Chapter 3
Chapter Three
Rafferty
Oh yeah, this is going to be fun.
As soon as she took her hood off, I smirked to myself.
I would know what that was even in the dark.
It was Princess Fayanna, the Princess of the realm and one of the hottest women I had ever laid eyes on.
Immediately, my cock started to stiffen as I watched her walk over to us.
To me. Her hair was gorgeous, with faint waves through it, and her eyes were the colour of grass when laden with dew and lit by the sun in the morning light.
She was breathtaking, and images of her head thrown back as I held her hips and she rolled above me filled my mind.
I hungered for her in a way I hadn't hungered before.
I could feel my curse rising, and I shut my eyes for a moment to get the feeling under control.
I needed to be in control, to not let it control me, but there was something about her that made me want to give in.
"Hello there. I am Princess Fayanna, but you may call me Fayanna. Thank you for agreeing to teach me to control my curse," she said in a dignified, soft voice.
I wondered how velvety my name would sound on her lips. My cock hardened more, painfully, and I needed to find my release.
"As fun as this is, I need to go have a shower. The boys will take care of you," I said, my voice a bit strained.
The guys shot me concerned looks, but I ignored them. I turned on my heel and rushed back to the house. I ran inside and hurried down the only corridor we had. I walked into one of the rooms on the right side, the second one, and slammed the door behind me.
I quickly cleaned myself up and pulled on my loosest pants and shirt before leaving the room. When I made it back outside, everyone was gone except for my friends and Fayanna. She looked at me when I exited, and her face twisted into a look of contrite concern.
"Are you alright?" she asked me, her voice as smooth as a bubbling river running over smoothed rocks.
"I'm fine, just curse things," was all I said.
I hoped she would leave it. It is evident from the way she opened her mouth that she wanted to ask more, but she just nodded. "Alright, well, if you need any help with it, let me know."
I fisted my hands at my sides. She had no idea what she was offering to do. The guys looked at me with twin amused expressions, but neither of them commented. I was grateful, because there was no way I wanted to explain precisely what she was offering.
"Thank you," was all I said.
"Anytime," she said, and I could feel a stir of the fires in my stomach at her words. I tried to ignore it and thought of all the gross things I could imagine, and slowly the fires ebbed.
"Great, now that we are all here, tell us about your curse," Quillon instructed.
She sighed and nodded. "When I sleep, my magic rages. It is sentient, and it tries to escape from me. I am a celestial, so my magic is around space. It tries to destroy everything in its path as it tries to escape me and forms huge vortexes of spatial power and moonlight," she whispered.
I watched as her hands shook. I was going to reach out for her hand, but Quillon surprised me by reaching out and taking it first. He usually hated touch, and even now, he winced as all her memories and every thought she had ever had flooded his mind.
He squeezed her hand and dropped it, but the damage was already done.
He crumbled to the ground, his hands over his ears as he tried in vain to drown the sounds and images out.
I dropped to the ground and placed my hand on his covered shoulder.
"You can do this, you're alright," I said to him as loudly as I could without shouting. "You're stronger than your curse," I said, and he kept groaning in agony.
"What's happening to him?" Fayanna asked, completely horror-struck.
I sighed and nodded to Tarian. He looked at her and jerked his head in the direction of the house. "Come with me, I'll explain."
"We can't just leave him! He's in pain—"
"The further from him, the less bad it'll be. He's cursed so that if he touches anyone, every negative thought, memory, and experience floods him. He feels all the suffering the other person did," I said, averting my eyes.
She paled, and I sighed. "You mean—"
"He is experiencing all your pain, yes, but magnified," I answered.
Her hand flew over her mouth, and I looked at her sadly. The fact that he was reacting this badly… my heart ached for the girl.
Tarian wrapped his arms around her shoulders, and she rested her head on his chest. "Come on. The more distance, the less he'll experience," he promised her.
She cast a pleading look at Quillon before nodding and letting Tarian pull her away to the other side of the clearing. She kept looking back, and I couldn't figure out why, but everything in me screamed to hold her, to keep her safe through all this chaos.
I tore my eyes from her and looked back at my friend. He was still screaming, but the shaking had slowed the further we put between them. I stayed still and just stroked his shoulder as he finally slowed his breathing. He ended up collapsing against the ground, and my heart went out to him.
He groaned after a few moments and pushed himself up. He looked at me with blurry eyes. "What happened?"
"You were an idiot, dude, that's what happened," I said, though my voice was laced with affection. "Why did you reach out to her?" I asked him.
He sighed and looked down at his hands. "I don't know. I saw her and my hand just reached out to her. She is stunning, and I just needed to comfort her. It was an impulse I couldn't ignore," he explained.
I didn't want to jinx us, but I was starting to think there was something more to this.
We never reacted to women this way, even before we were banished.
We were all playboys by nature, all fucking and having a short, fun time, not a long time.
I didn't know what this meant exactly, but I knew something was going on, something that defied reality. Something magical.
"Are you sure you're alright? That looked brutal," I said to him.
He sighed and nodded. "It was. What that girl has gone through… it's more intense than anything we have been through. She has survived so much, and I just— it's inspirational," he said.
I wanted to tease him for making comments like that, but for him to be that complimentary to someone he had just met was insane. Not to mention, I was just as drawn to her as he was.
"Alright, now that you're okay, we should go and check on her and Tarian. Make sure they're okay," I said.
He nodded, and I watched as he forced himself up.
My heart went out to him. He had survived so much, gone through so much, it astounded me that he was still able to function.
My curse sucked, but my incubus nature let me heal fast. The others were warlocks, so they didn't have the healing ability I did.
I wished I could share it with them, but sadly, that was impossible.
He got up, and I cast him a smile before we walked over to the other side of the clearing.
It was a slow walk, with Quillon still in a daze.
His dark blonde, wavy hair was a mess around his face, and his dark blue eyes were still a bit clouded over.
I wanted to tell him to rest, but I knew he'd ignore me.
He was as stubborn as he was muscular, unlike my more muscular but lithe frame.
We wordlessly walked around the corner of the house, and when I saw what the pair were doing, my jaw dropped.
