Chapter 4

Chapter four

Bully

“You are going to have so much fun,” Kaylee chirps as we enter the party.

She finally convinced me to go to a damn house party.

I’ve known her since my first day of college and she has adopted me as her hermit best friend.

She accepted my reclusive tendencies most of the time, but four years later, she finally convinced me.

She used the excuse that this is my last year of college, and I should experience a party at least once.

Unfortunately… I agree. I’ll regret it if I don’t go.

I just don’t do well with people. Especially this crowd.

She knows I went to high school with several people here and understands that I was teased incessantly by the jocks.

I don’t know why they did it. Although, I also never spoke up.

They weren’t cruel or anything, but it would hurt my feelings when they would pick fun at me.

Brett Sinclair and Zeke Cassidy were the ring leaders of the teasing, so I immediately feel like fleeing when I see them standing in the living room.

“Kaylee,” I whine. “Brett and Zeke are here.”

“Alice, baby. I mean this in the nicest way possible. Grow a backbone and tell them it bothers you. Only then are you allowed to get upset,” she says kindly. “Or… just ignore them. Have fun!”

“I need alcohol,” I frown.

“I got you, babe,” she smiles. She grabs my hand and drags me to the kitchen so she can grab two cups of beer. She shoves one in my hand as she takes a sip of the other. “Drink.”

“Ah. Warm beer,” I laugh. “What a memory I’ll cherish forever.”

“Everyone thinks you are this quiet little mouse, but I know you, Alice. You’re a bratty little smartass,” she teases.

“You’re not wrong,” I giggle.

“Well, who do we have here?” Brett says as he puts his arm around my shoulder. I roll my eyes just as Zeke wraps his arm around my waist.

“Now what’s a mousey little thing like you doing at a party?” Brett whispers in my ear.

“I’ve been here for not even five minutes and you’re already bothering me,” I deadpan.

“We can always spot what's out of place,” Zeke smirks.

“Oh, fuck you,” I snap. “Go bother someone else.” They both chuckle before walking away.

“Do you want to mingle with me?” she asks.

“No. I’m going to just people watch,” I say.

“That’s actually fun,” she laughs. “I’m going to mingle.”

I nod as she walks off. Most of the time, I’m okay with being by myself. I’ll get lonely but it passes, and I go back to being content as an introvert.

“I don’t normally see pretty girls sitting alone,” a guy says from beside me.

“Me? Oh. I was forced to be here,” I laugh nervously.

“Ah, I see,” he says. “My name is Fisher.”

“Alice,” I say with a smile. He turns his body to me and nods in Kaylee’s direction.

“Is she your friend?”

“Yeah,” I say, turning to look at Kaylee. She is laughing with some girls telling a story. I can tell because she talks with exaggerated hand gestures.”

“And she left you here all alone?” he asks with a devious smile. He is standing so close that I can smell his expensive cologne. I get bad vibes from this guy, so I turn and grab my cup before standing.

“Not alone,” I say. “I need to catch up with her.” As I turn, I run straight into Zeke, and I drop my cup.

“Oops,” Zeke smiles.

“Seriously?” I ask with a deadpan expression. When I turn, Fisher is gone. Thank God for Zeke being annoying. That guy creeped me out.

“Who was your friend?” Brett asks.

“Not my friend,” I say. “Weird guy who was annoying. What do you two want?”

“Come sit with us,” he says. “Kaylee is joining us too.” I look past them and Kaylee waves me over.

“Fine,” I frown.

“I’ll even get you another drink,” Zeke says. I watch as he steps away, grabs a clean cup, and fills it from the keg. Zeke turns and hands it to me with a smile. “For you, my lady.”

“Thanks,” I say. When I grab the cup, he doesn’t let go immediately.

“Don’t you ever take your eyes off your drinks again,” Zeke says in a shockingly stern voice that stuns me for a second.

“O-okay,” I stutter.

“I’m serious, Alice. You are fucking lucky I have no interest in seeing you get hurt.

” I stare at him confused. My drink was always beside me.

I only looked at Kaylee for a second and my hand was on my drink.

His dramatic outburst is so confusing. Even more so when he softens again and smiles. “Come on.”

When we get over to a larger group, I see Kaylee and she smiles at me. I give her a confused look and she flashes her phone at me. I pull mine out as Zeke pulls me down to sit between him and Brett.

Kaylee: Zeke saw that douche drug your drink. Please keep an eye on your drink. If you ever question it, just get a new one. Don’t let people get you drinks unless you see it’s a new cup and it comes straight from the keg

Me: This is why I’m a hermit. My first day of socializing and I was almost murdered.

Kaylee: Not murdered. Raped. Watch your drink, Alice.

“You’re okay,” Zeke says, bumping my shoulder with his.

“Uh… thanks,” I say quietly. Of all people, why would Zeke give a fuck what happens to me?

I sit with my beer and listen to everyone talk about graduation and plans after college. “You can drink it,” Brett says as he leans in. I’ve been sitting here for nearly an hour, and I haven’t taken a sip of my drink.

“I’m… I’m okay,” I say, setting my cup on the table in front of me.

“Hey! Let’s play suck and blow,” a girl says as she perks up.

“Yes!” They say. I groan when Zeke and Brett agree in unison.

“Alice?” Kaylee asks. I know what the game is, but she knows Zeke and Brett tease me incessantly.

I do feel safe with them though. Tonight proves that.

I’ve never thought that they would hurt me.

I guess I’m just surprised that they defended me.

I’ve never been in a situation that required defending.

“Does our mousy girl even know how to play?” Zeke teases.

“Oh, she reads smut. She knows what’s up,” Kaylee winks at me. I narrow my eyes at her, and she giggles.

“I’m a hermit. Not an idiot,” I say, annoyed. “I’ll play.”

When a smile grows on his face, I know I fucked up. “Start us off, Kaylee.”

She grabs a playing card and puts it to her mouth.

The point of the game is for you to suck on the card and hand it off to someone else without dropping the card.

So, you are just basically passing the card around only using your mouth.

It goes from person to person without issue.

Men pass it to men. Women pass it to women.

The moment it gets to Zeke, I know what he’s going to do.

I’m not a chicken. So what if he kisses me?

I’ve kissed people. It’s not that big of a deal.

Zeke leans in to pass the card but it’s his hands grabbing my face that distracts me.

He drops the card and kisses me hard. I am instantly sucked into his orbit as I get lost in his kiss.

His tongue tastes like beer and spearmint from the candy he was eating earlier.

When I feel Brett put his hand on my thigh it snaps me back into reality and I pull away.

Brett grabs my chin and gently turns my face towards him as a blush creeps up my neck and fills my cheeks. Everyone is looking at me… us. “Our sweet little mouse is blushing,” he says softly. “Can’t handle a little kiss?”

“What I can’t handle has nothing to do with my reaction to people watching me,” I frown.

It is obnoxious when they imply that I’m some innocent little flower.

Just because I’m introverted, doesn’t mean I don’t understand or that I haven’t done anything.

Hell, I lost my virginity in a threesome with Kaylee and her boyfriend at the time. I don’t think that’s innocent.

“Oh?” Brett asks, moving closer. “So, you can handle… more?”

“More people or more kissing?” I ask seriously. Kaylee laughs out loud, and it makes me smile.

“Oh, she can handle more people,” Kaylee answers vaguely.

“Then this shouldn’t be too big of a deal,” he says, brushing his lips against mine. He squeezes the bend of my hip but stifles my involuntary moan with his mouth. He kisses me hard and keeps squeezing. When he lets go, I pull away from our kiss.

“Mmm. Those little rosy cheeks,” he says cupping my face and running his thumb across my hot cheek.

“Stop implying that I’m innocent,” I say as I smack his arm away.

“Aren’t you though?” Zeke asks.

“Just because I don’t go to stupid college parties does not make me innocent,” I retort.

“So, you’re not a virgin?” Brett teases. “Here I was hoping to pop your cherry.”

“Too late, boys. I did it for you,” Kaylee says seriously. When I grin at her words, Brett is visibly surprised. “She can handle anything you give her.”

“That is not what I mean,” I say quickly.

“Oh? Are we too much to handle?” Zeke asks.

“Not in the slightest. I’m sure I can handle something that small,” I say with a snarky tone. Kaylee laughs as Zeke leans in and whispers in my ear.

“You wanna make a bet?” he says.

“What? Wanting to prove that your mouth does more than just spout bullshit?” I ask.

“If you think you’re all big and bad, then let’s play a game,” Brett says.

“7 minutes in heaven style,” Zeke continues. “Go to the back bedroom. Blindfold yourself and sit on the bed. If we can make those beautiful thighs tremble, we get to keep you for the night.”

“And if they don’t?” I ask.

“Then we owe you one. No matter what it is, we will owe you one favor each,” he says.

I look at Kaylee and she nods with a grin on her face.

She is the only one paying attention to us now.

That little bitch set this up. I know she means well.

I haven’t been laid in a while, so this is her way of helping.

I won’t deny that Zeke and Brett are gorgeous men, but I also know that I’m easily susceptible to being affected.

Brett just did it with hardly any effort, which only means I’m about to get fucked by my bullies tonight.

“Fine,” I say simply.
