Chapter 26 #2

Honey sighed, shaking her head with a small smile, a smile that Nikos soaked in. He really liked when she smiled, and lately, he had been seeing it more and more, and like a greedy man, he still wanted to see it.

“You still sound like a neglectful husband,” she said, looking amused, but stubbornly added, “I won’t take it.”

The problem was that he could be just as stubborn as Honey.

He tried to think of what he could do, so he wouldn’t hold Honey back on her goal because he was too busy.

If it were up to him, he would offer to pay for her schooling, but he knew that Honey would never accept that from him, and he didn’t want to ruin their relationship by making her upset with him.

So he thought about it until an idea popped into his mind.

“How about you dance for me?” Nikos suggested. “That way you won’t get the money for no reason.”

He hoped she wouldn’t be offended, but she wasn’t and actually looked amused as she folded her arms together, facing him.

“Wouldn’t that be boring for you since you’ve already seen me dance before?” she asked.

“Trust me. It would definitely be entertaining,” Nikos assured.

No matter how many times he saw Honey dancing before, he never got tired of it, and if he were in the building, he always made sure to see her perform.

That was how good she was at it. Five of her performances were already living in his mind rent-free.

He was pretty sure every man who saw her perform thought the same.

Honey still looked uncertain, and then his phone rang. Nikos pulled it out of his pocket, and when he saw Christos’s name, he knew he needed to answer it.

“Give me a second,” he told Honey, who nodded. Then, he stepped outside his apartment, not wanting Honey to hear anything. Not because he was afraid of her running to the police but because he knew that Honey didn’t like to be privy to this dangerous lifestyle.

“Hello,” Nikos said as he answered the call.

“We’ve got a few of Ricardo’s men,” Christos informed him.

“Do what needs to be done,” Nikos said, not wanting to say too much over the phone, but Christos knew what he meant.

They had been trying to find a way to get to Ricardo for a while now, and this would be the way to do it.

If they had to break a couple of bones to do so, then so be it.

He had long gotten past the morals that had stopped him from hurting people.

Now he did it because he knew it needed to be done.

That was his cross to bear after taking over his uncle’s position.

“Are you coming?” Christos asked.

“I’m busy with Honey,” Nikos said. He would need to help her get her things in her car, and he would probably have to drive with her back home too and help her carry everything upstairs. He didn’t want her to have to do it by herself.

The line went silent, but Nikos already knew what Christos was thinking, and now he wished he hadn’t mentioned her name.

For some reason, Christos thought there was something between them, but Nikos knew better.

Honey didn’t want him, and his uncle’s warning was always clear in his mind, even with him in a coma.

“It isn’t like that,” Nikos said. Christos was probably thinking they were fucking when, in actuality, he had just spent the day with her helping her make desserts for her son’s school.

“Don’t forget about your uncle,” Christos told him before he hung up.

Nikos sighed. How could he forget about him?

Nikos shoved his phone back into his pocket, and when he stepped back inside of his apartment, he was surprised to hear music playing.

But what was even more surprising was Honey.

She stood in the middle of the room with her hair down and a chair in front of her.

Just having her hair down alone was enough to change the mood in the room, and though she had been wearing the shorts and black blouse all day, suddenly, it looked sexy.

“Are we doing this?” he asked because though he was the one to suggest it, he thought she would decline. Honey shrugged.

“You said you wanted a private dance.”

Nikos walked over and sat down in the chair, and Honey went over to the control panel in the room and dimmed the lights.

Surprisingly, he felt nervous, and he didn’t know why.

It wasn’t his first private dance. In fact, he had many of them from the dancers at the club, and he had never been nervous with any of them.

As a matter of fact, he had been the one seducing them even as they took their clothes off for him.

But definitely, in this scenario, he was the one being seduced, and Honey had complete control over him as she strutted over to him to a stop before she slowly rolled her hips in the way that always made him imagine if she could do that in the bedroom too.

Honey danced to the slow RnB music, keeping her eyes directly on him, something she never did on stage.

When she was up there, she was in her own personal world, and you were lucky if your eyes even connected with hers.

She danced for no one in particular up on that stage, but right now, she danced only for him, and it made it so that he couldn’t blink.

He kept his eyes open, watching Honey unbuttoning her blouse before she tossed it away.

She turned around, showing her back to him as she unzipped her shorts, and slowly she slipped them off, going down with them until she touched her toes.

She now stood before him in only her panties and bra, looking like a goddess.

Honey walked over to him and bent over, gently shaking, and he watched her ass jiggle in a way that made him want to spread them apart so he could taste her.

She swirled around him, seducing him with the roll of her hips and the look in her eyes until she unclasped her bra, and Nikos dug his fingers into his jeans.

He never got hard while watching the girls perform on stage, no matter how sexy they could be.

But right now, with Honey looking at him the way she was and her beautiful breasts teasing him, it was taking everything in him not to pitch a tent.

“No sly words?” Honey asked knowingly as she cupped her breasts.

Nikos shook his head mindlessly, feeling like a zombie with no thoughts.

“No sly words,” he agreed because even with the intimate situation at hand, he could not tell Honey the real thoughts in his mind, the dirty filthy things that he wanted to do to her.

He wanted to bend her over and eat her out, getting a sweet taste of her honey.

He wanted to spread her across the table and fuck her deep and hard.

He wanted to take that syrup and drip it over her body before licking it all up himself.

He wanted her. That had never been a question, but he wanted her now more than ever.

But he knew it was best to keep those thoughts to himself.

Honey wasn’t doing this because she wanted him.

She was getting paid. He needed to remember that.

“Really?” Honey asked as she dropped down on him.

She grinded on his lap, and Nikos wanted to follow etiquette.

He didn’t want to grope her. But her scent was intoxicating, and a different energy was in the room between them, so his hands moved on their own accord, sliding up her soft thighs until they gripped her hips.

Honey didn’t stop and continued to rotate her hips, grinding that soft, fat ass on him.

Nikos’s head fell against her shoulder, feeling himself get hard, and if she noticed, she said nothing nor made a move to leave.

Nikos dragged his nose along her shoulder up to her neck, intoxicated by the room, and before he knew it, he grabbed her neck, guiding her to look at him.

When their eyes met, they paused, staring into each other’s eyes.

The music continued to play, and it felt like a magnet was pulling them together.

He leaned forward, and she did too. Their lips were mere inches from each other, and any warnings his uncle and Christos had given him had all but disappeared from his head.

He wanted to kiss her. No. He wanted to fuck her.

He wanted to fuck her more than he wanted to fuck any woman.

But just as their lips nearly touched, his doorbell rang.

It was as if the spell cast in the room was dispelled within an instant.

Honey blinked before standing, and Nikos sighed, knowing the moment was over.

Honey picked up her clothes and headed to the back, and Nikos shoved his fingers through his hair and walked to the door.

If he weren’t so annoyed right now, he would have looked at his camera first, but he swung the door open, and to his surprise, it was Rheagan.

“Why are you here?” Nikos asked tersely. He was tired of her popping up at his place unannounced. Rheagan smirked before she barged past him into his loft.

“I keep getting calls from my school because I didn’t pay for my classes this semester,” Rheagan complained. “Can you pay for it?”

“What happened to the money I gave you before?” Nikos asked, perplexed because he hadn’t given her chump change. He had given her a large amount, twice. “What about the money you make from the club?”

“I spent it on food and clothes…and jewelry,” Rheagan said, looking sheepish before she waved it off. “Anyway, it couldn’t be helped. I need to feed myself and get new clothes to look good at the club.”

Rheagan fluttered her eyelashes at him before grabbing his hand and rubbing it gently.

She was trying to play coy, but he wasn’t in the mood.

He was pissed, actually. And it wasn’t just because she had interrupted his dance.

It was because his patience with her had reached its tipping point. He couldn’t do this anymore.

“Rheagan.”

“Yes?”

“Stop coming here and asking me for money,” Nikos said with more base in his tone than usual, but he was tired of this. Rheagan looked flabbergasted as she released his hand, but Nikos didn’t care at all.

“We have no relationship together, and the last time I gave you money was the last time,” Nikos said, not caring how harsh he may have sounded because if he didn’t give it to Rheagan straight, then she would never stop coming around.

“I’m not giving you money anymore. What I gave you before, you should have saved it or spent it wisely. ”

He felt like he was speaking to a child, but Rheagan wasn’t that young.

Even when he was her age, he hadn’t been this frivolous with money, and he was the son of Giannis Drakos, one of the richest men in Athens.

Rheagan knew she should save her money, but now she was taking advantage of him and treating him like a piggybank.

He realized that Raelyn must have gone through this with Rheagan too.

“It wasn’t that much,” Rheagan tried to say dismissively as she looked away from his eyes.

“I gave you over a hundred grand,” Nikos said. “I can’t believe you wasted it all in less than two months.”

Rheagan looked at him, her eyes pooling with tears. “But I don’t have anyone anymore.”

Nikos wanted to pull his hair out then. All this time, he had felt guilty, feeling like he had been the one to break the relationship between Rheagan and her sister, but after these past few months, he knew better now. He wasn’t the only one at fault.

“Then you shouldn’t have slept with your sister’s boyfriend,” Nikos said.

“Half-sister,” Rheagan bit out stubbornly as if it made her actions right, but Nikos found himself looking at her with disgust.

“I have a brother that I share no blood with, but I would die for him, and I would never betray him by sleeping with his wife. Never,” Nikos said, and Rheagan’s eyes widened from the fierceness of his tone.

“Stop being a brat and grow up. As a matter of fact, stop coming to my place and following me around. Whatever we had in the past meant nothing. I only wanted to hurt Raelyn.”

His last words made her tears fall as they stood together in silence.

Nikos sighed deeply, wishing that he had never slept with Rheagan to get revenge because if he hadn’t, he wouldn’t be going through this right now.

It felt like he was facing karma, and he thought that had been losing Raelyn, but now he realized it was him being saddled with Rheagan, who wouldn’t leave him alone.

Nikos was ready to call her a cab when he heard footsteps.

He looked up to see Honey standing there, to his shock.

He had forgotten she was here. She was fully dressed now, and the way she looked at him let him know that he would never get a private dance from her again.

When Rheagan saw her, she immediately wiped her tears and looked at them both accusingly.

“Why is she here?” Rheagan demanded, and Nikos shook his head.

“I don’t have to tell you anything,” Nikos said, hoping Rheagan would understand that it wasn’t her place to question why there was a woman in his home. They had nothing together. He turned to speak to Honey, but she looked directly at Rheagan, who was frowning.

“Get some dignity and self-respect,” Honey told Rheagan. Rheagan blanched, looking affronted, and Nikos hoped a fight wouldn’t break out in his loft.

“Who are you to tell me that—”

“Someone with self-respect, who would never depend on a man for anything,” Honey said, and Rheagan flinched. “Don’t bother with an asshole like him and love yourself first, and then no man will ever have the power to break you down like this.”

Tears fell down Rheagan’s eyes again as they all stood in tense silence before she stormed out of his loft, humiliated. Nikos watched her back as she left, hoping that she would listen to Honey’s words, even if he were the asshole in the end in both of their eyes.
