running out of the picture, and Dominic, who won’t stop screaming. Summer already has a drink in her hand, making a peace sign at the camera.

I guess the family pictures are going to look like a dysfunctional family portrait.

Not that it’s entirely wrong, but at least one of them besides Ellie could smile.

I put on my best smile, elbowing Ezra to do the same.

His hands find my waist again, and he pulls me back against him like I’m his safety blanket.

After a thousand pictures are taken and at least five arguments have broken out, the reception is in full swing.

Ezra leans down with his lips close to my ear. “Want to get out of here and go fool around?”

I tip my head back to glare at him. “I’m not missing my brother’s wedding. And if you think you can just get out of being here, I’ll tie your ass to a chair.”

“Well, if you wanted to bring restraints into this again, all you had to do was ask.” He presses against me, his hard cock digging into the curve of my ass.

“We’re certainly not disappearing long enough to even think about whipping out restraints.”

He smirks and grabs my hand, towing me toward the stunning villa Zoe booked. “So, we are sneaking off and having sex right now.”

“How are your ribs?” I reach out and press against them.

Ezra shrugs, not even wincing. “They still hurt, but it’s getting better and if it’s the difference between me being buried deep in your pussy right now or you telling me to go pound sand, then my ribs are wonderful. They’ve never been better.”

Laughing, I follow him into the villa and up to the room we’re sharing.

The entire way up the stairs to the room, his hands keep skimming my hips and ass, playing with the slit in my dress.

As soon as the door closes behind us, he whips me around and pushes my back up against the wall.

His lips are on mine, searing hot and claiming all the air in my lungs.

Our tongues dance together as I work the buttons on his shirt like my life depends on it.

I can’t seem to get him unbuttoned fast enough, but I’m going to try.

The shirt finally falls to the ground.

He breaks the kiss and motions at me to turn.

His fingers find the zipper, and he pulls it down.

I slip the silky black material from my shoulders, allowing it to fall to the floor.

Ezra picks me up and carries me to the bed, tossing me onto it. “I didn’t know you were naked under that dress.”

“It fits me like a glove. How the hell was I supposed to get anything under it?”

He sheds the rest of his clothing, crawling on top of me.

His cock brushes against my pussy before his fingers slip between us. “You’re already soaking wet.”

“Can you blame me? You’ve been teasing me the entire way up to the room.”

With a smirk, he grabs my hands and hauls them above my head. He grips my wrists in one of his hands, keeping them pinned high up the bed as he slides into me.

I hook a leg around his hip, pressing my heel into his thigh and bringing him closer.

He gives me that sexy smirk of his as he presses deeper before pulling out entirely.

His thick length slides against my pussy again.

“You’re doing an awful lot of teasing when we’re on a time limit.”

He presses a kiss to the hollow of my collarbone. “I don’t think I’m on a time limit.”

“You definitely are.” My other leg goes around his waist, and I shift my hips, lining us up so the head of his cock is pressing against me.

He gives me a tiny amount, teasing smile still in place, warmth and possession shining in his eyes. “Nobody is going to come in here and pull us apart. I have you all to myself.”

He pulls my earlobe between his teeth, sending waves of lust crashing over me.

I dig my heels harder into him. “You don’t know my siblings very well, then.”

He lets out a raspy groan as he sinks into me, burying himself to the hilt before pulling back out. “Fuck. I wanted to take our time.”

“We can take our time later.” I wriggle against his hold on my wrists, trying to find any amount of give so I can touch him.

Ezra only holds me tighter, pulling out fully before slamming back into me. He sets off at a punishing pace, pounding into me like he’s trying to go through me.

I meet him the best I can, needing to feel him inside me when I come.

I get closer to the edge, my moans getting louder.

His head dips down to my shoulder, and he bites me hard, sending me over the edge of the orgasm.

He follows close behind, his cock throbbing as he comes, his slow strokes teasing every part of me until he has nothing left to give.

When he pulls out and falls to the bed beside me, I roll over and press into his side, savoring the scent of his cologne and the sound of his relaxed breathing. I don’t think I’ve seen him this relaxed since he kidnapped me.

His fingers trace up and down my waist. “You know, I’ve been thinking that maybe you take a vacation after this year of school is over. Go somewhere in the world, don’t tell me where.”

I shift to prop myself up on his chest, looking down at him. “Are we going to talk in the chatroom?”

“Of course. You’re going to argue with me all about the merits of Pride and Prejudice on a modern-day society, and I’m going to insist Mr. Darcy had a horse cock and that’s why all the women wanted him.”

I snort and shake my head. “And then what?”

“Then, I think I’m going to hunt you down.”

“What happens after you hunt me down?”

He glances at the clock on the bedside table. “I’ll give you a preview of that after the wedding, but you’re right. Your siblings are going to come up here searching for us if we don’t get dressed and head back out eventually.”

I get out of bed, swaying my hips as I walk to the bathroom. “I think we might have enough time left for a little teaser in the shower.”

The stars are shining bright in the sky as Zoe and Aiden leave the dance floor, taking their seat at the head table.

Waiters bring food around to all the other tables as people start to take their seats.

Gia is the first one up to make a speech, but she can barely hold it together.

All I can think about is the way Ezra’s fingers keep slipping up the slit in my skirt and brushing against my pussy. It’s going to be a long night if he keeps teasing me.

Ezra leans a little closer to me, one of his fingers slipping inside, his thumb pressing against my clit. I’m grateful for the long white tablecloths covering everything. If they weren’t there, Summer would be getting an eyeful.

His breath whispers across the shell of my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. “Now, earlier you were talking about the two of us doing this one day.”

My cheeks burn as he adds a second finger, twisting them and swirling his thumb around my clit. “I can’t think when you’re doing that.”

He pulls out his fingers, wiping them on his pants. “Think now.”

I want to protest and insist he go back to teasing me, but that would be counterproductive. I want to be here for the wedding. I love seeing my siblings happy. “I do want this one day. Not exactly this, but I do want to get married and have kids and start a life that’s independent of my siblings.”

“Then when you go on that vacation, make sure you send me pictures of the rings you like.”

I grin and lean into him, brushing a kiss over his lips. “You know me better than anyone else. I’m sure you’re going to pick something beautiful.”

“I still don’t know if we’re going to survive tomorrow, and I know we have a lot of work to do along the way, but there’s nobody else I’d rather do this with. I love you.” He kisses me.

“I love you too.” I kiss him again before turning my attention to the massive steak in front of me. “We can worry about tomorrow when it comes.”

Maybe it’s okay to have some things not figured out. Maybe diving into the unknown is part of the fun of living.
