Chapter Thirty-Two
DAISY
Daisy couldn’t believe she had just told him that. She had never had a Daddy before, so how did she know whether she would like it?
But he told you to tell him if you wanted to try something.
And Daisy knew that, but it was another thing to actually say it out loud. She never thought she would find the confidence to tell him something like that.
After pushing the covers away, she tried to dash out of the bed and into the bathroom, but her feet got tangled in the sheets, making her fly toward the ground. Strong arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her into Daddy’s chest.
“You’re okay. Daddy’s got you,” he gently said.
“Let me go, please,” she whispered. “Please, let me go so I can go hide.”
But Daddy didn’t let her go. If anything, his arms wrapped around her tighter, holding her against him.
“Daddy isn’t going to let you go anywhere. We are going to talk about what you just said,” he stated.
Daisy shook her head. “I don’t want to talk about it. I shouldn’t have said it.” She tried to wiggle out of his arms, but he wouldn’t budge.
“There’s nothing to be embarrassed about.
If you want to try me coming with you to the bathroom when you are Little, we can do that.
And if you don’t like it, we don’t have to do it again.
I bet if you talk to some of the Littles at the club, you would find out that some of them feel the same as you,” he explained.
“There is nothing wrong with you wanting to try something new. You shouldn’t be embarrassed because you want to do it. Do you understand?”
She nodded, and Daddy gave her a pointed look. “Yes, Daddy, I understand.”
It was easier said than done though. She didn’t know how she had the courage to tell him. It was like something had overcome her and before she could even process her own thoughts, she had already said it out loud.
“Everything is going to be okay. There’s a lot we don’t know about each other. It’s all going to work out,” he gently said. “Now, do you want me to help you go potty now, or do you want to do it another time?”
Daisy didn’t know if she had it in her to do it now.
“Maybe later?” she asked. “I don’t know if I can handle much more embarrassment right now.”
Daddy shook his head and cupped her face. “Then we won’t do it right now. You don’t have to be embarrassed about anything, but I know that won’t always be the case. But we are going to work on that.”
“O-okay,” she stuttered.
“Now, you go to the bathroom. When you are done, come downstairs, and we’ll eat breakfast together,” he said.
“I don’t need to eat breakfast,” she replied. “I don’t have breakfast normally anyway.”
Daddy gripped her chin. “And that is going to change. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I don’t want you skipping it anymore. Do you understand?”
“Will you make me breakfast every morning then?” she asked, feeling confident.
“If that is what it will take to have you eat breakfast, then yes,” he replied.
Daisy’s mouth dropped open as she looked at him. “I didn’t think you would agree to it.”
Daddy smiled at her. “If I could have it my way, I would have you moved into my house already to keep a close eye on you. I would cook you every meal. I’d love us to eat together every day so you know how much you mean to me. You are precious to me.”
Daisy rubbed the back of her neck as she looked away. “I just... I said it because I didn’t think you would actually agree to that. It’s a lot of work, and I don’t want you to have to do that for me.”
She was hoping he would agree with her, but, deep down, she knew he wouldn’t. He already wanted to take care of her and make sure she had everything she needed and wanted.
“Nope. If it’s the only way that I’m going to get you to eat breakfast, I will bring it over every morning for you,” he said.
“Daddy,” she mumbled.
“It’s already decided. I want to take care of you. If this is one of the ways, I will gladly do it.”
“Daddy, I don’t want you to have to drive over to my house every morning and waste gas and your time,” she told him.
“Little Flower, if I’m doing it for you, I’m not wasting anything.
I will happily make you breakfast every morning for the rest of our lives.
I will drive over to you, no matter where you live, to make sure that you are eating,” he explained.
“Though I think it would be easier if you moved in with me or if you came to work with me.”
“Daddy.”
It was way too soon for her to be moving into his house. That meant she would have to get rid of the rental and wouldn’t have a place to fall back on if they broke up.
Daddy sighed. “I know you don’t want to move in yet, but I want you to think about it.
You don’t have to decide right now. I know it takes a lot of trust for you to move in here, but I want you to know that you will always have a space here.
I know you have some concerns about moving in.
If you ever want to talk through them, I will listen and help in any way I can.
Your concerns are valid, and I never want you to think that they’re not. ”
Daisy sniffled as tears pooled in her eyes. Daddy just had to be sweet and understanding about everything. The only other person who had ever been like this was Janelle.
“Oh, Little Flower, I didn’t mean to make you cry. Everything is going to be okay. I just want you to know that I’m here for you if you want to talk about things,” he gently said. “Enough about this: You go potty, and come down when you’re ready.”
She nodded and got out of his arms before walking to the bathroom.
She took several seconds to look at herself in the mirror, taking it all in and trying to process it.
Daisy wanted to believe that everything he said was the truth and he really meant it, but there was something small in the back of her mind telling her it wasn’t.
“Everything is going to work out,” she mumbled to herself as she used the bathroom.
Daisy really wanted to take a shower, but Daddy was waiting for her downstairs, and she didn’t have any clean clothes.
“Is everything okay in there?” Daddy asked as he knocked on the door.
She swung the door open, and before either one of them could process what she was doing, she had her arms wrapped around Daddy’s waist, holding on to the back of his shirt.
“Little Flower, what’s wrong?” Daddy asked.
“I’m just overwhelmed by everything,” she whispered. “There are so many things to think about and to decide. I don’t know if I can do all of it. I don’t know if I’ll make the right decisions, or if I’ll do something wrong and ruin it all.”
Daisy hadn’t meant to say all of that, but when it came to being around him, she couldn’t help herself. There was just something about Daddy that made her want to tell him everything.
Maybe it was because she knew that he wouldn’t judge her, or maybe it was because she had never felt this comfortable with somebody before, and she didn’t want them to leave. Which didn’t make sense, because if she really wanted Daddy to stay, she wouldn’t keep saying things.
But when it came to Daddy, nothing made sense. He had an effect on her like nobody else in her life ever had.
“Do you want to talk to me about it?” Daddy asked. “Sometimes having somebody listen is enough and will help you. But if you don’t want to talk about it, you don’t have to. I want you to know that I’m always here for you and will help you, no matter what.”
“Maybe later?” she asked, pulling away from him to look up at his face.
He smiled. “Any time you want to, you just let me know. And before you say anything, it doesn’t matter if I’m in the middle of a meeting, or it’s one in the morning, and you should be asleep.
You call, text, or come to me, and we will sit down and talk.
I’m always here for you. Can you do that for me? ”
She nodded.
“Words, Little Flower.”
“Yes, Daddy. I can do that.”
“Good girl,” he praised her. “Now, let’s go downstairs and eat breakfast.”
“I really don’t think you need to fix this,” she said for the tenth time as they walked into the bathroom. “I figured out how to make it work.”
“If you are fully awake and can react fast enough,” he said. “I’m not having you do that. You should have told me when it first started acting up.”
“I didn’t want to trouble you,” she whispered.
“You wouldn’t be troubling me. Even if we weren’t together, it wouldn’t be a bother. And it wouldn’t be wasting money either, so I don’t want you to think about that.” He gave her a pointed look before she could say anything.
“How did you know what I was going to say?” she asked.
“I know you, and I know how your mind works. You are worried about me spending money on fixing it because, while it’s broken, you have found a way to temporarily work around it and don’t see the need to tell me about it,” he explained.
“Because it doesn’t need to be fixed. I’ve used the other bathroom a lot more anyway because I don’t work in my room,” she pointed out.
“But that still isn’t good. You know that, and I know that. It’s broken, so it should be fixed.” He left no room for any more arguments.
Daisy grumbled under her breath as Daddy started looking at the toilet. She knew she shouldn’t feel guilty, but she couldn’t help it. Daddy had told her that she should tell him if anything was broken, and she hadn’t. But that was before he became her Daddy.
“It’s just the stopper that has broken. When the water reaches it, it doesn’t move up, so it doesn’t know when to shut off,” Daddy explained, but she didn’t understand a word he had said. “I’ve got a spare one in my car. It will only take me a couple of minutes to change it.”
“Okay,” she mumbled and stepped to the side.
“Why don’t you go into the living room and relax?” Daddy suggested.
“I’ve got some work that I need to do,” she said.
She desperately needed to get work done. She had already taken a day and a half off, and she needed to get back to work.
“Nope, you aren’t going to work today,” Daddy declared.
