Chapter 25
Chapter Twenty-Five
“Rolling chairs! Sweet!” Trixie yelled as her Daddy and Marco brought three chairs into the big room. “We can have races!”
Kelsey laughed, liking the sound of that.
Apparently, the Daddies did not, because all three of them said, “No!”
Surprisingly, it was Marco who elaborated. “That is way too dangerous. What if one of the wheels catches? You’d faceplant right onto the floor. Out of the question.”
The warm feeling that started in Kelsey’s core spread, reaching all the way from her toes to her cheeks. Normally, Marco was only strict about things like going out of the apartment by herself because… well, he was always worried bad men were going to get her.
But now, he was acting like other Daddies did!
And she loved it.
“These chairs are for us to sit on while you all go crazy,” John told them. “Maybe this’ll get all that energy out and we can all finally go to bed.”
From the ball pit, Kelsey watched as Daddy sat in one of the chairs. His eyes were glued to her, and she couldn’t help but blush a little as she read the affection in his gaze.
“We should see who can swing the farthest on the rope,” Stephanie suggested. “The Daddies can be the judges.”
Kelsey and Trixie agreed, and a moment later, the three were out of the pit and lined up.
“You can go first, Kelsey,” Stephanie said.
Kelsey knew the comment wasn’t meant for anything other than politeness.
She was a guest there, after all. But it made her a little sad.
How amazing would it be if this was her life?
She understood that every day couldn’t be filled with nothing but ball pits and fun.
Things happened. Bills had to be paid and all that. Life wasn’t all sunshine and roses.
It would be amazing, though, if she and Marco lived at the Daddy Guard headquarters. How cool would that be if they were officially part of the group and not guests?
“You okay?” Stephanie asked her.
Shaking off her thoughts, Kelsey said. “Yeah. Sorry. Okay, here goes!” She took the rope off the hook and prepared.
She went pretty far and beat Stephanie’s swing. But Trixie topped them both and won the contest.
“Congratulations, Trixie,” Stephanie said. “Hey, I’ve got an idea! What if the Daddies have a contest now?”
“I second that,” Trixie eagerly chimed in.
Kelsey smiled as she looked at Marco, her eyes telling him exactly what her vote in the matter was.
“Guys, it’s really late and I’m pretty tired,” John said.
Breaker hadn’t said anything yet, but it was obvious he was thinking it over.
Kelsey looked at Marco and waited for him to say no. But he was actually smiling! And when he stood up, she smiled right along with him.
“It’s late. But how can we turn them down?” he said to the other guys. “They’re pretty cute.”
The Littles cheered.
With a reluctant groan, John stood too. “I guess you’re right. They’re too cute to say no to. On this, that is. But don’t go getting any ideas, Trixie. This isn’t a blank check. I’m not saying yes to everything all the time.”
“Daddies! Daddies! Daddies!” Trixie started chanting.
Kelsey and Stephanie joined in.
“The Littles have spoken,” Marco said.
“Yeah. I guess we can’t keep ‘em waiting,” Breaker added.
Marco was the first Daddy to plunge into the ball pit. And, as it turned out, he won the contest, swinging farther out on the rope than John or Breaker.
To the Littles’ delight, the guys didn’t instantly get back out and sit in the chairs. Instead, they played with their cuties, giving plenty of hugs, kisses, and playfully tossing them around in the balls.
Everyone seemed to be having a blast.
For Kelsey, though, it was even more than simple fun.
It was the best night of her life.
