Chapter 7

Teddy

Would she?

Ummm… yes. Yes, that would be amazing. Awesome.

Teddy’s ex had always complained that she didn’t take enough initiative.

She hadn’t understood that with Teddy’s brain—the brain that was always loud, always telling her what to do, always pointing out every possible option—sex was the only thing that shut it up.

And only if she wasn’t the one overthinking and trying to make all of the decisions.

“Yes.” She didn’t need to say anything else, she knew Arden could see her answer shining in her eyes.

Arden’s hand cupped her face gently, and then fell away. “You’re doing really great, baby girl. Just a few more things. How about Little play? Are we talking coloring in? Storybooks? Tv time?”

This was harder than the questions about Big play, because Cristina had never really been interested in Teddy’s Little. She’d tolerated it, but only barely.

“I haven’t really had much opportunity to do Little time with others.

I guess all of the above sounds nice. Maybe…

” She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and tried her utmost to be honest. “I think I just want to be rocked and cherished and looked after. And I’m not really sure how a Daddy does that.

I know that some Daddies show their love through spankings, but I don’t want spankings. ”

“And so you shan’t have spankings,” said Arden decisively. “Do you trust me to maybe lead on that aspect of things? And promise that you will immediately use your traffic lights if you’re unsure about something?”

Teddy nodded. “Yes, Daddy. I can do that.” Calling Arden Daddy was becoming easier and easier for her.

She knew that this was just for now, just whilst they were together before Arden dropped her off at Club Delight.

Teddy refused to think about how it would feel to watch Arden drive away from her afterwards.

“Finally, aftercare. I need cuddles, maybe some kisses. Is there anything else you’d like to add to that?”

“Some water to drink, perhaps? And being held. I like to be held.”

“I promise you, I will hold you,” said Arden. She looked like she wanted to say something else, but instead took a sip of her soda, and stood up. “I know it’s not late, but do you want to book the room now?”

There were butterflies in Teddy’s stomach.

“Let’s do it.”

Arden insisted on paying for their food, and then the two of them made their way around the corner to the motel.

The person behind the desk had a tight fro, and a badge that stated their pronouns. They saw Teddy staring and said “We’re queer friendly here. A tiny little town where no one much bothers us. You got a problem with that?”

Teddy smiled. “Not at all, and I’m sorry for staring. I’m not used to seeing pronoun badges outside of cities. It’s a nice surprise.”

They softened visibly, “That’s totally fair. Sorry; I’m always prepped for trouble.” They then saw Arden over Teddy’s shoulder and grinned. “I should have known that you were cool; Arden, she’s with you?”

“That’s right.”

“Two rooms then?”

“Just the one,” said Arden, and the receptionist’s eyebrows rose so high that if they’d had hair, their eyebrows would have disappeared.

“A double or a twin?”

“Double,” said Teddy, before turning to Arden. “If think…?”

“I most certainly do,” said Arden. “A double please, Sage.”

Sage handed them the key with a grin. “Try not to enjoy yourselves too much. We don’t want to scare the straights.”

Teddy bit her lip to stop herself from giggling. “You mean there are straight people who stay here?”

“Hey! Some of my best friends are straight,” said Sage with a wink. That made them both laugh, and the two of them were still laughing when they entered the room that Arden had booked.

As the door closed, the laughter stuttered to a stop, and they both looked at each other awkwardly.

“Well,” said Arden. “It’s not too late to red out and get your own room. In fact, it’s never too late to red out and get your own room.” They were rambling. It was adorable. “Maybe I should have booked two rooms, just in case and—”

“Daddy,” interrupted Teddy. “Do you want me to sleep in another room?”

“No,” said Arden. “Fuck no. I want you here, with me, in my arms.”

“Okay then,” said Teddy. “We’re agreed.” She didn’t quite know where this quiet confidence was coming from, but she liked it.

She liked how she had autonomy, how she wasn’t just someone to project fantasies on top of.

Arden liked her. “I’m going to get changed,” she announced, grabbing her bag and heading into the bathroom.

“Going to clean up, and come out Little. That work for you?”

“Yes, baby girl.”

Once the bathroom door closed, she ran herself a shower, scrubbed herself clean from the dirt of the road, and brushed her teeth.

There weren’t many clothes in her bag—originally, she thought she’d just be borrowing Cristina’s—but there was her favorite hoodie, a few summer outfits, and her Bluey pajamas.

The material was super soft, and the image on the t-shirt always made her giggle.

It had Muffin, Bluey’s naughty cousin, in black and white, with her name in a purple metal-band type font behind.

The shorts that went with it were shorter than Teddy would usually wear around other people, but they were comfortable, and she figured that Arden would appreciate them.

Coming back into the main room, she threw herself onto the bed, and giggled wildly when it bounced her back up. All the best beds had a good bounce to them. “So. What d’you want to do, Daddy?”
