The private jet’s engines roared to life as we settled into the plush leather seats. As we taxied down the runway, Ocean’s fingers intertwined with mine. He flashed me that dazzling smile that never failed to make my pulse quicken. “Almost there. I can’t wait to hit those waves.”
I squeezed his hand. “I know. Get some rest on the flight.”
