Chapter 5

Teddy

“I’ve been ‘Daddy’ for a night,” said Arden, not looking directly at Teddy.

The lack of eye contact was a sign, right? That she wasn’t interested. That she didn’t want Teddy like that.

“But if you want me to show you how Daddy should treat her Teddy, then I guess I can do that.”

“You guess?” Teddy didn’t want to be anyone’s chore or duty, not ever again.

Arden lifted her head and looked right at Teddy.

“The fact that anyone has ever made you feel like a failure as a Little because of what you do or don’t like, makes me furious.

” Her eyes were dark. “You are the most precious thing… and you deserve to feel like just being around you makes your partner’s day.

It’s made my day. So yeah, if you want me, I’ll show you all the ways in which you are special. ”

Teddy couldn’t speak. She could feel her pulse thudding in her throat, her tongue heavy. She swallowed. “I… I’m special?”

“Yes. Yes, you are.”

“Okay then.”

“Okay then?”

“Make me feel special.”

Arden got up and walked to the counter. Teddy couldn’t see her from the booth, but could hear the low murmur of voices. Glancing back at her phone, she picked it up and shot off a message to Briar.

Arden’s good people?

Arden’s good people.

Good enough to be Daddy for a night?

Typing dots came and went, and after a moment, Briar’s response filled her screen.

She’s a good play partner, but she’s never been anything else so be careful, Teddy.

I’m bored of careful. I want to have fun.

Fair enough. Remember to negotiate your play, safe words and aftercare. And have that fun, cous!

Thanks, B.

Always.

Steps announced Arden’s return, but this time she slid into the booth beside Teddy, and placed the largest ice cream sundae Teddy had ever seen on the table.

“Surprise for my…?” she paused, waiting for Teddy to finish the sentence.

“…baby girl,” she said, decisively. And then added, “I want happy associations with the phrase.”

“You got it, baby girl.”

“And I should call you…?”

“Daddy, of course. Now, open up.” Arden ladened up a spoon with ice cream and raspberry sauce, and then hovered the spoon in front of Teddy’s mouth. “Come on baby girl, open up for Daddy.”

Teddy could feel the flush burning her cheeks and she scrunched her eyes closed and did as she was told. Cold creaminess hit her taste buds, with the tartness of the raspberry bursting on her tongue. Damn that was delicious.

She opened her eyes, and Arden was smiling at her. Properly smiling, as if Teddy was the most adorable woman she’d ever seen.

“You’re so fucking cute,” she said, and when she said it, it didn’t sound belittling. And it didn’t make Teddy feel less sexy. Arden said those words like Teddy was the ice cream, and she wanted to eat her all up. “Come on darling, eat your ice cream.”

“I can do it myself,” said Teddy, her tone a little petulant. She couldn’t help it; she wanted to be a big girl.

“Sure you can,” said Arden, “but Daddy wants to feed her girl. Will you let me?”

Well when she put it like that…

It probably took her about ten minutes to eat the ice cream, but with Arden feeding her every bite, it felt like a million times longer.

Teddy didn’t know when she’d ever been such a blushing mess.

Each time she opened wide, she got praise that sounded like she was being praised for much more than just eating her ice cream.

And Arden’s eyes got darker and darker, until Teddy could see her own reddened face staring back at herself.

“Do you want me to put you to bed in your own room tonight?” asked Arden, leaning in so her words ghosted against Teddy’s ear. “Or do you want to stay with Daddy?”

She wanted to stay with Daddy. One hundred percent. But saying it out loud…

“I… I…” Teddy ducked her head, hiding it in Arden’s shoulder.

“Now now, baby girl, you’ve got to look at me when you tell me what you want.”

“I can’t,” whispered Teddy, hiding some more.

“Sure you can.” Arden slipped a finger under her chin, raising it until Teddy’s face was level with hers. “If you’re big enough to be Little, then you’re big enough to tell me what you want.”

That sounded contradictory, but it felt right. If Teddy was a grown woman, and if she was choosing to trust Arden enough to go Little around her, then she was grown enough to name her own desires. However much they made her squirm.

“I want to stay with Daddy.”
