The first light of day comes through my bedroom window.

I am in the arms of the man who has captivated every living moment of my life since I met him.

I would usually be more worried about a stranger breaking into my house in the middle of the night, but Liam has a way of making me feel safe in situations I really shouldn’t.

He has been the only desire I have had since he stepped into the diner during my shift, almost a month ago now.

At first, he was only the guy who watched me work. He wouldn’t come close enough to talk to me for a long time. Then he suddenly changed. I have been catching myself wishing for him to be around more and more.

He has brought a sense of safety and danger, both at the same time, into my life that I welcome. He makes me feel alive and loved when everyone else, until now, made me feel the opposite.

It's a nice change to feel wanted for once—to feel like someone would do anything for you. Even though he hasn’t said anything of such a nature to me, I have a feeling that he would do great things for me. In a sense, I would do anything for him, too.
