Chapter 12

Arden

Briar was waiting for them outside Club Delight as they pulled up.

Arden had messaged her, sending her their live location, so that she could be there when Teddy arrived.

She and Koa were standing together, the two co-owners an odd pair.

Koa was tall, with long hair and a sweet goofy smile, and Briar’s hair was buzzed down, with a dyed pattern on one side, and a serious look on her face.

They were partners only in the business sense of the word, but you could tell that they were excellent friends.

But even when the engine had cut out, Teddy didn’t move. Arden didn’t move either.

Koa was the first to move. “Hey Teddy! Welcome to Club Delight! Thanks for getting her here, Arden.”

“No worries,” said Arden, getting off the bike. She turned to Teddy. “Hey baby girl, need a hand?”

“Yes please, Daddy,” whispered Teddy, her voice wobbling slightly.

Fuck. Teddy was upset.

And she wasn’t the only one, Arden realized. She was upset too. Helping Teddy down, she pulled the other woman close to her and gave her a huge hug. Teddy didn’t let go. Neither did Arden.

Briar cleared her throat and there was a warning look in her eyes that Arden had seen before, when Doms or Dommes had stepped into her club and messed with the Littles under her protection.

Her eyes burned, but she knew what she had to do. “I guess I should say…” Arden stopped. Why should she do anything? There was no reason why she had to leave. Yes, she’d always left before, but that was before. This was now.

Teddy was staring at her. “Arden?”

“Ah, fuck it. Teddy, baby girl. Do you want to—” Her voice cracked, and she realized that she was scared. Because if Teddy said no, if Teddy withdrew her affection… well, Arden didn’t know if she’d ever get over that. But similarly, if she never asked, she’d never know.

Teddy was worth the risk.

“I don’t have to leave,” she said. “I mean, I’d probably need to take jobs in other parts of the state sometimes, and my credit rating is probably shite from travelling all the time, so I’ve no idea how we’d go about renting an apartment together or anything, and we’d need to get to know each other a lot better, but I… ”

“You’re rambling again,” said Teddy, with a quiet smile.

“I am.” She took a deep breath, and tried again.

“Do you want to be my baby girl for always?” She almost continued the rambling, but bit her tongue and stopped.

“Yes, that’s what I want to ask. I want to date you, to cherish you, and to love you, as wild as that seems. To be your Daddy, and for you to be my baby girl. What do you say?”

“Yes, Daddy,” said Teddy, and kissed her.
