Chapter 3

Baron guided her backward, his mouth never leaving hers, until her shoulders met the cool wall of his hallway.

His hands slid to her wrists, pinning them gently above her head as his kiss deepened, tongue sliding against hers with a hunger that made her knees weak.

When he finally pulled back, his eyes were dark, pupils dilated with want.

“I’ve been thinking about this,” he murmured against her neck, teeth grazing the sensitive skin there. “Every night since I had you in that hotel. Wondering if you tasted the same. If you’d make those little sounds again.”

Penny’s breath came in short gasps. “Baron—”

“I tried to forget,” he continued, his voice a low rumble against her skin. “Tried to be professional. Respectful.” His free hand found the tie of her wrap dress, tugging it slowly. “But then you’d look at me across the room, and all I could think about was getting you underneath me again.”

The dress loosened, falling open just enough to reveal the edge of her lace-trimmed bra. Baron’s eyes followed the movement, his jaw tightening.

“God,” he breathed. “Look at you.”

Penny’s chest heaved, her body responding to his gaze like a match to kindling. She’d spent months pretending she didn’t want this—want him—with every fiber of her being. Months of casual conversations while her body screamed for his touch.

“I shouldn’t want this,” she whispered.

He released her wrists, his hands sliding down to cup her face. “But you do.”

“Yes,” she admitted, the word barely audible.

That was all he needed. Baron swept her into his arms in one fluid motion, carrying her down the hallway with determined strides.

His bedroom was dark, moonlight spilling through tall windows and painting silver streaks across the massive bed.

He set her down at the foot of it, his hands immediately returning to her dress.

“I’ve been patient,” he said, unwrapping her like she was something precious, something he’d waited a lifetime to open. “So damn patient.”

The dress fell away, pooling at her feet in a whisper of fabric. Penny stood before him in nothing but a matching set of emerald lace, her skin prickling with goosebumps despite the warmth of the room.

Baron took a step back, drinking in the sight of her. “Christ, Penny.”

She reached for his shirt, fingers trembling slightly as she worked the buttons. “Your turn.”

He let her undress him, watching her face as she revealed each new inch of his body. His chest was broad and defined, a roadmap of muscle and subtle scars that told stories she wanted to learn. When she reached for his belt, his hand caught hers.

“Slow down,” he commanded softly.

Penny looked up, confused. “I thought—”

“I know what you thought,” Baron said, his voice a deep timbre that resonated through her body.

“But I’ve waited too long to rush this.” He took her hands and placed them flat against his chest, letting her feel the thunderous beating of his heart.

“Feel that? That’s what you do to me. Every. Single. Day.”

Penny’s breath caught as his hands slid up her bare arms, leaving trails of fire in their wake. The moonlight carved shadows across his face, highlighting the sharp angle of his jaw, the intensity in his eyes that made her feel both vulnerable and powerful.

“I’ve been watching you,” he continued, walking her backward until her calves hit the edge of his bed.

“Taking care of my mother. Taking care of everyone. Always giving.” His fingers traced the delicate strap of her bra, sliding it down her shoulder with agonizing slowness. “Tonight, you don’t give. You take.”

She shivered, her skin erupting with goosebumps. “Baron—”

“Shh,” he hushed, pressing a finger to her lips. “Let me show you how I’ve imagined this. Every night. Every time I saw you bend over a patient chart. Every time you laughed and wouldn’t meet my eyes.”

His hands found the clasp of her bra, releasing it with expert precision. The garment fell away, and Baron’s breath hissed between his teeth. His eyes darkened as they took in the full curves of her breasts, the dusky peaks already tightened with anticipation.

“Perfect,” he murmured, lowering his head to taste her.

Penny gasped as his mouth closed around her nipple, his tongue circling the sensitive bud while his hand kneaded her other breast. Her fingers threaded through his hair, holding him against her as pleasure coursed through her veins like liquid fire.

“Oh god,” she whispered, her head falling back.

Baron’s mouth released her only to claim her lips again, this time with bruising intensity. His hands gripped her waist, lifting her effortlessly onto the bed. He stood between her parted thighs, looking down at her with a hunger that made her feel devoured already.

“I’ve been so careful,” he said, unbuckling his belt with deliberate slowness. “So restrained. Making sure you knew I respected you.” The leather slid from the loops with a whisper that somehow sounded like a promise. “But there’s nothing respectful about what I want to do to you right now.”

Penny’s core tightened at his words, heat pooling between her thighs. “Then don’t be respectful,” she challenged, surprising herself with her boldness.

Something flashed in Baron’s eyes—something primal and possessive. In one swift movement, he was on the bed, flipping her over onto her stomach. His body covered hers, his weight pressing her deliciously into the mattress as his lips found her ear.

“I’ve been holding back,” he whispered, his breath hot against her ear as his weight pinned her to the mattress.

“Every time I’ve been near you, every moment we’ve shared—I’ve been a gentleman.

” His hand slid beneath her, fingers splaying across her stomach, pulling her hips up against him.

“But I’m done pretending I don’t want to consume you. ”

Penny gasped as she felt the hard length of him pressing against her, only the thin lace of her panties and his boxer briefs separating them. His teeth grazed the sensitive spot where her neck met her shoulder, sending electric currents racing down her spine.

“Tell me you want this,” Baron demanded, voice rough with restraint. “Tell me you’ve thought about it too.”

“Yes,” she breathed, arching back against him. “God, yes. Every night. Every time you looked at me across the room.”

His growl was animalistic as he hooked his fingers into her panties and dragged them down her thighs. The cool air kissed her heated skin for only a moment before Baron’s large palm connected with the curve of her ass in a gentle slap that made her cry out.

“I’ve dreamed about this,” he confessed, kneading the flesh he’d just struck. “About having you spread out beneath me, wet and wanting.” His fingers trailed between her thighs, finding the slick evidence of her desire. “Just like this.”

Penny buried her face in the sheets, overwhelmed by the intensity of sensation as his fingers explored her, teasing her entrance before sliding up to circle the bundle of nerves that made her whimper.

She heard the rustle of fabric as he shed his remaining clothes, then felt the blunt head of his cock pressing against her.

“Look at me,” he commanded.

She turned her head, meeting his gaze over her shoulder. The raw hunger in his eyes made her breath catch.

“I want to see your face when I take you,” Baron said, his voice a deep rumble that she felt in her bones. “I want to watch you come apart.”

With one powerful thrust, he buried himself inside her, stretching her deliciously. Penny cried out, fingers clutching desperately at the sheets as her body adjusted to his size. Baron stayed still for a moment, his chest pressed against her back, his breathing harsh against her ear.

“So tight,” he groaned. “So perfect.”

Then he began to move, setting a relentless pace that had her gasping with each thrust. His hands gripped her hips hard enough to bruise, holding her exactly where he wanted her as he drove into her again and again.

The headboard slammed rhythmically against the wall, the sound mingling with their shared moans.

“Is this what you wanted?” he demanded, one hand sliding up to tangle in her hair, pulling just enough to arch her back further. “To be filled by me? Claimed by me?”

“Yes,” Penny gasped, the word barely audible as pleasure coursed through her. “God, yes.”

Baron growled his approval against her neck, teeth grazing the sensitive skin there. His rhythm never faltered as one hand snaked beneath her to cup her breast, thumb brushing over her hardened nipple.

“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted this,” he murmured, his voice strained with restraint. “Watching you in those tight skirts at the office, imagining bending you over your desk.”

His confession sent another rush of heat through her body. The thought that he’d been fantasizing about her while maintaining that cool, professional demeanor during their meetings made her clench around him involuntarily.

“Fuck,” he hissed, feeling her response. “Do that again.”

Penny deliberately tightened around him, reveling in his groan of pleasure. The power she felt in that moment was intoxicating, even as he dominated her body.

Baron shifted his angle slightly, and suddenly he was hitting a spot inside her that made stars explode behind her eyelids. She cried out, louder this time, beyond caring who might hear.

“That’s it,” he encouraged, increasing his pace. “Let me hear you. Let everyone hear who’s making you feel this good.”

His hand abandoned her breast to slide between her legs, fingers finding her clit with unerring accuracy. The dual sensations—his thick length stretching her from within, his fingers working her from without—pushed her rapidly toward the edge.

“Baron, I’m going to—” she couldn’t finish the sentence as her orgasm crashed over her, intense and overwhelming. Her body convulsed around him, waves of pleasure making her vision blur.

“That’s it, sweetheart,” he praised, his voice tight with the effort of maintaining control. “Give it to me.”
