I stare at the ceiling, my mind racing. I’ve never been an overly sexual person, and I know my focus is slipping.

“What are you thinking about?” she whispers.

“My obsession with music has switched to you. What if I can’t write anymore?”

“Pfft.” She pats my chest. “You just wrote your best song, without my music. All yours. It was amazing. What if you write better now because you have another outlet? What if”—she sits up and grins down at me—“me unclogging your pipes opens up the possibility of more music because you understand passion better?”

“Both of you go to sleep,” Remy grumbles, rolling over. “She’s right anyway. And now, since you woke up the dogs, you can take them out.”

I lean over and kiss Tianna on the forehead. “If you’re right, we’ll need to make sure I never back up again.”
