Chapter 3
Chapter Three
Xavier had to admit the repurposed emergency truck had allowed the Daddy Guard to reach the Wynn Resort in record time.
He was still worried it was drawing a lot of attention, though.
Indeed it was. A valet approached quickly, his eyes darting from the vehicle and its flashing lights then back to Xavier, Breaker, and John as they approached.
“May I help you? Is someone hurt?”
Xavier knew casinos had emergency vehicles all the time, though management preferred they answer calls as discreetly as possible. Vegas was all about image. They didn’t want other guests to be alarmed if someone had a medical emergency or worse, actually died in one of the hotel rooms.
But it happened.
Xavier himself had answered those calls as a police officer.
And then, of course, there was the actual crime.
Casinos kept their places pretty safe, as a rule.
In fact, the casinos were some of the safest places to be.
While they couldn’t prevent all crime from happening, most major hotels on the Strip had out-of-this-world security.
Guests needed to feel safe if they were going to come back and spend all their money.
And the casinos needed to make sure they protected that money.
So, things were usually pretty quiet when it came to crime around there. Inside the walls of the resorts, at least.
But, again, they couldn’t stop all crime and danger—which is why the Daddy Guard was there now, responding to a call.
“We need to find the pool,” John told the young valet. “It’s imperative we get there quickly.”
The young man glanced at them, probably noting they weren’t wearing uniforms of any kind. Shit. That wasn’t good. How long would it be before the cops showed up?
His mind raced back to a few things he’d seen during his years on the Force. There’d definitely been crazier stuff than guys running around town in an emergency vehicle. That probably wasn’t even a felony. At least not one the DA would want to pursue.
What happens in Vegas and all that…
Still, he didn’t want to be in that situation. Hopefully they could be in and out before any real official showed up.
The valet looked back at their big ambulance-like truck and then at them one more time and Xavier could see the resignation on his face before he said, “Which pool? We have twenty-one acres of pristine pools right here on the grounds, sir. Complete with private cabanas and?—”
“The European one,” John said, his tone clearly stressing that this was an emergency and not the time for a canned speech the valet gave tourists.
The valet seemed apologetic as he told them where to go.
“Shall I call hotel security, sir?” he called out as the Daddy Guard members were walking away.
“We’re fine,” John responded over his shoulder.
Xavier had a feeling the guy would still call security.
They were coursing through the casino—the opulent red rugs and gold trim everywhere making the place appear royal and regal.
The sounds of various electronic chirpings and music coming from slot machines, as well as the cheers—and groans—of patrons filled the air.
Somewhere a dealer’s voice saying, “Checks change!” sounded out.
A new voice was heard more clearly against the noise and murmurs of the casino, Marco in Xavier’s and the other guys’ earpieces, stating, “I’ve got the place’s blueprints accessed now. Hook a left once you go through those open double doors and then down that little ramp.”
Xavier knew Marco was seeing what they saw, too, thanks to the tiny pin-size camera John wore on his shirt, clipped to the chest pocket. No one would notice it, but it was giving the Guard’s man back in the truck eyes and ears on the whole operation.
He continued to give them instructions—which was good because the valet’s directions only made so much sense amidst the winding maze that was the giant resort complex. Even hurrying, it took them nearly four minutes to reach the pool.
When they got there, they saw quite a sight.
There were swimmers and loungers scattered about outside, the bright Nevada sun baking them. But many of the women were… topless?
“What the heck?” John said.
“Over here! I’m right here!” a woman cried, waving her arms over her head to draw their attention.
The men hurried toward her.
“Thank god you’re here!” she said. “You need to see this!” Stepping aside, she ushered them toward the private cabana behind her. Before Xavier or any of the others could go inside, the flap opened, and Trixie, Stephanie, and Kelsey popped out.
All three of them topless and wearing only bikini bottoms.
“Surprise!” they said in unison.
John was the first to rush to his wife and Little, Trixie. “Are you all right? Honey, what’s wrong?"
“Nothing!” Trixie said, throwing her arms around him and craning her neck up so she could kiss his cheek. “We asked our friend Nichole to call the new Daddy Guard emergency line so we could get you here. Isn’t this cool? It’s a twenty-one-plus pool where we can swim with our boobies out!”
“Your… boobies out?”
“Free the titties!” Kelsey yelled.
“Oh shit. She’s drunk,” Marco’s voice said in Xavier’s earpiece. “She’d never use that word if she wasn’t. Considers it juvenile. I have to agree.”
Xavier suppressed a smile. The ex-mafia man on the other end of the listening service was full of surprises.
He nodded, even though he realized Marco couldn’t see it. “Yeah. I can smell the alcohol on her from here.”
“Who are you talking to?” Kelsey asked.
“Your Daddy.” Xavier tapped his ear to indicate the listening and mic device.
“Oh. Well tell him I’m not drunk. Just tipsy.”
“He can hear you.”
She winced, as if she knew she’d probably get in trouble later.
Xavier figured all the women would get paddled over this at some point.
Stephanie’s arms were wrapped around Breaker now. “How cool is this, Daddy? It’s a toptional pool. Get it?”
“Yeah, honey. I get it. But… did you really ask Nichole here to call us and tell us that a man was chasing her just so we’d rush over here?”
Their friend Nichole hung her head in shame.
Stephanie seemed a little embarrassed now too. “Well… yeah. But we wanted to surprise you.”
“And give you a chance to test out the new emergency line and that cool truck you got!” Trixie added. “How did it go? Is it fast?”
“Honey, we can talk about all that later. Right now, I am just… I can’t believe you all did that!” John said.
“Sorry for my part in it,” the pretty Nichole said. She followed up the apology with a little wave. “And nice meeting you all.”
“We’re sorry,” Trixie said. “We just thought it would be fun and a nice surprise.”
“Yeah. And since you’re already here,” Kelsey said, “do you want to swim?”
“Tell her we don’t even have bathing suits,” Marco’s voice said in the guys’ ears.
“Good point,” Xavier said. Looking at Kelsey, he relayed the message.
“Actually, you all do. I put them in the compartment under the bench seat all the way down, toward the back doors,” Trixie told them.
“Wow. You really had this all planned out,” John noted.
She nodded.
Xavier watched as John looked at him and the other guys. “Well, since we’re here already and we have swim trunks…” He shrugged.
With a smile on his face, Xavier agreed, but deep down, he still felt a pang of sadness. He’d be the only one without a Little. Nichole was pretty and perhaps they could chat.
But that hope was dashed when he heard her say, “Let me call my Daddy. Maybe he wants to hang out, too!”
The other women agreed while Nichole turned and went into the cabana.
Well, there goes that possibility, Xavier thought.
Maybe one day he’d have a sweet Little of his own.
Hopefully one day very, very soon…
